I can def back @The_Canuckler up on the home hunting thing. I don’t do it myself and I actually wish it wasn’t in the game, but I def get it. And it certainly doesn’t diminish his skill level. If he were to play on the road and get some bad connection game at an mlb park or something, he’d have the skill to overcome it and win, it’s just a miserable gaming experience. I put myself through it by playing road games and I’m still able to win most of the time, but it’s just much more frustrating, which is why a lot of people decide to

A bad connection is something we all have to deal with from time to time. It’s part of online play. Home hunting is heating, plain and simple. It gives you multiple consistent advantages over your opponent and allows you to skew the game in one favor. If everyone home hunted, no one would be able to get into a game, because everyone would back out at the lineup screen and the game would grind to a halt. It is already too wide spread as it is. It is an indefensible exploit and anyone who engages in that tactic should not be coming on to forums bragging about their record and telling other people they suck. Frankly, they should be banned. They are a disgrace to the majority of this community that engages in fair play.
Lol I literally played like 8 of 10 games on the road last week
That means nothing if you cheat now
Lol just going cling to that, I guess it’s all you’ve got at this point, if I was going to do it I might as well do it 100% of the time all year
I already told you I’m going to cling to it because it’s the only argument I’ll need. You cheat, plain and simple.
Can we keep it to one thread it’s getting annoying going back and forth lol
Can we just stop this period? I’m only continuing this because a cheater attacked my record.
Nahhh I like seeing you get upset about it lol it’s like your complaints about Shippett
Have a good Christmas 55%!How can you have make fun of someone’s record when you didn’t come by yours honestly? Lol amazing.
Because I did come by my record honestly lol

He can have the last word, I blocked him. Probably should’ve done that a while ago. I apologize to most of the community for you guys having to put up with this petty bull [censored]. I just have a hard time with someone saying I suck and attacking my record, when they themselves do not come by their record honestly. I did take it a bit personally and carried on the argument way past its expiration point. My apologies to you and almost everybody else.

Yet , you don’t home hunt. You know there is a disadvantage to being on the road and you do it anyways. I don’t check peoples records or know who these streamers are that you guys mention. From what I gather , people say you are good and yet have seen a brag post from you. You don’t brag and play on the road.
Furthermore, it’s your opinion that he can overcome it , but can he overcome it and the same win clip?hmmmm that’s the root of the criticism here. Bragging about a win record/stats that are driven primarily from home games at specific park of his choosing that he is well familiar with.
The other guy brags about his stats and in my opinion he doesn’t have much to brag about.
Anybody with a minor degree in psychology can tell you why , but spirit of Xmas. Let’s not destroy that guy’s fragile ego.

Just to summarize for the new readers...

I still feel it is worth pointing out that 55% win percentage is nothing to make fun of someone for. The NY Yankees had a 55% win percentage this year. I think the best in MLB history is .70 something with the 2001 Mariners and a few other teams.
The kind of win percentages that the top players have in this game are not realistic at all, and well, who cares! I would expect that in a video game.

I don’t consider a winning percentage in the .500s good ️

I think the reason for this is mlbts is 1v1. One player controlling his team vs the other player. Irl, it’s a team sport, so lesser teams can beat better teams much more often especially if their guys get hot and the better team is cold.
Also, mlb teams are constantly playing the best competition, themselves. Always playing the best in the world. In mlbts, many of these top players dodge comp via FQ, which makes their records look much better. If top players were constantly playing each other, the records would be less ridiculous

I didn’t say anything about the OFs arm. I’m talking about your inability to make a perfect throw. It takes a whoooooooole lot less skill than hitting. I love seeing an opponent make an error. I can beat them almost every time, and I’m terrible.
Did you miss the part where I said I use buttons? It has nothing to do with ability. You press a button and the game does math to decide whether the throw is good or not. Ability does not enter into it.
Also, the thread is about bunting with a power hitter, not how good you are at defense.
If you use buttons, then you lack skill. Plain and simple.
The thread is about you whining about getting beat because someone chose to score off of you on a bunt after your lack of skill put a runner on third. It’s BR. You get that runner in.
Play with accuracy and you won’t have the problem. If I see someone make an error, I assume they suck.

Nice flex try.
You’re the only one stuck on the “test the defence’s arm” point.
That is not what the thread was about, but merry Christmas anyway!
I learned analog pitching this year. That was enough. Next year I’ll take on button accuracy.

Was it worth it for you to learn analog? I’ve been using meter since 06. Have been wanting to learn analog but the few times I’ve tried, I’ve gotten crushed, and went back to what worked for me. It’s apparently the way to go though. As far as button accuracy goes, to me the few extra errors I get a year from using button meter is a lot less than all the extra errors I would get from learning button accuracy early on. I could be wrong, but it doesn’t seem like that drastic of a change.
-
At first, it was a struggle for sure, but I realized I was not going to improve without committing to it. The thing I find about analog is that, despite the random results we’ve all sometimes experienced, I can still throw the occasional dot. With pulse, I find the result at best will be in the vicinity of where I’m aiming.
I think it was worth the effort to learn, but I do sometimes go back to pulse once and a while when I’m facing a good hitter, because it changes the pattern of how I miss.

The other part of this comment you make which I think is funny is, if you assume I suck because I made a throwing error, deciding to squeeze in a run with Harmon Killebrew is even more nonsensical.
“Hey, my opponent sucks! I’d better try and bunt with Killer!” (Said nobody ever).

Let’s be serious here, it worked for Jake Taylor. I don’t think he ever bunted in his career either but his epic swinging bunt to score Willie Mays Hayes won the Indians a World Series. Let’s not discredit the possibility that Killebrew wouldn’t have done the same thing.
