Why do people quit ?

Why should you care if you get a free win?? If I’m getting hammered why should I waste my time? I’ll take the L and start another game. Not sure how I’m not accepting my loss. I’m accepting it and moving on.
You start a game finish the game, if you were winning you would finish so why not finish when you're losing ?? ESPECIALLY if the game is still in reach, I"m not even talking about 10 run leads, people quit only being down 3 or 4 runs... It's ridiculous ...

same..... im tired of playing teams loaded with 99 players every positions, yet my team is a high 80s ranked maybe 1 or 2 99 guys.... and i no hit them thru 4...5 even 8 innings and they quit....
I"m talking regular teams, not the super teams ....

That's sports, someone wins someone loses and you try your best and if you lose at least you tried... What is the mind set of playing a sports game when you can't accept a loss? I can't even understand that mind set... Playing online is just hopeless with all the quitters...
I think this year it actually has more to do with strategy honestly, at least on my end. If your down a lot early you have to bring in relievers or a starter out of the pen, and with energy this year you can either tax your entire bullpen for a game your in reality not gonna win, meaning you have no arms for the next game, or coincide the game and save your arms and have a better shot at the next game.
You're talking a huge deficit though, not a game you still have a shot in... This is why I play franchise mostly, I like starting a game and finishing a game despite what the score is, win or lose...

I agree I’m talking about more of a bigger deficit but there also is a lot of feeling, and I’m sure you’ve experienced it, in online games where you feel like your playing the RNG and not your opponent. That’s not the case in franchise or vs the cpu games (minus showdowns and moments) There’s been games where I’m squaring up balls left and right just missing Perfect/perfect and there lineouts or double plays, but I’m down 4 runs late in a game where my opponent has scored off multiple very late/very early weak contacts and 1 decent contact hit. This gets incredibly frustrating and makes the game more of a chore than a video game. I’ve had a number of games this year where I’m dominating a player but every time I square up a ball to put a major gap between us in runs, it results in a double play or a line out to keep the game close. Then proceed to blow the lead in the 8th or 9th off of weak infield singles, broken bat hits, or a bloop. Then have my abs to tie or take the lead again be perfect/perfect outs or dead center good timing hits line out or die right at the base of the fence. Those games arnt fun and make you want to quit the game, so i get it when guys get down a few runs and just don’t want to deal with the BS

Quitter suffer from THS....
Tiny heart syndrome......
If you quit you shouldnt be able to a diamond or reach world series.
Quitting is a terrible character trait. I've been beat 11-1 b4 its humbling you take it on the chin you get up dust off and move on. Learn. But do not be a quitter. -

In 2017 they had a concede button, they should bring it back.
Concede is just an alternate spelling of quit. They still.uave the concede option.
No it's not. a quit is you are done trying to do something, a concede ,like a surrender, is an acknowledgement of the other person's victory.
-
I've quit a few times, mostly it's a time thing like when I'm trying to bank wins in an event before a deadline. I tend not to quit in the Ranked games, but in the events with the amount of cheese that goes on, yeah, I'll bounce if it gets annoying. I don't care if someone quits but the dashboarding though is pretty disrespectful if you ask me.
-
Quitting: understandable
Dashboarding during a homer/hit/save so it doesn't count: lame

Um........ you just typed the same thing back to back. Surely you realize the end result is the same no matter what word you are using?

Some people don’t have the time to sit there and take an [censored] whooping instead of starting your next game. I’m bot playing out an event game if I am clearly outmatched

Sometimes it’s more important to reset your bullpen stamina then further deplete it trying to slog out a win

Actually those are wise words on his part, because whether you're playing in an actual league or playing a video game, quitting is quitting, and at the end of the day you're playing a game, so why start playing that game just to quit because you're not getting the results you want... It's a guarantee if those same people were winning they wouldn't be quitting, so why put so much into that, have fun and finish the game win or lose...

It's a game yes. But quitting is a mentality. You quit in a video game you'll quit in real life when things get tough. Winners dont quit it's really that simple. I dont quit in a video game bc I dont quit in real life even when the odds are against you. Any1 thinking my way of thinking is way off clearly isnt an alpha, or a winner.

Quitting should hurt all you teams pitchers by 25% for next game. Quitting should not be met with rewards.

If I'm playing a game that I'm clearly overmatched and not enjoying it then I'll quit. I only have so much time in the week to play, I'm not going to waste it getting destroyed when I can move on to a different opponent.
I also will not judge a person I don't know, nor will ever meet on if the quit in a video game or not, but I guess accroding to your standards I am not an "alpha" or a "winner" -

Regular teams? I didn’t know anyone even played with regular teams. They quit because they get no stats for DD so who cares. I quit if I get smoked bc it’s a waste of time when I could be playing for a win 2 minutes later
