I don't think the wording here makes for a good poll, it's always some magical opponent that gets the benefit of this stuff apparently
-
yawn....

I don't think you're just a half, sir...

Are you implying that he is in fact a buttttt, whole?

At this state of the game we know how it plays and what it is. Nothing should be a surprise anymore.
That being said I have expressed in the past that there are times I believe the game puts us in situations we must work out of. There is absolutely some DDA but it’s not impossible to wiggle out of and that’s when our skill takes into account and shows the difference between how good we are and how good we think we are.
Honestly I would say 4 out of 5 times these situations occur I beat myself. I get frustrated, I say “here we go again”, and I let it get the best of me. Not staying calm and doing bone head things like swinging at bad pitches is my fault. My current state of mind is making me do these stupid things.
Have I lined out a perfect ball with a 100 plus power hitter to end and lose a game? Sure have but I’ve struck out or had terrible pci placement to end a game much more. Ever notice if you are goofing off and do a theme team or all gold team you play well? I do, it’s because I don’t care. I’m relaxed and having fun. We beat ourselves more than coding beats us

A full [censored] would just be a [censored], or a cigarette.
So the wording is not objective enough? I’m just curious to know how many people see this kind of thing in the game.

Yeah, I agree. I’m just interested to know if this is accepted throughout the community as a thing, and to what extent.

I don't think it is no. Alot of people will easily say yes that their opponents get the breaks, but never acknowledge that sometimes they get the luck. A better way to phrase it is by addressing both ends, "do you think both you and your opponent get etc etc" t
That way people aren't just acknowledging what their opponents get, but what everyone including themselves get. -

For example, one minute I can’t throw a strike, but as soon as I give up a few runs, I usually can find the zone no problem and get a couple more innings out of my starter.
-
Maybe another way of asking this question would be, how many of you have played in online games that were not close?
I’ve certainly been beaten once or twice by a really good player in somewhat of a blowout, maybe 6-1 or 7-2, but the bulk of my wins and losses seem to have margins of a run or two.
-
I don’t buy into that stuff, I just think the game’s way too random and that causes people to believe in “comeback logic” and things like this when stuff doesn’t go their way
-
It’s all speculation because no game company would openly admit to doing this. It’s like them saying hey I know you want a fair game but that guy you’re beating? Yeah... he’s losing and we want him to be a part of it too lol so I wouldn’t get your hopes up that this game is rigged because we have no idea and never will.
I believe it’s not. -

I can’t figure out how to post a poll question on here so I’ll just ask:
Who thinks this game currently has some coding to keep your opponent in the game by shutting down your offence after taking a three run (or greater) lead?
Who thinks there is coding to ensure your opponent will bring the tying run to the plate?
Show of hands.
I believe this. A guy who strikes out 14+ in the game and is within 2-3 runs makes you question things...
They definitely nerfed PS Seager too. I don't know how many P/P flyballs not even making it to the warning track in the last couple of weeks.
-
I do wish that we could do polls on here. I have been asking for a bit. lol

Ok that’s a valid opinion.
You’re a pretty good hitter though Mitch. How often do you win blowout games?

Often when I’m actually hitting well. I’m inconsistent as hell so I never know if I’m gonna hit like rebel or like I’ve never played the game before

Well that is encouraging!
-
It’s definitely odd sometimes, I’ll just say that...Like yesterday I played a guy that had a very solid record like 160-50 & I just knocked the cover off the ball. Everything was either in a gap or over the fence & I destroyed this guy....Then today I got matched up with a sub .500 player & got 1 hit all game. It was warning track shot after warning track shot....And that’s how this game has been since the infamous week 2 patch. Just my experience & opinion.
-
It’s real for sure. Many MANY times I know what’s going to happen before it happens. They can’t all be coincidence.
-
I know what you’re saying, but it still baffles me. Like tonight I had this idea pop into my head that prestige Minnie Minoso was going to hit a two run bomb. Sure enough, a walk and a hung curveball and there it was.
I like how Mitch put it. I mean it just seems like the breaks are somewhat random. You can put good swings on pitches over and over and still not be able to predict the outcome.
Tonight I had three at bats with Mookie which culminated in an up and in fastball. In all three instances, I was looking for the pitch, sitting on it. All three times I got the pci on the pitch. Two with good timing, one perfect, and yet the best I got was a warning track fly out.
