Simple fix for homerun replayers

Just give the option for the "victim" to skip the replay. As simple as that.

Um... how does that fix anything? What's the point of having replay if the other person can just skip it?
Just to clarify, I rarely replay (only when I'm playing a troll). But it's not something that needs fixing.

If I hit an absolute bomb you bet your [censored] I’m watching it so deal with it. Other than that I could care less about replays. Sometimes runs are extremely hard to come by so I enjoy it when I can

If someone replays a home run of any kind - no doubter or wall scraper - I just assume they don't hit very many. It was kind of neat at first, but by now we've all seen so many there's nothing new about it.
Unless of course there's something odd that happens. For instance the ball going through the wall, or bouncing off a glove and over. Otherwise it's all the same animations repeated.
That being said, I don't care if someone replays against me. It's 10 seconds of my life. Really not going to impact me in any way.

There is no doubt about it: replaying a homerun is douchey. To me, it is akin to all the many unwritten rules in baseball that are meant to keep people from rubbing it in. Replaying a homerun is definitely rubbing it in.
Also, I think replaying home runs on AS is especially douchey, as anyone can hit a homerun with terrible timing and/or PCI placement on AS.
However, I will say that giving us the ability to replay homeruns when we hit them but not replay when we rob one is messed up. If we have one we should have the other.

The homerun replay fix is to just simply grow some balls. If you don’t like watching your opponent replay bombs , don’t give any up.

Complain about content? everyone is entitled you their opinions. Complaining about people "showing you up" or "being toxic" when SDS put in watching replays for that exact purpose just makes absolutely no sense to me

I replay my opponents homer runs for them. Why not? Sometimes they will return the gesture and it’s just kind of fun

Yes. They quite literally said pre release when they talked about homerun replays that the purpose was showing up your opponent. Homerun replays are very clearly working exactly as intended. I don’t think I have even replayed a homerun since May either. But being offended by it blows my mind

I think the simplest compromise would be to just shorten the replay. Instead of showing the useless part where they show the animated characters reaction, just only show the ball track and distance. That is all we really care about anyways. Then it is just quick and to the point, and only real uptight people will be hurt by it.

I hear you. I don't replay them either. Simply because i don't think I'm good enough to do it then end up losing by 10 at the end. Lol
