I had the exact same issue this morning after the patch and I found the solution. Try this.
Go to setting -> Network -> Run Test Internet Connection.This solved the issue for me.

I thought you guys were making this up... now I'm getting it. If I just keep on clicking through, ultimately I can connect after 2 or 3 tries, but it's disconcerting...

I got this message just now after trying to get into DD twice, it let me in on the third try

Had same issue earlier...restarted ps4 and tested internet connection. Did the trick. Thanks for sharing advice folks!

I'm back in, just reboot your ps4 and wait about 2/5 minutes. Thats very annoying.

I have actually had it happen 2 days in a row ever since the recent download that added new card art. So does this mean there were hidden update

I’ve been having this issue as well. Ever since uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I can get into DD, but it takes several attempts before I am able to do so.

I'm having the same issue. It started after the last show update. This is ridiculous that this far into the game that we have to deal with this. I've got booted several times trying to finish the run it back conquest. I'm not happy. I've spent time and money on a game that doesn't even work correctly at the back end of it's life cycle. If another realistic baseball game comes out I'll jump ship from this sinking ship.

Same thing happened to me. Keep trying to log into DD, after 5 times or so I get logged in.

I've been having this issue since patch 1.14.
Constant network errors and unhandled server exceptions. It's not my ISP (as they've suggested) and its not my PS4 or my router. I never had this issue at all last season. Yet they refuse to fix the issue on their end cause they don't think there is an issue. Its stupid.

Umm. Suddenly tonight I can't play an online match... I've been doing offline things for a few days so maybe I've just avoided the issues everyone else has been having? But I've just tried 4 different online matches (three ranked and one event) and disconnect between the first pitch and first out. And I'm taking the loss which angers me.

It’s the 1.18 update. That’s why 1.19 is being released tonight. It’s affecting some worse than others . I have gotten the same issue as well and continued trying to enter DD several times and I usually get in after the second or third try. But it’s a known issue

I go to network settings and re setup internet. This happens to me lately too.
