Change my mind about 21

21 played way smoother by a lot. Noticeably more movement on pitches that looks more realistic and in a way even easier to track because of the frames seeming so fluid.
-
Check swings are nerfed. And it’s a huge gameplay improvement.
-
The community moves over so the online in 20 will die out.

I agree those are strong selling points. But I should've probably stated that IF I do buy 21; I'm going to be an offline player for at least the first half of the game's lifespan.
With all the toxicity in online play now; I want to wait to make sure adding other players (nothing against the Xbox community) is going to up the toxicity.
And IF I do play H2H; it will probably only be Events.
One other aspect of me wanting to wait is how are the servers going to handle the extra traffic?
Will it be smooth sailing? Will they crash alot? Will it be like back when, I think it was 18, the game was unplayable online for the first few months.
I'd rather lose out on some playing time BEFORE I drop $100 on the game; then to drop the $100 and not b able to play it.
At least if I wait until it's in sale; I won't lose out in alot if money.
Also, while it may have played well in the tech test; can SDS guarantee that they won't eventually mess it up with useless patches,?

-
Can you afford to purchase it?
-
If you are on the fence, don't buy it. Stay away until the patches are done and the game plays like it will all year. Usually a month in I would think.
Lol, talk me into buying a game, if you don't want it, don't buy it.
-
If you did ALL OF THAT since Nov, you’ll run out of content soon enough. TA is truly a grind and you have a lot more done than I do.

Yes. I can afford to purchase it. Just wondering if it's worth purchasing for $100; when I can get it 5 months later for $20 or less and not miss a heat with what I need to complete.

I will say this. I hate TS20 ever since I played the tech test. The show 21 is better in every aspect.

I finally deleted it last week. I just couldn't do it anymore and that was after coming back for a month after a 6 month break lol
After playing the tech test and actually enjoying myself I just couldn't play TS20 any longer.

Hopefully all them patches they do to it don't change that mindset. Wishful thinking.

What have been the differences that make you say that about TS 20?

I’ve deleted it 4 times since and keep downloading it when I’m bored but I def do not enjoy it anymore.
The tech test was so much fun, I felt like I had complete control over my failure and success

I still play a bit of madden but PGA has been my primary for the last little while. I am not coming back to TS20.
I haven't even preordered 21 yet because of the garbage they put us through last year with the early patch to hitting.

So, as if me typing this, I am I. The fence about buying 21.
I started playing this game back in Nov and in the 4 mos I've played I've completed the LS Collection and the Trout Collection.
I'm also at 1100 stars on the 11th Inning Program.
I still have most if the Player Programs to finish (only completed the Postseason Seater, Jackie Evolution, the Player's League, and both 1st Inning Player Programs (Wood and Granderson).
I also still have ALL the Conquest Maps to finish except for a few TA ones, the Starter Map, Jackie, and Gibson Maps.
I'm at 25 pts of All 30 TAs, except for Tampa, Meta, Nats, Brewers, Cubs, Twins, KC, LA, and SD ones which are past the Finest players.
I also haven't touched ANY of the Showdowns.
I also having hit 300 Stars on AMY of the first 10 Inning Programs.
Therefore I think I have enough left to do in 20 to warrant waiting until 21 goes in sale. Heck, I may even wait to see if it goes on sale for $10 before I but it.
So what can you all say to me, if anything at all, to possibly change my mind into buying 21 earlier?
I would say, if you’re on the fence and did all that in 20, waiting a month or so on 21 is probably a good idea.
The game always plays way better at launch and one thing that is uber clear to me is that the designers still think about the game the same way they have in the past.

I would say watch all presentation videos up until launch. You could still purchase it and switch between the 2 as far as gameplay goes.
If you buy digital deluxe you will get the daily double login bonus. So even if you continue to play 20 for 6 months and you just log into 21 for 6 mos that is alot of cards to go toward collections and will save you stubs in the long run.
If you dont have ps5 and are planning on getting one later in the year that itself will be a hefty purchase, and if you wait there is no guarantee game will go on sale especially since Sony did say all ps5 games will be $70 so the only version that might go on sale would be last gen versions.
I would say weigh pro's/cons and see which outweighs and make a choice.

Well played SDS. Well played.
Just watched the Gameplay trailer and if Clemente is definitely going to be in the game; YOU just changed my mind about pre-ordering.
Well played.
-
You should buy it because you want to. You wouldnt have started this thread if you didnt want to be talked into it. If money is not a factor. The question is why not?
-
Unless you want to play DD as content drops, which doesn't sound like your plan, I would just wait.

You'll end up buying it because you want to....not because someone had to convince you.
