Smoltz? Glavine? Maddux?
I snapped a screenshot, it's a left handed pitcher.
ITS ALL 3

They better let the control attribute go over 99 for Maddux. He should have 125 control and 125 BB/9

I am really curious how they will make Maddux as effective as he was in real life.
Pitchers throwing a fastball below 90 mph get mashed in this game.
Nevermind that he had about 7-8 different pitches in his repertoire.
Just wondering how they will make a "pitch to contact" pitcher like Maddux effective in this game.

I'm curious about whether or not they fixed two seamers or if we should be crossing our fingers for a sinker. I'm picturing Maddux as Romo, but with a circle change, and I'm stoked about it.

Adding these three makes me want a version of March to October with all time team rosters... I barely played MTO in 19, but really enjoyed it when I did play. They need some more reasons to jump into that mode and I think all time teams might do it for me.

People constantly underestimate Maddux as a strikeout pitcher in his prime and want to remember him as the fat, old and still pretty effective veteran that threw 85. He had consecutive years with the 4 straight cy Youngs where he was 2nd, 3rd, 3rd and 3rd in strikeouts in the NL. He was routinely throwing 92, 93 maybe 94 when he was in his 20s. The 2 seamer placement with that change up wiped people out

He eclipsed 200 strikeouts once in his career and it was 1998 when he finished 4th for the Cy Young.
He threw 268 innings in '91 and 267 in '92. His strikeout totals those years were 199 and 198. In 1993 he finished 4th with 197 K's, 1st was the Big Unit with 308 and he had 12 less IP than Maddux.
Maddux pitched through the steroid era and constantly was tops in MLB in fewest HR allowed and walks. Control, pitch section, and ability to dissect opposing hitters' weaknesses. That's what was great about him.
He will be effective in the Show because his control will be top level and he will have a great pitch mix.
