They've had to be silent a lot this year on social media. It's gut wrenching how often the police murder unarmed black folks while letting white 17 year olds walk towards them with a loaded rifle after killing 2.
Thankfully SDS is bringing it to your attention, even if your eyes are closed.
Jacob Blake wasn't unarmed he did have a knife on him and told the police he had one. Also after a taser was he was still stand and walked around to the driver side of his car.
Now I'm not condoning what happened and some of the instances are over the line but some in the past have actually by fighting with police and reached for their gun. I watched a video when ferguson happened of a former inmate who was black and had spent 10 years in prison they asked him his thoughts about everything going on and he said I know I will never have an issue with the police because if they tell me something I'm going to do it when they say it. If your calm and do what they are asking you to do you will have no problem.
I have no problem with protesting because that is the right people have in the USA unlike most other countries where you will be arrested or killed for speaking your mind but there is no reason when ever there is a protest or something happens that people have to start setting cars and buildings on fire and looting. It makes no sense what is setting a building on fire going to do for you. All it does is effect and hurt the owner of that business or property maybe it is a single mother and the car the torch is the only way to get to work to feed her kids. It is uncalled for to steal and damage stuff that isn't your property.

You know that MLB is just BLM backwards. Should advertise something like "when the MLB looks in the mirror to reflect on how we are doing we see BLM" We all need to take a look at ourselves and see how we can help with the BLM movement.
We may not all be able to physically protest but we can certainly support BLM on here...and certainly not stop the protests

Probably a 42 map for Jackie Robinson day being observed today. I’m glad there social media is silent right now.

Playing video games is one of my only ways to escape how crappy the country is at the moment. We have the social issues and a full blown pandemic everyday staring us in the face.
I don’t need SDS to take a stance on this issue. Not every human is a piece of ****. If you have a good heart and you know it, there is nothing wrong with wanting to escape the madness in the world for a bit with the games you like.
Things need to change, but police reform has nothing to do with MLB the Show.
I understand what athletes are doing though. It gets people talking about the issues that would usually ignore them.
This country is divided all over the place. Rich - poor, black - white, gay - straight, and Republican - Democrat.
Until we start to come together and work together, we will forever be ****ed.
well said my man

I'm loving it and MLB should be getting the word out. I guess I didn't have the sound on any games I watched yesterday so I didn't realize what was happening.

While I agree with most of this statement Whites aren’t killed or shot at when they have a knife. And they are stealing stuff to send the message because no one listens to a peaceful protest. Overall, well said though!

I am thinking the same way. It is perfectly fine if they have a stance but they dont need to be shoving it down peoples throats. I play the game to forget about [censored] in life and just have an hour without having to deal with everything in the world I don't need my video bringing the outside world into the video game. I support and agree with how the yankees and the the nationals showed there support the first game of the season by kneeling before a black line but then they all stood for the national anthem. It shows respect to the country that people died for so people could say what ever they want and it shows respect for the game.

It is sad that the Riots and violence take away from the message and the conversations that need to happen. Instead of the focus on the cause the focus turns to the violence. Something that can be so positive turns into bad situations and evilness that most of us do not want. Unless you been in these situations you do not know what you would do. I have not been in a situation where I had to make a choice as a police officer. Wrong or right. From my understanding of the facts The cops were called out by an ex because of a retraining order, The guy had a warrant for his arrest. He refuse to go peacefully. The cops tried to taser him but that failed he then stated he was going to his car to get a knife. He had kids in the car. Now the kids could be in danger he did have a retraining order on him.. Should have the cops never showed up to the call. Could he have hurt one of the kids with the knife? We do not know what his mental state was? i personally do not think the cops should have shot the man until they knew there was greater danger. If the kids were not in the car would the police have shot him? We do not know that we can speculate. I like to know all the facts instead of just blaming another cop killed another person black what hispanic asian it happens to every race. We only hear about it when it is a black person why is that. It really starts with the hiring process, the Training and the leaders within the department. How does it get fix. Do we police ourselves? Do cops just not show up to calls where a possible officer shooting could take place because criminals do not want to go peacefully. Why the hell is it legal in some states to have Ak automatic rifles. My understanding is in Wisconsin it is legal to carry. My understanding there were multiple people with AK because they went to protect thee city from the Riots. What is truth and what is not two sides to every story. Hopefully we get all the facts. In the End what was the danger of why the cops shot.

No matter who you are if you have a gun on you and are not doing what that person is asking you to do while they are trying to defuse the situation to me that is asking for trouble.
I had seen one report where he didn't even know the people he was just trying to defuse the situation. Why get involved in others peoples business if it isn't effecting you. From what I have heard it was several women yelling at each other and a boyfriend who wasn't supposed to be there and he yelled at them. Was he the boyfriend that the woman called the police on.

Well I'm glad to finally read one of you admit it that stuff is being stolen. Key is, obey the law as positive change never comes by force, negative change however...

True! Add to this list:

- Zone vs. Directional
- OP's vs. Trolls
Can't us Forumer's get along?

The correct story is that his Blake's girlfriend called the police when he was in her home when he was not supposed to and took her keys.
The police dispatch is available for everyone to hear.
The dispatcher tells the repsonding unit the subject's name (Jacob Blake), so the police already knew who they were looking for and what his history / background is.Any story about him breaking up a fight or another domestic situation is a lie. A lie that was given life by his lawyer.
