Charlie Hustle !!!!!!!

Does SDS has to adhere to the MLB ban of Pete Rose as well? Wondering if SDS does not bring him in because they just choose not doing so or they just can not so due to the MLB ban.
How can you have a game with so many legends in it & NOT have the All Time Hit King himself Pete Rose, AKA Charlie Hustle.
Whats your thoughts on this. should SDS bring Pete Rose in next year if it's a matter if yes they can if wanted to & not having to go along with the MLB ban.
-
Probably a little bit of both. It's an officially licensed MLB product, so who knows about the legalese in the contracts between SDS and MLB. But it would behoove SDS to not bite the hand that feeds them, considering MLBTS is the only game they even make nowadays. I'd be willing to be you'd have a tough time finding an MLBTS player who doesn't want Pete Rose on their squad, though.
What better way to sell a video game than to be the first franchise to include Pete Rose?

Pete Rose was banned for life from Major Leauge Baseball as such any MLB product would include that ban.
Now MLB can make exceptions to that rule like they did when he was included in a ceremony before the 1999 All Star game I believe it was. So MLB could give permission if they wanted to to allow SDS to obtain the rights to Pete Rose. That being said I highly doubt MLB wants Pete Rose making money off of there product as well with the new agreement I doubt Sony and by extension SDS want to upset the partnership when they are in a position to start making money off the competition.
In summary Pete Rose will never be in MLBTS unless MLB reinstates Rose

I'm pretty sure Rose himself being acknowledged for his achievement in the sport will love to be in a game like this, especially for his fans. Even if it means forfeiting his royalties earned from this game straight back to MLB itself or a chosen charity that can benefit from those funds. Some things you can not put a price or value on in dollars. And for Mr. Pete Rose, I'm willing to bank on that he'd love to be in a game like this if he could & it would not be financially motivated. But hey, that's just my opinion & thoughts.

Pretty sure the issue with Mr Pete Rose is tha he is financially driven and no way would he give up money just so he is in a video game. Good chance he doesn't even know what video games are.

I'll take that bet. (Pun intended)
If there's one thing we know about Pete Rose, it's that he's in it for the buck. More power to him, of course, but the next time he does something for free will be the first.

I'm just trying to say there are others ways he is making money right now. But what he does not have is anything that has Baseball acknowledging him or his achievements as a player within MLB, HOF or even a Baseball Video. That there itself should be torturing & killing him. That if the only way he get some type of adulation were within a video game, then he just may be ok that he makes nothing from it because just being part of it is the reward itself. The fact that he is now relevant again in a positive way with fans rather then a negative way which is the black cloud a/ways over him as it is right now. That's just my thought & opinion. It's how I would think if I was in his situation.

Pete Rose is for sale so if SDS wanted him in he would be ok with it.
The question is whether Rose would even be worth it. He wouldn’t be fast or powerful or have good defense. He would be a pretty boring card actually
-
He's in the Pro Wrestling HOF. If he wants to sell his likeness to be in a video game, I'm sure fans will bite the bullet and pay for a www game to get beaten up as Charlie Hustle. As for baseball and any baseball related activities...l'd be fine with him getting in posthumously, but he should never be recognized in his lifetime. He bet on games in which he as a manager had direct involvement the outcome. This is unforgivable.
-
I agree that what he did as a "Manager" is wrong & being banned from baseball is what he deserved. But that was as a "Manager" & NOT as a "Player". What he achieved as a player was thru honest merits & got more hits lifetime then anyone else which no one yet has been able to break or even come close with the only exception Ichiro coming some what close. That achievements alone should have him in the HOF. The ban should'nt have anything to do with it. Player / Manager are 2 different things & took place at different times. The ban is punishment enough with not being able to "work" in anyway at all within MLB. But keeping him out of the HOF for me is wrong. He did something no other player has been able to do & it's as well punishing the fans of that era such as myself.
