For me it was Trout. In the past, while his card was still good, he always under-performed for me. His card this year, for whatever reason, lived up to his stats and then some. Definitely my best player.
My biggest disappointment was easily Mantle. With 700 or 800 abs, he was a good 50 below my best with ba, and at least 5 or 6 below with hr/ab. Man, I was so pumped to get him, and now he's not even on my team.

Me too. I couldn't hit anything with him.
Favorites... or at least the ones I did the best with... I'll pick 3.
Prime Roberts - a sentimental favorite since he was the first batter I prestiged. Always hit well with him.
Finest Freeman - I hit will vs. lefties with him as well.
Awards Griffey - I got him and didn't use him until late in the cycle. But I really liked him.EDIT: looking back at my stats, Cobb was easily my best card. By far.

I can't hit with anyone, but especially couldn't hit with Mantle. Awards Yelich is now slumping down to my normal low BA with most cards, but the first couple of weeks with him, I hit better than I typically do. Awards Griffey was another nice card for me. Also hit .500 with RISP with Paul Molitor (my favourite player from olden days) but honestly didn't use the card much.

Easily Mike Trout. Lou Gehrig and Chipper Jones close second. Ty Cobb is worth an honorable mention.
-
My top 5 would be
POTM Aldaberto Mondesi
Mantle
Trout
Foxx
Seager -
That Finest guy that Boston traded to LA dudes pretty amazing
-
POTM Mondesi for sure.
-
Arenado and Trout for me.
-
nice thread
Trout, Honus, and Story have been a dream for me
And Larry Walker in RF for most of the game cycle - what a stud
-
Vidal Brujan I cant remember what series he was in. The card was a 95 overall I believe. I had over 500 at bats with him
-
Skipping the obvious one of trout I’d say Hornsby. I thought his card in 19 was solid but didn’t love it. He was amazing for me in 20. Batted over 440 with a ton of hrs. They boosted his power a bit and that seemed to be the difference for me. I was comfortable playing him at third over all the other choices and batting him fourth.
-
Lou Gehrig is a extra base machine. I also loved yelich, 99 Lux, mantle, but I think my favorite righty swing this year belongs to the new NL central killer himself. 99 castellanos
-
Live rewards Giambi, HRD Cano, Live series Nelly Cruz, awards Ripken, and Sig Mo, I have a .20 ERA with him. I have him prestiged hands down still my favorite reliever to put in because I know I have the lead in the 9th.
Edit 0.75 with his prestige card a 6.67 with his other one because of the end grind for innings i gave up so many runs lol

Larry walker was a top 5 card on the game and no one can convince me otherwise. By far my best hitter.

i agree bud - in particular he won me a couple games throwing from RF to home plate - right on
-
MVP Trout
Bregman (the 99 from event reward)
Soto
*I’m a decent at best hitter and that Bregman card just absolutely beat the s**t outta the ball -
Babe Ruth was my best, mantle was my worst. Really disappointing to grind out the collections and not be able to hit with mantle and sheff.
-
Sleeper best for me: FotF George Brett/Prestige Brett. Card was a line drive into the gap machine.
Disappointment was Pudge, although I should've expected it. He never seems to be great.
