@eatyum said in ROY: Luis Robert or Kyle Lewis?:

Right now Lewis deserves it imo

But Luis Robert is more hyped, and Seattle sucks, so assuming numbers stay relatively the same, Robert will win it

But those numbers presented in the OP aren't the same IMO.

Exactly. Lewis is definitely more deserving at the moment, but as eatyum pointed out, Luis Robert has a lot more media attention and hype.

Lewis with another three hits tonight now hitting .373.

I don’t care how hyped the guy is. If Lewis hits over .360 for the year, and Robert is under .300, I don’t see how Lewis doesn’t win. Especially in today’s world where only 3 people (or so) a year hit over .300!

Robert has the hype, but if we are basing it on actual facts, it’s Kyle Lewis.

Honestly I can’t believe the updates haven’t considered really any mariners players yet. Austin Nola is tearing the cover off the ball and is performing as a top 5 catcher and isn’t even a silver rating! Kyle Lewis is leading the league in hits and is still a bronze!!! All starting pitchers are very underrated as well, especially Marco Gonzalez. Just a shame.

At least we got a decent Evan White card.
His LS card has 59 arm and 53 acc for an 80 rated defender on the 20-80 scale. This guy is easily the best defensive 1B in the game.

Kyle Seager finally got a gold card, but still has a 54 arm.

I think probably they decide about where they want the player OVR to sit and then create the attributes.

I completely agree about white, also Lewis is 2nd in offensive war only trailing yazatrzemski(doesn’t look right).

I think that Rookie Of The Year voters generally don't necessarily side with rookie players just because they happen to be helping their team win more games or stay in a playoff race. Chicago's lineup has likely given Luis Robert much more protection, which could make what Kyle Lewis is doing more impressive.

When I saw that there was an SDS reply to something involving the Mariners, I thought “Collin must have said something” 🙂

Facts have no relevance in 2020. Robert all the way.

Yes it is, so why hasn't he received any upgrades?
