To site an example:
Trout, Degrom and Acuna alone are close to 800,000 stubs. That’s basically $800 in cash unless you’re extremely lucky with pulls or you get 12 BR wins and get them as rewards. That’s just taking advantage of people IMHO, especially with the extremely low percentage of pulling diamonds out of packs. Seems a little greedy to me...
Just a week or two ago, it wasn’t even close to that. Trout was around 350K and Acuna was 150K. I’m sure they’ll come down in the next 2 weeks. Or at least I hope they do.
I completed the collections in May 8. Total cost then was roughly 2M. Today the total cost is 1.91M.

It depends what they do next. If they do a flash sale prices will fall a good bit. If they do a stub sale the 90+ live series diamonds could really climb.
-
Might want to hold back on the greed and foul and other fun adjectives considering who it is that sets the prices.

It's all good ... We all pulled a lot of diamonds and get extremely lucky in packs opening so nothing to worry about ................................................. That great smell of sarcasm ............

I feel stubs are easier to come by this year so it hasn't bothered me anyone who has to spend cash this year isn't playing the game enough ...

Bought Trout early for about 300K stubs and packed DeGrom and Acuna on the first night of early access.

Glad I had already bought Acuna and Degrom at around 125k but Trout just keeps climbing.

This is the first year I've played where I actually think I can finish the LS collection. It might be at the end of July, but I'm confident I can do it with all the stubs and packs the game throws at us this year.

Me as well, but I have way more teams completed this year at this time than last!
I'm shocked at how low some Diamonds are, like Verlander and Arenado. Stras & Scherzer are cheap as well, while Acuna's price is ridiculous. -
Well see about Trout's value once we get a confirmation on on whether or not he's out longer than 6-8 weeks. Wouldn't his value drop if his condition is worse than originally thought?

I doubt he will drop at all, all they can change is his durability, and that might lower him 1 point, still gonna be a 400k card til ASB and there are new 99 cards every 3 days.

I don't believe they change ratings for players while they are injured, and while SDS has removed other injured players from teams and put them in free agency, I don't think they would ever do that to Trout. Even if inside edge didn't apply, Trout is still one of the best cards in the game. If anything his price is going to go up when there is a stub sale, and I'm pretty sure that will happen on Memorial Day weekend in less than 2 weeks. At that point I would predict 500k+ sell now price.

I pulled all the gate keepers before I knew about the collections and sold them all. Some multiple times. That was in the beginning tho, now packs are dogsh:t.

I have only Padres and Dodgers left, and I plan on finishing Padres today. I spent 200 bucks at the beginning on stubs to get a head start on investing. I have only pulled 3 diamonds this year, Freeman, Bieber and Yates. Super easy to get stubs this year and if I was patient I could have easily done it NMS. But I believe the main collection should be difficult to complete. Not everyone should have Chipper a month into the game. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

You can buy stubs for the game on the Playstation or Xbox store. Every year they go on sale a few times. Each time they do, people purchase stubs to get cards off the market which causes inflation. Prices go up, and for some cards they go up a lot. It can be annoying for those that don't buy stubs since your earned stubs don't go as far, but you can combat that a bit by investing in cards you think will increase and then cash out at the peak.
It's one of the main reasons why I prioritized flipping on the market early on so I could get the live series collection done before that happened. I got Chipper yesterday, so now I'm just flipping to get other lower level flashback/legend diamonds before they're needed for collections.
