I may be a little bitter due to losing my first event game today but how many of you think Charlie Blackmon could hit this cutter out to left field?

It's the age-old debate. Should the pitcher or batter be rewarded on input? If he put a good swing on it, most people would agree the batter should be the one rewarded.

That’s fair. It was one of those physics defying swings I guess. How it stayed fair I don’t know, but tip of the cap to my opponent.

    I think I’m now 5-1 so I won’t complain.

Same happened to me last night on a cutter that was about a foot off the plate and at first I was pissed but then the feed back showed good good so I just figured he put a good swing on it and was rewarded. If it was ok contact I would have been more annoyed.

I guess it's possible but it shouldn't come off the bat with very much exit velo since it's that far off the plate. I'm sure he could shoot it the other way. Who was your pitcher?

It was Gold Brett Cecil. His cutter breaks quite a bit.

It’s very possible Blackmon could hit it to left. Late swing with good contact in a hitter friendly park, it happens sometimes. If he hit a homer to left center, I would laugh at it.

I did kind of laugh. It was slicing so hard but literally wrapped just inside the foul pole at the wall. I should have recorded it.

I think opening a game to back-to-back "Very Late/Jammed" doubles for a run hurt my soul than most results.
