I still feel it is worth pointing out that 55% win percentage is nothing to make fun of someone for. The NY Yankees had a 55% win percentage this year. I think the best in MLB history is .70 something with the 2001 Mariners and a few other teams.
The kind of win percentages that the top players have in this game are not realistic at all, and well, who cares! I would expect that in a video game.

I don’t consider a winning percentage in the .500s good ️

I think the reason for this is mlbts is 1v1. One player controlling his team vs the other player. Irl, it’s a team sport, so lesser teams can beat better teams much more often especially if their guys get hot and the better team is cold.
Also, mlb teams are constantly playing the best competition, themselves. Always playing the best in the world. In mlbts, many of these top players dodge comp via FQ, which makes their records look much better. If top players were constantly playing each other, the records would be less ridiculous

I didn’t say anything about the OFs arm. I’m talking about your inability to make a perfect throw. It takes a whoooooooole lot less skill than hitting. I love seeing an opponent make an error. I can beat them almost every time, and I’m terrible.
Did you miss the part where I said I use buttons? It has nothing to do with ability. You press a button and the game does math to decide whether the throw is good or not. Ability does not enter into it.
Also, the thread is about bunting with a power hitter, not how good you are at defense.
If you use buttons, then you lack skill. Plain and simple.
The thread is about you whining about getting beat because someone chose to score off of you on a bunt after your lack of skill put a runner on third. It’s BR. You get that runner in.
Play with accuracy and you won’t have the problem. If I see someone make an error, I assume they suck.

Nice flex try.
You’re the only one stuck on the “test the defence’s arm” point.
That is not what the thread was about, but merry Christmas anyway!
I learned analog pitching this year. That was enough. Next year I’ll take on button accuracy.

Was it worth it for you to learn analog? I’ve been using meter since 06. Have been wanting to learn analog but the few times I’ve tried, I’ve gotten crushed, and went back to what worked for me. It’s apparently the way to go though. As far as button accuracy goes, to me the few extra errors I get a year from using button meter is a lot less than all the extra errors I would get from learning button accuracy early on. I could be wrong, but it doesn’t seem like that drastic of a change.
-
At first, it was a struggle for sure, but I realized I was not going to improve without committing to it. The thing I find about analog is that, despite the random results we’ve all sometimes experienced, I can still throw the occasional dot. With pulse, I find the result at best will be in the vicinity of where I’m aiming.
I think it was worth the effort to learn, but I do sometimes go back to pulse once and a while when I’m facing a good hitter, because it changes the pattern of how I miss.

The other part of this comment you make which I think is funny is, if you assume I suck because I made a throwing error, deciding to squeeze in a run with Harmon Killebrew is even more nonsensical.
“Hey, my opponent sucks! I’d better try and bunt with Killer!” (Said nobody ever).

No, I don’t think so.
Buddy was just trying to argue that it was on me because I made a throwing error to put the runner on third in the first place.

Let’s be serious here, it worked for Jake Taylor. I don’t think he ever bunted in his career either but his epic swinging bunt to score Willie Mays Hayes won the Indians a World Series. Let’s not discredit the possibility that Killebrew wouldn’t have done the same thing.

I don’t see what the problem with bunting is when there’s a shift that counters it perfectly. Btw most of the people playing in December are the ones who would cheese.
Considering you have over 100 sac bunts this year, I’m not surprised to hear you say this.
What am I supposed to do when my pitcher is up lol

In RS it's pathetic. But in BR anything goes! And in events I'd probably do it if I was grinding it and thought it had a good chance of working. Time saved is a precious commodity sometimes!
I also have no issue with people doin it to me for the same reasons. However, the people that take the extra lead every pitch, the people that call time at the plate in EVERY 2 strike count (Yes, I experienced this very recently!), the practice swingers of years gone by, the bunt dancers, the habitual HR replayers, the ones that try to make u think a can of corn is a HR by sprinting towards the wall, and finally, the people who take the near maximum time between every pitch in a FUTILE attempt to fool the batter into thinking a PHAT one is coming right down the pipe via auto-pitch, did I cover everyone? Well........
They can all choke on a BBC!
Love,
Bill
Happy Holidays everyone.
You forgot the people that do not hit X in between batters and plays but instead watch the entire batter walk up animation.... press the button people!!
This about covers it for me. Can't stand you people, LOL. Bunt dancers are my worst enemy. If I'm in an event game and this happens they are getting a ball in the earhole and maybe the next one and maybe the next one. I will lose the game but it makes me feel better, lol. I'm weird I guess.

