Anyone watch Movie’s stream last night? Dude was getting SLAUGHTERED by RNG. I know he won’t say anything to SDS since he’s a partner and such, but he went from being a top 50 player the last several years to looking extremely average this year almost exclusively because of the horrendous RNG online. Imagine how bad it’s going to be next year when all the XBox noobs show up. Fasten you’re seatbelts, boys.

He isn't a great player, he doesn't follow or watch much baseball, he can't pronounce half of the names correctly, this isn't an issue of RNG, he's just not that good.

I really like Movie and enjoy his content and the way he helps the community and all, but that being said I never viewed Movie as a consistent top50 player. Sure, he can be really good at this game and give everyone a run for their money, but he slumps an awful lot and often times really seems to just play poorly. I'm sure he's very well aware of this himself. RNG might play a factor like it does for all of us, but to chalk everything up to RNG as a reason of his falling off is a bit too much.

Yeah I watched that Future stars where are they now video he did and it made me sick how much he didn’t know. He had no idea who Sandy Alcantara was and he is the Marlins best pitcher and made the all star team last year lmao

Incoming “HE’S JUST NOT THAT GOOD” comments from guys who have never actually been good at the game. Unless you’re actually good and know what you are saying, please just have a seat. (380-435) .251 average

You don’t have to have incredible insight into the intricacies of MLB rosters in order to be good at a video game. Movie has been a legitimate top player for the past several years, regardless of how well he knows player names.

Top 50 only became an achievement last year. I imagine in the first 1-2 ranked seasons, those who elected to push for that rating did so without the same level of competition found at the top in later ranked seasons. Not saying that Movie is a bad player, it’s just he’s not one of these animals that you see in todays top 50. I enjoy watching him and think he’s a fine player and commentator.

Sorry to brake it to you but your hero has never ever been top 50, not even top 500. He sucks so bad that must average players can beat him. I know him since his early days when he was playing using directional hitting. Now, the RNG thing is another topic.

I understand that, and I never said that he was bad at this game. I’m just speaking to that particular video. He seems like a nice dude but making a where are the future stars now video without any knowledge or research doesn’t sit well with me and just seems like it was for the clicks

I never said he was a top 50 guy. Certainly not. But if you’ve ever watched him in the past, the dude could play with the best of them. If you don’t think RNG plays a significant factor especially early in Ranked Seasons (every ranking through ALLSTAR), you aren’t observing reality. Haha.

I have been watching him and playing him since 16. I am aware of his capabilities. I also play the same game as you, so I am affected by an equal amount of RNG as you, him or anyone else. I'm just saying that his decline is not solely caused by RNG.

My “hero” haha. I would take you seriously if anything you said made sense, but it doesn’t, so I won’t. Go peep his CURRENT lifetime rank and it will prove you wrong. (He’s 224th right now) haha

I agree. It’s not solely. But RNG is incredibly discouraging for guys who have been good for a long time while it is not discouraging to all the new guys who it is helping more than it is hurting.

Agreed, I slumped bad and got a bunch of bad breaks my last 10 games but tbh had I not had my head in my [censored] I probably would've won as usual. I think we need to be self aware of when we're playing like trash or else there's no way to improve and overcome said RNG.

This is exactly right. When you know you’re being RNG’d, it becomes a mental game and it becomes super easy to stop focusing/trying. That feeling of defeat is real man haha. Only dudes who truly overcome it are elite of elite guys like Rebel, Gunski, FriendKyle, etc.

I beat MOVIE in an event once, I felt bad for him because I got a late hit HR to win the game when my PCI wasnt anywhere close. I guess thats what happens when you use Red Diamond Reggie. He hits tanks, for fun.

I think he is the best to watch on YouTube. He is not elite by any means but he is always trying new things which is probably why he loses a decent amount of games but from time to time he hits on something that is usable. I have picked up 2 or 3 good tips from him just trying different things that I never thought of.
