Sorry about that, but it's better than seeing Kluber/Hal/insert goon here in 9 inning games every game.
They're treating RS, like BR and abusing the SP situation.
-
Yeah the blood diamond online stat grind was not their best idea. At the same time, the option is nice if it’s your thing/obsession, but they shouldn’t have linked a collection to it.
-
Seaver doesn't have prestige stats. But the 50% energy thing is really dumb

No I disagree with u. Im fine seeing any pitcher . He's right if someone quits before 5 innings nothing should happen to starters stamina
-
I pitched 2 innings with madbum who I was trying out for first time . Guy quit. So I sold madbum, positive was I made 3 k profit just to try him out lol
-
That sucks but they need to really understand physics. I’m tired of opponents pulling sliders or cutters on the outside of the plate for early homeruns or hits.

Every “fix” they come up with isn’t a actual fix and it needs to stop. Base running is about as bad as ever since the “fix” to running back on pick offs. Now these guys can’t react to anything and even a single in the outfield gets them throw out at the next base.

I've seen some weird stuff since the last update. Double steals where the guy on 1st goes and the guy on 2nd doesn't, laying down bunts with speed guys only to have them jog lazily down to 1st, guy's not rounding 3rd and heading for home despite directionally advancing them... There was some issues before but I feel like some things got worse. Maybe it's a result of the fix one thing break 2 programming paradox.
At least they seem to be genuinely trying to work on things.

I’m sure their genuinely trying to work on things to ensure they maximize their chance for cashing in on the fact everyone is (still) stuck at home due to a global pandemic creating the perfect environment for these “random” fixes to work their magic and force players to spend more $$ on stubs to buy even BETTER player cards based on the flawed thinking maybe doing so will overcome these “random” weird occurrences and give them a better shot at winning a game they already paid for months ago when another full batch of “random” fixes happened to show up in the middle of the night with lethal effect on the prior version of the game so that’s why they had to buy the better player cards they had to replace for patch 1.10010101...or your guess is as good as mine but that’s the recurring nightmare of a problem which they genuinely seem to accidentally create every other week!
Some would also argue its the classic mistake of trying to make an extra $1 today to ensure you MINIMIZE future profits going forward...seems like an odd strategy since I hear next year is suppose to be the year most games are sorta focusing on with the PS5 (and Xbox game?) releases. But it’s their monopoly to lose so if that’s what they want to do I’ll suck it up now knowing that better MLB games may actually be closer than I thought possible

Started Smoltz last night in a game with full energy. Played 1 inning and dude quit down 1-0. Went to start next game and his energy was less than half. maybe threw 8-12 pitches in the first inning. ridiculous
-
Blame it on the guys that were using only a 3 man rotation and always bringing starters in for relief!! Did they come up with the best solution, maybe not. But I'll rather have this then what we had before. IMO
-
Get over it. You won. You will use Seaver in a few games.
This is infinitely better than randomized SP selection and facing Kluber out of the pen every game.
-
I agree with OP. The complaining about Starters out of the pen was ridiculous.
Recovery of a pitcher’s stamina should be based solely on his stamina and durability attributes and the number of pitches thrown.
It’s been said a million times before and now a million and one:
There is no rule in the MLB that prevents using a starter pitcher out of the bullpen.
This tweaking of stamina—taking away half an SP’s energy after throwing 10 pitches and a quit is B. S.
I can’t believe SDS caved on this issue.
Besides, when all that was happening, there weren’t many good bullpen arms. There are plenty now. They need to switch it back.
-
I threw a CG with Nolan Ryan on 90-odd pitches. He never fell to a yellow energy bar during the game, yet after the game his energy was yellow. Makes no sense.
-
System in place now works fine. It's a video game so it can't replicate how an actual rotation were to work, but its far closer to it than it was prior.

Its not BS, its a quick fix to a big problem with the Stamina design and selectable pitchers.
Bringing starters out of the Pen is a fine move. But to only use the same 2 or 3 pitchers every game is the BS part.
It sucks when people quit early sure, but its no different than a real game being called for rain. You don't see starters going back out after an hour to keep pitching and they definitely don't go back to start the next game. Playoffs are a rare exception where a SP might be used out of the pen in 2 straight days.

I know, man. It’s the same arguments all over again. Some of us think RS are the playoffs, some of us don’t.

Tom Seaver is not prestigable , by default the rest of your post is irrelevant now

Don't let the truth get in the way of an arguement.

Yup, knew this would be an issue.
The fix in my mind is to STOP ONLINE STAT REQUIREMENTS. I hated that in 17, was glad they stopped. No idea why they brought it back. It promotes boosting and you are at the mercy of A Holes.
