Griffey Week...
-
-
About time we see his 99 final card. Also hope they don't disrespect him like last year.
-
I’m hearing there will be a Griffey & Verlander card? Was this actually announced?
-
The 10th inning program is now saying "one-of-a-kind program. I'm wondering if it's possible there might only be one player in that program, with that player being Griffey.
In any case, here comes the headache; how do I arrange my outfield. There's Trout who's never leaving, Mantle, Cobb, and Walker. Who sits? Does anyone sit? That problem becomes greatly increased when Mays gets here.

Sell Cobb or walker, move the other to the bench, and then wait.
Now, if Mays comes in my only thought from there I s to move 2nd baseman to OF and play 4 there.
-
Heck yes! But seriously who do I take out? I’ve got Cobb, Trout, and Mantle and love all 3. I’d take out Mantle but I’m 3 rbi away from prestige. Decisions, decisions...
-
Just think, a casual online player might get to use him in fifty games before they start promoting ‘21! Won’t be enough time to get close to prestige if he’s eligible, but who cares?
10th inning is too late in the game cycle for Griffey. Especially if he’s eligible for prestige.
-
What if the Griffey card is his immortal card from 18
I think we can all agree we would be ok with that
I know immortal is a dirty word around here
-
We all get a voucher that we can redeem for an actual 1989 Upper Deck Griffey card since there were enough printed for everyone in the world to have triples of them.

Thing is, I like both Cobb and Walker a lot. Selling anyone isn't necessary, so I'm left with how to fit all these great players onto a 25 man roster.

Can’t we get that HW card from ‘17? The card art was beautiful.

Or, and this is speculation, maybe it's a one of a kind program because we can pick more than one boss?
I'm probably just dreaming, doubt that is true, but it'd be nice lol

I can support that make Griffey a prime series card and use that art, yes please

There's the possibility that Upper Deck stopped printing it just last month.

Yeah, it’s definitely a good problem to have. The other thought would be to sit Mantle and have him first out if you are struggling in a game with any of the other OF options.

You know, Mantle's not my best, but he's still pretty good. I'm better than I was at hitting same handedness, but I still prefer a switch hitter. I'd have to say right now he's a lock, and Trout is just simply my best, so those two are in. That leaves Cobb, Walker, Griffey, and Mays, fighting it out for the last spot. When you factor in I like to keep my lineup balanced outside of switch hitters, and prefer a slight edge to left handers, it kind of leaves Mays in a bad spot. Walker has been a helluva bat, and Cobb is an ideal leadoff coupled with blazing speed in the outfield. I think I want a four man outfield
-
Griffey, Trout, Walker. Gotta go with the best swings out there. Mantle hits around.290 for me, while Trout and Walker sit around.330.

There you go; play either 2nd or short at the middle outfield depth and you’ll be unstoppable!!

There’s no way Griffey is a repeat boss though... he was last years 6th inning boss. I don’t know what else he could be, but they haven’t done a single repeat boss this year. Perhaps that’s what they mean when they say it’s a one of a kind program.
-
I’m happy for you guys that have been waiting for Junior but I want Mays and Mays only. He is the best CF of them all and runs down everything. I have Cobb, Trout, Mantle as starters and Walker off the bench. I want Willie but tough choice who to pull for him
