This is true! Dodgers are getting Mookie a solid 4 years before the Angels got Albert. There’s NO WAY I would sign him to a 12 year deal!! But it will be very cool to have the second best player in baseball during his prime!! I agree with the previous gentleman.....I can’t believe they agreed to pay Eovaldi and Price and won’t buck up for #2!!!

We can all agree that we would rather have Betts over Harper, right? Don’t get me wrong. I love Bryce harper. I think he had a solid year last year and he deserves to get paid. I like what the Phillies have done/are doing. But, he’s not mookie.
Couldn’t agree more!!! I happen to think Harper is over rated based on what he’s getting paid. NO WAY would I pay him that kind of money. Trout and Betts are light years better than Harper. Harper has had 1 really good year. That’s it!

The last two years he hit 34 and 35 respectively. That doesn’t impress me when you only hit .249 and .260. Now......the year he hit 42, that was awesome cuz he also hit .330.

We have the most money to spend in the league after this year. They built this thing right. Have a bunch of good prospects and literally no payroll other than Miggy.
Tigers are sitting great. Wish the Pistons did what the Tigers did years ago. Tear it all down

I dont see it. I dont think theyre going to be the Rays, but I dont see them coming close to the payroll tge old man had either.

I don’t think they will spend like before. But even if they spent a ton, they’d still be on the bottom of the league’s payroll. Chris Illitch said he will spend when the time is right. Mookie was the name being thrown around. So who knows what direction they are heading. I do think the Tigers will be competitive within 2-3 years.