Is there a setting that controls this? A few times a game I’ll be up to bat, futilely pressing x while the game has to show the entire walkup. It may not be your opponents fault, he, like me, can’t or just may not know how to skip past it.

Theres been a few times that ive had to hold X for like 5 seconds. Is random when it happens

Ive seen a few people in this thread say bunting is cheesing and takes no skill, yet play their home games at Shippett. Some think that playing in that park also requires little to no skill.
Lol cry more about Shippett guy
Says the troll who Complains about bunting and cheesing just as much as I complain about Shippett. Look in a mirror guy.
Bunting is for guys that can’t hit, not a complaint just a factual statement
And Shippett is a bad stadium that throws of the balance of the game. Not a complaint , just a factual statement. If you’re allowed your opinion on bunting (and the knuckleball) then I’m allowed my opinion on Shippett. Don’t go saying “i suck” or “I’m a cryer” when I just looked through your post history and saw you complain about things in the game you think are imbalanced or are for people who “aren’t good”
You do suck though, Shippett isn’t the reason you suck though no matter how much you want that to be true ️
Nice retort, “well you may be right, but you still suck.” If you can’t win an argument, resort to baseless personal attacks, huh? Lol
There’s no argument, you post non stop about Shippett like that’s the reason you’re not good, if you play so many games at Shippett and it’s so garbage and allows everyone to hit why are you hitting .241?

You’ve played 19 of your last 20 games at home. I may “suck” but at least I don’t cheat
I didn’t realize playing at home was cheating lol good to know
How do you end up playing at home so many times? Unless you flipped heads on a coin 19 out of 20 times, it’s because you used the home hunting exploit to guarantee yourself to play at a stadium that fits your style of gameplay and allows you to use home quirks on your cards. If that’s not cheating, at the very least it definitely isn’t fair play.
Home quirks
Yes some cards have quirks that make them play better at home. Do you ever look at those?
Imagine thinking home quirks are having a huge effect have a great day 55% remember Shippett is the cause of all your problems in the game!
And have a great day playing 95% of your games at home. I may suck and complain,
But at least I’m not an exploiter or a cheater. Frankly, you should bannedLolllll I should be banned I’m so glad I came back to checking out the forums it never disappoints
Youre cheating and exploiting. That deserves a ban.
Haha sure I am
19 of the last 20 game at home.
20 of 20 counting the game I’m in now
At least you’re admitting it. Go back to your exploits, cheater.
Keep complaining about Shippett hey maybe next year you’ll be able to get up to being a .600 player! That still complains about Shippett
Maybe if I played all my games at home, I’d have a better record. But I play on the road like a real player. I may complain, but at least I’m not a cheater.
Nah you wouldn’t have a better record
Maybe not, but I wouldn’t be a cheater.
You got my username, send a message to Victor and tell him I should be banned for it, see how it goes
So now you’re saying you cheat and you’ll get away with it. You have no ground to make an argument, you have no standing to tell other people they suck at the game, you cheat. Plain and simple. No matter if you get banned or not, you cheat. Congratulations on your success.
But it’s not cheating lol it is for you because I made fun of your nonsense and you needed something to latch on to
How is it not cheating exactly? How can you make posts saying people who bunt aren’t real players mad people who use knuckleballers are exploiters when you are using the biggest exploit out there to ensure yourself a favorable game condition? You cheat and that’s the only argument I need from now on.
Lol latching on as best you can
Whatever cheater.
Aww when you’re so in your feelings
Says the guy with the laughing crying emoji attack my character instead of arguing the issue. You cheat, plain and simple.
I have nothing to argue ️ You’re bad, I’m guessing you’re always going to be bad and you blame Shippett for your struggles instead of getting better
When you cheat, you have no ground to tell other people that they are bad or to attack their record. You cheat. Plain and simple.
How did he cheat?
