The game is a few short days old, already I’m seeing things like “increase pitch speeds” “nerf perfect/perfect” “giving up too many runs” lets all just take a minute here. This game is a few days old, no one here has even played a single game ranked on hall of fame, all on all star and below. It’s always been a slugfest in these lower levels, always. The pci is massive because it’s SUPPOSED to be massive at the lower levels. Pitch speeds are slower because there SUPPOSED to be slower on the lower levels. Remember we all would call it “all star hell” whenever we finished a RS and they place you back down in the pennet race division? Let’s give the game a full ranked season and then revisit these topics. Will things need to be adjusted? Perhaps. But without getting to those higher divisions and playing in them we won’t know exactly for sure. I’m not saying the game won’t need to be tweeted at some point, I’m just saying now is not that point. No one here has played in division series or higher. I believe that’s when it goes to HOF if I remember correctly. Let’s give the game 1 full ranked season and then evaluate from there. So far I think the game is really good. Being rewarded for good swings is great, I love it. I don’t even really get mad if I line out on “good/squared up” because I know that had i perfect/perfected it it would’ve been different, and that’s on my input. In past game where good/squared up was the best input you could get it would frustrate me because then I felt like I had done everything I could and just got RNGed into an out. This year you really know if you did hit it perfect which is awesome

Yeah I’m more worried that baseball season might be canceled than I am about possible upgrades to cards in the game. I enjoy watching baseball and look forward to it all offseason. Plus my padres have made some moves that I’m personally excited for and wanted to see if we could break .500 this year.

I took a week off starting Thursday. I get 4 weeks off a year so I decided to spend one to enjoy the game

People are weird. Baseball probably has seen the most cheating in NA sports history and continues to do so. Must be nice living your youth in the "triggered era".

Death penalty worthy? I love when people exaggerate things. I simply requested no flashbacks of these cheaters, not the death penalty.

What if we are not defending the fact that they cheated because it is very disappointing and embarrassing. Are we still allowed to support our team though as baseball fans?

As a baseball fan you should denounce your 2017 WS title as well as altuves mvp award. Doing so would gain back way more respect from other fans. If their organization does the same it would really speed up the healing process from this debacle. Other fans are more upset that they cheated and the punishment was way too light in other fans eyes. Now if the punishment fit the crime (taking away the trophy and rings, and the mvp award.) Then more fans would agree that they were punished more on par with what the crime calls for and that they’ve then at least not gotten just a slap on the wrist.

ok, then go back and wipe everything in baseball having to do with cheating. Good luck with that. Like it or not, cheating is embedded deep in the game's history. Not saying what we did is correct. It was awful and as a lifelong fan I am disgraced by it.

However, everyone coming out and acting holier than thou has us Astros fans pissed. "Take away the trophy", ok then take away the Giants' 1951 pennant, take away Aaron's HR record since it was done with greenies... hell stop idolising The Babe who happened to cork his bats.

Thank you for becoming the example of how Astros fans are. This right here. First they “say” they don’t agree with it. Then they minimize the cheating by comparing it to other offenses. Then they defend it. This post right here is how every Astro fan I’ve interacted with has been. That team is a disgrace to the game.

I have 3 birthday are Jan, Feb, and Jun so I am good, my wife she does not care that I play. Been married almost 20 years so she is used to it already. My kids come first. When I know I have to help them with homework or with there electronics, I do not play online so I am not pausing that much. If I do play online I tell them ahead of time that they will have to wait until game is over.

I say the same to my wife, I’ll tell her “hey I’m going to start a game online, it’ll take about 45 mins, if you need anything done tell me now so I can do it before or if it can wait 45 mins I’ll do it after” lol

I’ve had plenty of k’s so far online.....if anything I’ve had more than expected playing on beginner and veteran so far

Kiki’s tops now is great for the bench, hits lefties really well can play a huge amount of positions with gold defense

I thought the same when I saw the new BR plates. I don’t really enjoy BR, but typically make WS 5-10 times every year. Would be nice for that to be added. The top 50 banners are the “special” banners for ranked seasons, but making top 50 is tough. I’ve came close a few times, but never got in the 50.

Yeah, I’m definitely not a top 50 player lol. I usually get to WS then move on to other things like events and stuff. I can’t play on legend, I’m just awful at it. Lol

I can’t wait to see the stats on all 3. Any of them could easily fit on my team. Maybe I’ll get one and buy another also this inning if I can’t choose between them

If you take more pitches you’ll get more in the zone. No one wants to walk every batter. If someone I’m playing is chasing constantly they will see far much worse pitches than if I’m playing someone I know is going to be more selective I feel as though I have to at least throw it close to the zone or they’ll take it

Nothing wrong with using a squeeze play. I’ve had it happen against me, I was more mad at myself for not thinking about that and not setting myself up to defend it. You just tip your cap and move on.

The better player does win 90+% of the time.....look at the records of the top players, if the game were as random and user input didn’t matter they wouldn’t be having the records they do. It’s literally an impossibility.
