Welcome!
Some unspoken rules of the game for ya.- no bunt dancing
- no dashboarding
- try to go easy on the pause feature
- Don't throw from left/center field to first base.
- If you get down a couple runs, don't quit. You'll never improve your game.
- don't expect a friendly quit when your down several runs in the middle of the game.
I hope most of you are mature players looking to play straight up and not some cheese fest. We'll see.
Theses arenβt rules, you can do all of these things if you want. Thatβs the beauty of gaming!
Oh they are the unspoken rules. But like Tatis granny on 3-0 count, they will still e broken. I o my dashboard so Iβm not a complete rule breaker lolol. And bunt Dancers are annoying but they nOrmally quit after you score on them....and he forgot holding r2, watching wallscrapers and keep taking a lead even tho you step off or throw over 50 times in a row ( just make pickoffs better on extended leads and that may stop tho lol)

looks like it is recognizing my xbox account now. im fine with that, i'll probably get it on xbox one to start with. hope rewards from ps4 to xbox one carry over from last year.

I was thinking that maybe if I try XBOX, I won't drop my PCI with that controller.
Crazy thought, but I've never solved the PCI drop mystery on PS4.yes, this is me too! that's why i am going to get xbox one version because i really want to play the game w/ the xbox controller.
for some reason, i've gone thru like 3 DS4's w/ the show games. The ds4 X button keeps getting stuck and I have to always buy a replacement.
The Xbox controller buttons are harder than the soft ps4 buttons. Also I do prefer the xbox one controller over ps4.

Stoked to play with you all this year!
Any idea where the PS logo next to your name is coming from? I've seen a few people on here with them and assume it's due to a change they made to how accounts work.
I'm assuming there won't be seperate forums and whichever platform you play on will include that icon after your ID.
Not sure how it will work if you play on both platforms. Maybe you can only sign into the forum via one ID.
That is correct when logging in it now gives an option to sign in via XBox Live account. It also seems like you are correct with not being separate forums that wouldn't make much sense as they would then have an additional thing to monitor

So far from my many years of gaming I've noticed more mature players on within the XBox community than in the PS community. I've gotten more vile messages from PS players than I have on Xbox and I've been playing Xbox way longer than PS. I also have about 5 good friends on XBox that I have their phone numbers and talk to them daily even playing COD and BF on PS I never met any guys like that on PS but I have on XBox. I forsee the Xbox community being a little more mature than the PS community they won't be perfect by any means and there are the bad apples in every community. Some will bunt dance, some will dashboard, some will be toxic but I feel that the Xbox community will play games all the way through especially because most will find out that the momentum can change at any moment. I've had games down by 8 in the 7th and finally found my groove and made a come back still ended up losing but I took it to extras because both of us buckled down and start pitching better I lost because I kept my out of stamina pitcher in and he hung a breaking ball it was a good game

I'm curious about how many people, like myself, are considering the change of platform?

Crazy thought, but I've never solved the PCI drop mystery on PS4.This is exactly why I'm going to Xbox, been playing on ps for years. Not anymore.

I've been loyal to Playstation since the 90s, it would take a lot.
I'll take the graphics & frame rate hit and play on the PS4 til PS5s available in my area.

I am. With that said, I have historically purchased 2-3 games for PS systems. I am more of a native Xbox user.

Bunt dancing is what people do to try to throw off the pitcher and its a minor annoyance to some people. Most that do it are awful at the game and quit pretty quick. Its just setting for a bunt and then pulling it back quick and repeating.
Dashboards is quitting the game when a home run is about to count causing that to not count by closing the game.
Number 4, not really sure what this one is other than throwing the ball from left field to first.

Will we get online franchise back?????? I hope so
Well TS17 servers are shutting down so Custom Leagues had better have some quality improvements else there will be a few hundred raging players.
When?

#4 is basically exploiting something in the game that happens on a very rare occasion when the batter is not fast enough to get to 1st (slow animation chosen perhaps) or the animation has him routinely round 1st and is too slow to get back to the bag. Completely out of control of the user.
Hereβs an ever rarer occurrence - the CPU making the mistake:
MLB The Show lazy CPU batter tagged out after overrunning first
https://youtu.be/dOFADEU65o0Edit: I just re-read the original post. It said left field not right field. Now I donβt know. Did I just make a rule #7?

Thanks for the sauce. If anything, does that confirm Online Franchise to return to 21? This is an interesting development imo.

What it does confirm is that Sony is either forsaking that niche market (the most dedicated in my opinion) or making some promising improvements to Leagues to turn it into a suitable replacement. I suspect option #2. It still wonβt yet be a duplicate of what once was however itβs on its way to being a worthy successor.
My reasoning is if the online franchise market wasnβt important to them why would they keep 17 servers active past 2018? They used to shut down servers in the following year.
