I literally have to convince myself to play and start the grind to make WS. Every time I’m “searching for an opponent” I’m just enveloped in a deep, gloomy depression. It just is not fun anymore. And I absolutely love the game of baseball, so it hurts my heart to say that. But I’m super competitive and as soon as something as game-changing as RNG or unfair advantages or disadvantages impedes that competitiveness, I find the experience becomes incredibly cheapened. I’ve come to realize this is not how I should be feeling playing a baseball game I used to love. I realize this is now the reality of online gameplay for most games, so in that sense, at least I know I’m not alone in experiencing all the “BS”, as the young whippersnappers like to say. I just miss the days when true skill won the day. But it seems that mediocrity is just the way of the world these days, and that’s a darned shame. Good luck everyone.
P.S. I’m not a boomer.
Honestly. My bad guys. I do sound pretty douchey, I’ll be honest. I really didn’t intend to try to exalt myself in the post and I definitely posted this in a bad mood. I appreciate you guys letting me know how idiotic I sound. It’s just a game and I need to chill out.
So I’ve tried twice in a row for the 7 game series Kaline mission. Kept coming up short on home runs, but absolutely smoking 106mph liners everywhere and getting probably 25 hits. Anything in the air just didn’t have the velocity. So I decided to switch to directional hitting to see what happened. Hit a home run in my very first at-bat and had the 2 home runs needed after the 2nd game. Makes absolutely no sense. It should be much easier to hit home runs using zone hitting and squaring up pitches in the upper area of PCI. And don’t get me started on online gameplay. Haha. COME ON SDS! You’re better than this!

... that Jon Edwards still has Chief Wahoo on his hat will SDS change it?
I forgot about all the Native American outrage at Chief Wahoo that caused the logo to change. Literally nobody except people who are offended by literally everything cares about the logo. Honestly.
Is a struuuuuuggle session. WHYYYYYY?! Anyone else having an insanely hard time making WS this season?
I’m usually pretty patient, but this year’s game has quickly turned into a literal can of trash. Going to go enjoy things that matter more and don’t make me so angry haha. Good luck everyone. Stay safe!
Anyone watch Movie’s stream last night? Dude was getting SLAUGHTERED by RNG. I know he won’t say anything to SDS since he’s a partner and such, but he went from being a top 50 player the last several years to looking extremely average this year almost exclusively because of the horrendous RNG online. Imagine how bad it’s going to be next year when all the XBox noobs show up. Fasten you’re seatbelts, boys.
SEE YA LATER SKILL GAP!!! It was nice getting to know you again for one week. What an absolute joke this franchise has become.
Ranked Seasons is super fun and competitive and pitching stats matter a TON! The average ERA this season is only around 9!!! I love how much fun it is!!!!!! Incredibly realistic to real life, too! With such a tiny, almost imperceivable skill gap, David can slay Goliath time and time again!!!
Do you flail at every single pitch?!
Have you never made it past the Division Series?!
Do you struggle against decent players?!
WELL FRET NO LONGER BECAUSE NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE AND EVERYTHING IS INSANE!!! TRY OUR NEW “BLINDFOLD CHALLENGE,” WHERE WE GUARANTEE THAT IF YOU PLAY A 9-INNING GAME BLINDFOLDED, YOU’LL HIT AT LEAST 6 HOME RUNS OR YOU GET 20 STANDARD PACKS ON US!!
HAVE FUN!!!

He isn't a great player, he doesn't follow or watch much baseball, he can't pronounce half of the names correctly, this isn't an issue of RNG, he's just not that good.

Incoming “HE’S JUST NOT THAT GOOD” comments from guys who have never actually been good at the game. Unless you’re actually good and know what you are saying, please just have a seat. (380-435) .251 average
It is absolutely unreal how many terrible swings of the bat fall for hits in BR. Makes going 12-0 much more difficult. Frustrating!
@chuckuluck_psn said in BR pinch hitter pitching:
Why is the game making my pinch hitter pitch suddenly? Like I go to the menu to put a reliever in to pitch and there isn’t an option to put him in, so it makes me throw to 3 hitters and essentially lose the game.
Apparently I pinch hit using Matt Davidson, who apparently has a backup position as RP, so it made me pitch with him. Weird.
How do you mess up defensive animations THIS badly?
Dear SDS,
You all have got to do something about new common and bronze players being added to rosters that immediately become un-buyable and, thus, make it nearly impossible to complete live-series collections.
Sincerely, Everyone.
I’m a big advocate or awarding XP for hard contact lineouts, perfect perfect outs, lengthy at-bats, etc. It would make the tough-luck aspect of the game a little more palpable.
So I’ve been playing a bit of Conquest and I like to play most games on veteran to make it relaxed and easier to gain XP for player missions, etc. But I’ve noticed something within the last week or so that is interesting. Pitchers literally give me nothing to hit on VETERAN. Like common pitchers, not diamonds or golds or silvers…commons. I have to be insanely selective at all times and it’s not unusual to be walked 3 times in an inning. And when I do finally hit it hard after being patient, it’s just a line out or a 106mph double play. Really difficult to scores runs or gain much XP consistently, and it seems to be this way purposefully. Anyone else noticing this?

@chuckuluck_psn said in Created stadium. Home games impossible?: I remember playing ONE online home game super early in the year at my created stadium. I have not had a single home game there ever since. I play at other players’ created stadiums, so I know it’s possible. But I’ve literally tried multiple times every day for months and never get one. Every time it says “opponent found” it gives me an error and says “lost connection with opponent” and takes me back to the loadout screen. Anyone know what is going on? Something I’m doing wrong? Do you have cross play on? If not, I have no clue.

Yes. I have cross-play enabled. Maybe I need to re-upload my stadium to the vault?

Difficulty. Even smaller on legend
I understand that difficulty decreases PCI size, but there’s no way my PCI should be as small as it is when I’m starting the season in the 700s. I see dudes streaming all the time on HOF and Legend with PCIs way bigger than mine has been this season. Just weird to me.
