    Last night had a guy holding R2 strategically late (well played), bunt dancing and bunting all game, stealing every chance he could get. I retaliated with R2 for an inning so so which slowed down the shenanigans but he eventually ramped it back up. Ended up winning 1-0 off a single from my pitcher in the 6th. Awful game, very satisfying victory.

    They need to do it like real life , you can step out the box for a few seconds take a breath , but once the animation of your guy is in the box the pitcher should be able to throw. Also looking at the pitch sequence should not cause the pitcher not being able to throw. Not all but a ton of players do this so you can't start your wind up and online with some sort of lag already no matter how small if your playing on analog this can throw off your release point timing which causes [censored] or worse center cut pitches which is what they want. Like I said if they want to make a animation after the pitch of the guy taking a breath while you overlook the sequence for a second fine before stepping back in the box I'm all for that but once in the box I should be able to pitch.

    Countering quick pitching is one thing. Intentionally holding R2 for as long as possible, even after the pitcher steps off once, is an exploit to mess with your opponent’s pitching. It’s a pretty cheap tactic which unfortunately has no counter

    Mercy rule them 😆

    You guys that are holding R2 the entire time your opponent is trying to pitch are really a special kind of bad person.

    Maybe learn how to win a game without cheating? You might find it actually feels good.

    They put an indicator in the game this year during the person is accessing either R2, R3, etc... So there's a stop sign showing you you can't pitch. It's not cheese anymore.

    If I tell the cops I’m gonna rob a bank, that makes it legal.

    It's more like if someone hits the button for the cross walk and the traffic light turns red for them to cross, don't get upset you can't floor the gas pedal.

    But I get it now guys are saying while the are using pinpoint they claim it messes up their motion sure to lag although you aren't supposed to be able to hit R2 once the motion starts so I don't know.

    I love how people complain about quick pitching as if they're playing real baseball and need 25 seconds in between pitches to readjust their gloves, socks, tap the bat 3 times, hold the hand up and dig in a bit more and then finally say they're ready to hit....it's a video game. You're hitting a button or flicking an analog stick to swing. You don't need a huge reset between pitches and most player use the same pitch patterns for every hitter so it's not like you can't figure out what pitch is coming.

    The R2 thing only screws up people's pinpoint gesture and it isn't even about quick pitching. I've had guys where I wait to figure out what pitch I want to throw and then as soon as I start the gesture somehow they hit R2 and that little timer comes up and now I automatically cannot get the gesture timing right because it stopped mid gesture.

    So go ahead and claim its to stop "quick pitching" but we all know its not. Maybe if you need an hour between pitches to figure out you're going to swing at a slider 3 feet out the zone then maybe you should go play something else.

    R2 is a garbage feature that has nothing to do with playing a game of baseball, and it should be gone. Follow the rulebook as much as possible. Let the batter request time just like an MLB batter would.

    isn't that disabled for everyone online? I don't think that's an option currently. Correct me if I'm wrong. I played 500 games online during 20 but only 8 so far this year. R2 doesn't really have anything to do with controlling what would be a balk normally. A balk is a balk. R2 just freezes the pitcher. Very odd game mechanic.

    The penalty for pitching before the pitcher is set, is a balk. Any runner on base advances a base, if no runner is on, the batter gets a ball called.

    did we really spend 14 pages talking about this?????? wow

    its pretty simple:
    a. its a feature in the game its not cheating;
    b. dont be a [censored] and hold R2 down every single pitch;
    c. dont get upset when someone does it occasionally to check things like stamina/pitch confidence/etc or stop u from quick pitching.

    Special kind of stupids are the ones who use guess pitch cause your eyes are trash or you got lil fat fingers. Especially when you start using it only after like the 3rd inn cause you can't hit nothing but keep guessing cause I make it worse for you and I make the game last longer which 90 percent of them just end up quitting. Happens when you give everyone a trophy today and mommy says your a winner but really your a lover

    It’s not cheating but it’s annoying. make an adjustment. You can always step off the mound or slide stepping every time you’re in the stretch. Welcome to the show
