I think people are reading way too much into things if they think "the chase for" is hinting at anything. Probably just a meaningless placeholder until they tell us who it is.

Doesn't every major league stadium in the game have some placard or something that says "the chase for 56". I'm assuming that alludes to the 56 game hitting streak. And since I'm sure SDS didn't say "let the chase begin" for no reason, maybe it IS Joe DiMaggio!!!
This is a good catch. I have noticed that sign in game a lot. Makes sense.

This is a good catch. I have noticed that sign in game a lot. Makes sense. His attributes would also probably be very similar to honus last year.
