There needs to be isolation toggles just like there are for "guess pitch", difficulty and the other choices prior to an online game search.
{I've said this for years and years now btw}I play authentic ball as in a chess match, but get matched up with a puppy who plays Chinese checkers and even has extra marbles !!
2 different games and has no business at the same table ( on the same screen ) together.
They have no foul balls and practically no base runners even....just skilless and ridiculous square button mashing home run derby's.The " fools gold " of it all is they claim to be good, sit in the leaderboards, and some how THINK they are actually playing the game.
Not hardly.
Starting an approximate timing window and
then letting attributes and algorithms do all the work....
That's not " playing " by definition of the word in the slightest.
It's nothing more than
" Watching "
(and some hoping)Playing a large number of those top leaderboard puppies that are there year after year is mostly laughable.
It's skilless manipulation based on attributes and algorithms not player skill in the slightest.The mixing of the
" authentic players " with the toddler Tee ball boys in online play IS this games biggest short coming and farce.bruh the top players use zone, no one at top of the leaderboards is rocking directional.
Using PCI gives you a huge advantage over directional. Those should be the easy wins for anyone using the PCI.

The guys (& gals) who long pause and swap to tee ball hitting simply in essence because the opponent pitches good and they can't hit...OR when being behind they then get a man on base....you guessed it they pause and go to toddler tee ball and suddenly hit the game winning lick after striking out 15 times prior.
It's ridiculous to say the least and there also needs to be " a settings lock" to prevent these settings manipulative changes ,* except for " camera views".
I use mound visits every single time on defense and on offense " quick menu " at the plate ONLY as a way not for just for authenticity But foremost to show respect to the other player that I Am NOT one of the dime a dozen multitudes of "them" who will do anything to win games against faceless people who to top it off will give you NO prize !!

I agree! This is what i figured happened as well. I don't think i have faced a good pitcher in last 6 years. 8 out of 10 are out of zone, if you don't want to pitch in zone with right pitch to force groundball or pop fly then i say oh well take your lumps an move on.

What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.

- Some teams want to hit gappers and HRs (Baseball)
- Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
- Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
- Live and die by the three (basketball)
- Get inside for the easy score/foul (basketball)
- Using directional hitting (The Show)
- Using Zone Hitting (The Show)
I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. So I find it pretty rich to have a gamer come on a baseball video game forum and tell people how they should play and how one way of playing shouldn't be allowed in competition. When fact is that their preferred way of hitting (zone hitting) doesn't accurately simulate hitting a baseball either.
So quit your complaining. When the servers are back-up, login, and do what you do: Stair down Rizzo's crotch from your Strike Zone Camera and act like you're amazing because you're moving a curser around a square.
FYI - Before you start laying claim that I use directional, I am a zone hitter. I find the arrogance of PCI users hilarious. Get over yourselves.

Obviously you dont use zone. The pci can only go half way on all edges of zone. The inner pci.

In madden itd be like lettung the cpu throw for you....run for you etc. All you do is snap.

Having a camera view where you basically see nothing but the strike zone is lame. Yes, I know all the “top players” use it. Wait, so .. sorry I'm brand new to the game, but for like DD if you're playing against another player, you don't have set styles of hitting or pitching that you have to play with? Not even in ranked? So basically you can pick whatever style you want and play against someone playing whatever style they want? Like, I usually play with the slider bar (hit x twice) pitching because the move the right stick in patterns version is impossible for my brain to use for whatever reason. And I do the right stick hitting just cause it makes sense to me, but I could play against someone doing an easier or harder method and get crushed?
