Anyone else have a team, or teams, that ALWAYS give you trouble in Conquest?

You could be playing on Rookie, Veteran, or All-Star; but the CPU plays like it's Game 7 of the WS and it's on Legend difficulty.

Doesn't matter if it's their starter or their 5th man; they can dot I's and paint corners like their name is Randy Johnson.

Doesn't matter if it's a Diamond infielder or a Common infielder; they make plays like their name is Cal Ripken.

Doesn't matter if it's a Diamond outfielder or a Common outfielder; they channel Mays, Clemente, AND Mantle when they're playing the ball.

Game will ALWAYS go at least 6 innings. And will be won/loss on an error or a hung pitch.

And don't get me started on their pinch hitter who ALWAYS seems to foul off so many pitches that you want to send the next one towards their skull.

Turns out mine are the Angels and the Astros.

I have 3 that i constantly lose to and it takes a lot to eliminate. The Astros (i once lost 5 games in a row to them, the Dodgers and surprisingly the Marlins (they always find a way)

Thats me against Charlie Blackmon. He often homers or doubles so whenever i get him out i celebrate a little.

The Rockies always give me trouble. They especially Blackmon hit against the shift,
The Padres give me trouble as well.

The Rockies, and the players below always seem to get hits no matter where I put it:

    Blackmon
    Dahl
Giants - A. Avellino? Their leadoff guy
    Marlins - J. Alfaro

The cpu is a really good player. He can foul off just about any pitch, has unbelievable plate discipline, can throw dots at will with common and bronze pitchers, and can hit tanks on perfect release pitches in any quadrant in or out of the zone.

The CPU had a 16 pitch at-bat against me, followed up by a 12 pitch. Both ended in walks, super ridiculous.

Let me guess you took a lead in the previous half inning?

On a related note, is anyone else finding first inning runs scarce? I just finished the Father’s Day map and I swear, for a while there, I was hitting two warning track good/good outs every time.

Martin Maldonado 50% of the time hits tanks off me turning into the next Mike Piazza! Conquest is by far the best mode though

The Orioles against John Means at night. He is untouchable, then Dwight Smith pinch hits nukes against me.

Yes to Both! Seems like every perfect or good in the first inning goes nowhere! Lmao thought it was just me, glad at least half a [censored] is experiencing the same!

No it's not just you guys. I've noticed it as well and it's frustrating when the cpu does the opposite in their half of the first.

Against the Yankees, final stronghold... Multiple good/good warning track jobs with Hanley Ramirez and Johnny Bench. One with Willie Stargell...

Still finally won, in 6 innings, but it was Veteran difficulty and wasn't fun by the end...

I get frustrated by the 5 straight batters that foul off 8 straight pitches, and forget who I'm playing. Im sure theres a couple I do bad against most of the time, though.
