Look, [censored] happens, I totally get that.
What I have not been ok with is their lack of communication. People are losing a MASSIVE amount of xp, stubs, cards apparently, and TA vouchers due to this and they still have yet to address that core issue.
I’ve said it before, if they care out and told everyone they would drop some TA vouchers and xp for everyone that would go a long way to smoothing this over.
-
Honestly, if they’d just communicate better about the issues along the way, things wouldn’t fester to the degree they do. The company policy against community discussion of problems is just not acceptable at this point. I’ve run my own business (healthcare) for 30 years. If I communicated this poorly, I wouldn’t have employees or patients. Not to mention I’d have malpractice lawsuits out the ying yang.

Yep. See my post before yours in this thread. I’ve lost hours of progress in the game due to the server issues, submitted tickets, with ZERO response.

I think we all agree there are people who need to lose their jobs at SDS.
At this point, if I was the owner, heads would roll!
Then again I'd also test the [censored] out of my OWN product, stress test and make sure this wouldn't happen EVERY YEAR in the first place.
Think the biggest issues are the people in charge NEVER use their own products.
This gets old!Sorry to burst your bubble. I don't agree.

This community is kind of a joke. Entitled and selfish. I don't blame them

Game companies need to be held accountable for the [censored] they put out.
Look at it a different way..
You buy a car and get it home. It sometimes starts and half the time it does it stops running down the street. You can listen to the radio and the windows go up and down so when you call the car company they tell you no refunds because you drove it home and it is functional and they might fix the rest when and if the mechanics get trained (patched). That company would be in so much trouble. We need legislation or a class action law suit to stop this stuff. Maybe some day...

I agree with most of what you have said but it’s not entitled to expect a product you have purchased to work as intended.

Well when their job is literally to make a playable video game and they utterly failed on multiple levels, I think losing their job is warranted.

This gets old!Sadly, we don't all agree. The fact that there are people that still do not want to hold these people accountable for a product sold, released, and still broken on pretty much every level 2 weeks later, is why they keep doing it. Companies like this know that there will be no repercussions because at the end of the day, these fans will continue to be happy with them and support them. I personally think that the entire QA team and whoever is the head of development need to be fired. They have utterly failed to do their job.

I love this game! Gameplay is best it's ever been in history of franchise!

Does anyone really think this is what this company wants? That this company doesn't care that things are not working? That a huge part of the fan base is irate over what's going on? If you think that they are ok with this, give yourself a good shake because you are flat out wrong.
I'm as mad as most about not being able to play but the fact that this is the first time the game is on Xbox and has a real potential of hurting future sales for a console that doesn't have baseball and hasn't for a while is going to make them very upset. Somehow I don't see them sitting around laughing because they have our money and saying screw it, why bother fixing it.
Is there a real question as to why the SDS team doesn't post in here? Could it be from the absolute childish bashing thwy receive every single time they make a post. Honestly, anyone complaining that they don't communicate well enough has only themselves to blame for the fact that they don't. They post 1 thing and people flame and act like spoiled children towards them so why the hell would they post on anything other than Twitter?
As for the stupidity of the idea of a class action lawsuit... I think that gets answered almost every time that gets brought up. Just more idiotic childish nonsense that, im sure makes the devs look and say why bother, they don't listen to us anyways so it will be fixed when it's fixed.
When this game is working well, I'll be happy. I'm still grinding the 1st inning, have 2 of the 6 affinities done, done the conquests, flipping cards and making stubs. I do it when I can and in a little bit, I'll be doing it as much as I can. The gameplay this year is outstanding and when it's working, could be one if the best games they've made.

And you are certain the QA team are the ones responsible?
Not an unrealistic deadline set by higher powers; not insufficient server power; not a third party licensor who pressed them with ‘release Multiplatform by day x or our contract will be on the line, or a subscription deal that may or may not have been made at the 11th hour when infrastructure was not sufficient to support it?
Are you certain the QA team didn’t foresee this happening, try to prevent it by suggesting a further delay to release to prepare, but were ignored?
If you can come back with an absolute unequivocal ‘inside information’ guarantee that it’s the QA team and a single ‘head of development’ that are responsible for this release then I’m sure many of us reasonable forum participants will support your (what appears to be merely) supposition.
If you can’t, then let the company sort out who’s at fault itself and let them deal with it. Let’s not pretend any of us know what’s going on over there.

This gets old!Yeah right. I worked in telecoms for close to 20 years; when your boss or company sells a bad/cheap product, there’s not much you can do. Maybe the team knew it was coming but the higher ups didn’t listen. Maybe they wanted to push the release to later but knew how whiny their customer base is and plowed through hoping for the best. I’d be p.o.’d if I was an IT guy having to work nights and OT because of a video game for entitled children; this ain’t life and death. I remember having to leave family diners and such on the weekends because an idiot thought having a single phone defective at the back of a store warranted an emergency call instead of waiting for Monday morning.

They have shown in the past to only care about the features broken in the game that produce additional revenue like DD and put rtts on the back burner. In addition, Sony makes so much money that they do not care about losing customers. I have seen many who have returned a purchased item or game from the store or in a game and then have been banned from making additional purchases. Not because they did something wrong but because Sony does not want to deal with it and would rather lose there business then have to take care of it.

Any company that produces a product has a responsibility to fulfill the promises they have made—that products work and are safe and live up to the brand reputation. Most game companies fail at this. I am sorry your standards and expectations are so low that anyone who has standards is childish to you, maybe look in a mirror. I'm a old fart and have been playing computer games since my vic 20 and c64 and not until modern times did you need a dozen patches or so to get a game functioning as promised. SDS talks smack about it's community, I talk smack about the [censored] poor programmers working for them and lousy money grubbing management. They do not care about the customer base just the money in the wallet.

Reality is reality, I’m not victim of corporate greed bro, I don’t even buy the game until it’s patched up, and I don’t spend a dime on stubs…. Also the new normal is here to stay, it’s reality, they try new things, bugs happen, you play the game, report bugs, they patch it up, it’s not changing anytime soon… If you’re not happy with it don’t buy the game, or just wait until it’s on sale later…
