Why does hitting feel so different on each system? When I got my ps5 back in November I became a much worse hitter. My season batting average was consistently like a 250-260’s. Now that I’ve switched back to the ps4 when playing the show I’m hitting like .315 on the season. My career BA has also jumped like 6 points. Is there some setting I need to adjust or something. My I game setting are the same for both platforms and I play on a monitor? Yet I’m constantly late on fastballs on ps5 I even set the ps5 to performance mode but I’m still late. What am I missing? It’s extremely frustrating

I saw no difference in changing systems. Pitching seemed harder to locate for some reason, but that's probably user error.

Familiarity with the older controller versus the Dualsense?

It’s all in your head. The only difference is the controller.

Are you sure it's not an issue with TV/monitor lag with HDR? Check to make sure your TV is set to Game mode and that it supports it in HDR. I had the same problem until I discovered my projector didn't have a Game mode for HDR content.

I find the game runs much smoother on PS5 than old PS4. Make sure you have performance settings on.

I had this problem last week until I changed the graphics setting to faster. That turned it from hitting worse than PS4 to better than instantly.

I’m having the same issue. Got my PS5 last week and am slumping significantly since. I think the 60 FPS is messing with my eyes and reaction. The ball is coming in so smoothly but I just can’t touch it.

I had the exact same problem-noticed it in big way playing in custom leagues on legend bs PS4 users...I really think it has to do with cross platform play-I swapped back to PS4 and timing issues went away and my hitting went back to my norm?
