Why directional is trash for online...

The same people that want to remove directional hitting are the same ones that use strike zone cameras. That’s what really needs to be removed. Having a camera view where you basically see nothing but the strike zone is lame. Yes, I know all the “top players” use it. It takes away from pitching deception because if you can’t see it then it must be a ball. These posts happen every year and I’ll tell you what, you want to get rid of directional hitting? Ok, I’ll compromise, no strike zone or zoom cameras allowed then.

I use fish eye number 2. Have you tried that one, it looks a little better to me.
I switch between both and catcher depending on time of day

It is a fact and thus why someone (* other than me) started this thread.The 2 hitting options of discussion are no way a comparison in any shape or form thus they need to be in two seperated categories or at least with a toggle option to isolate the different skill sets so the game is more enjoyable for the players who desire such.

What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.
- Some teams use small ball to win (Baseball)
- Some teams want to hit gappers and HRs (Baseball)
- Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
- Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
- Live and die by the three (basketball)
- Get inside for the easy score/foul (basketball)
- Using directional hitting (The Show)
- Using Zone Hitting (The Show)
I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. So I find it pretty rich to have a gamer come on a baseball video game forum and tell people how they should play and how one way of playing shouldn't be allowed in competition. When fact is that their preferred way of hitting (zone hitting) doesn't accurately simulate hitting a baseball either.
So quit your complaining. When the servers are back-up, login, and do what you do: Stair down Rizzo's crotch from your Strike Zone Camera and act like you're amazing because you're moving a curser around a square.

They have said many time it's based off user input. Alot of people use directional b/c it is closer to realistic so they claim. Wait, so .. sorry I'm brand new to the game, but for like DD if you're playing against another player, you don't have set styles of hitting or pitching that you have to play with? Not even in ranked? So basically you can pick whatever style you want and play against someone playing whatever style they want? Like, I usually play with the slider bar (hit x twice) pitching because the move the right stick in patterns version is impossible for my brain to use for whatever reason. And I do the right stick hitting just cause it makes sense to me, but I could play against someone doing an easier or harder method and get crushed?

Lol, no I’m not new. Plenty of cameras before strike zone that didn’t completely eliminate seeing the batter my guy. The baseball games I grew up playing had default cameras where you could see the batter, not just the strike zone and the batters junk.

Yes, you can use whatever method of hitting and pitching that you prefer only thing the same is hitting and pitching difficulty

I do; you can still foul/hit with the outer PCI. Can’t stand directional, but I don’t mind people using it

You do still know you have to be accurate in your swing and direction of the bat to be successful right? You can still swing and miss at a ball down the plate if you are early or late and you can still miss a ball if your directional swing is up and in but the ball is down and away. I haven't said once , to abolish that skilless attribute non player induced style of tee ball.
All I've Insinuated is to seperated the 2 styles in seperated categories so those who desire to face opponents based on user skills rather than playing a computer where user input is a minimum to absolutely null.
Let the tee ball boys play all they want BUT against each other and let the user input hitters play like minded and playing opponents.It's ridiculous to even imply that the 2 styles represent a comparable skill set.
IE: some kid I play strikes out 15-20 times and then my pitcher misses a pitch and boom a home run that puts him tied or up ?? Come on , how many times does this go on and is it a true fair match that ends up in extra innings with one player who has 3 times more foul balls and base runners compared to the others amount of strikeouts.

OR just that dime a dozen hand holding toddler tee ball in a game vs a " player " where input and skill induced behaviors represent the action simulated on the field.Hmmm
We DO need an on/off toggle to get those people in a category by their selves just as guess pitch is in online rated.

What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.

- Some teams want to hit gappers and HRs (Baseball)
- Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
- Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
- Live and die by the three (basketball)
- Get inside for the easy score/foul (basketball)
- Using directional hitting (The Show)

I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. So I find it pretty rich to have a gamer come on a baseball video game forum and tell people how they should play and how one way of playing shouldn't be allowed in competition. When fact is that their preferred way of hitting (zone hitting) doesn't accurately simulate hitting a baseball either.
So quit your complaining. When the servers are back-up, login, and do what you do: Stair down Rizzo's crotch from your Strike Zone Camera and act like you're amazing because you're moving a curser around a square.
FYI - Before you start laying claim that I use directional, I am a zone hitter. I find the arrogance of PCI users hilarious. Get over yourselves.

Its be like an online shooter and using aimbot and auto aim.

They have said many time it's based off user input. Alot of people use directional b/c it is closer to realistic so they claim. I'm beginning to think it is just a rant about losing to someone "you" thought was inferior.
