^ This is my suggestion.
As far as replays go, I watch every Trevor Story bomb, and any HR that looks like an absolute massive dong. Beyond that its only if my opponent is being annoying.
I don’t feel like watching homers is taunting. I think it’s fun, and I don’t mind my opponents doing it. Sometimes I like watching theirs too..
I don't mind it either.

Why do some players insist on trash talking and showboating by replaying their homeruns. I let my 7 y/o play ranked season on my account. He lost a couple of games and thats fine... its kind of a good life lesson to lose once in a while. He was just happy to be playing. The other guy started trash talking him, telling him he's trash, give up on life, etc. He's just a little kid and frankly sports games are pretty family friendly. Maybe I'm being a little over protective but there is such a thing as a.sore winner
I suggest if you are going to let your kids play online you turn off messages. You can do that.
That’s what I do if I let my kids play.
Today is the first time it happened, I've turned them off

Messages off since 2017.
Best move ever.

Have any of you played real sports?...trash talking is a big part of the game

I actually enjoy some idiot chirping after games in any game. I can usually string them along for a while and get a great laugh out of it and usually make them so mad they stop and block me. If my kids go on my account tho, I just turn off messages so they don't have to deal with people like that.
I dont mind trash talking at all but people go overboard because its online and nothing will be done other than a complaint being filed. I remember being in a tournament in hockey and a guy on the other team started chirping and acting stupid when they got up and it backfired badly. We blew them out and he had to answer for it as a fight broke out later in the game and he happened to be standing near the wrong guy and got tuned up. Pretty quiet the rest of the tournament.

Have you? Because if you have, then you know that this game is nothing like real life trash-talking where you have to look your competition in the face rather than bunt dancing behind a console.
-
I get hate messages all the time because I watch HR's or take "too long" between pitches.
-
I learned a long time ago to set my messages to friends only and never accept friend requests while playing.

I didn’t think you took that long between pitches. People can always use the d pad to call time if the pitcher takes too long...
I’m glad my messages are off.

The beauty of sports is not only the competition but the different personalities that compete. If everyone was polite and respectful, competition would be boring. That is why we live in a world full of tight pants wearing children who prefer to tik tok dance instead of gritty, tough kids finding their way is because parents have become so freakin sensitive and over protective of their child

Trash talking and bunt dancing are two different things...

In competition you can still be respectful. That's why it's called sportsmanship

What’s wrong with tight pants and tik tok dances?
