Baseball (MLB) should allow left handers for the Catcher position

Believe it's actually the throw to 2nd. Tails towards the 3rd base side of the bag instead of where the tag needs to be on the 2nd base side.

There is no rule against it.
Yeah, that is what I have been thinking this whole time.

Throwing across your body is the only real way to throw with haste and accuracy. It's the reason all infielders except 1st base are right-handed and always will be.
Throwing to 3rd would be impossible to gun someone out -
Just for fun, I made a left handed shortstop rtts player once. The spin throw animations were awesome.

I once sat with a couple of my older friends at a high school game (think 60s and 70s) arguing about whether or not we will see a MLB left handed shortstop. I wish I had recorded it.
Cue a baseball buff who will tell me about a left handed shortstop.
Lefties can't play shortstop because they have to set their feet on a ball in the hole or do a 360. Among other things.

There's no rule. SDS has it coded weird. If you out someone like Griffey behind the plate he magically learns to throw right handed. Quite the feat really.

Right handed catchers fire the ball to first just fine on pick-offs. Why cant a lefty catcher fire over to third the same way?
The risk wouldn't outweigh the reward in most cases considering the high possibility of an errant throw into LF.
-
This is the exception.

There are no left handed catchers in baseball because they would get killed if there was a play at home.

I'm also a lefty who plays on a softball team, it's one of the only positions i won't play.

Or you know getting run over at home.

You are all wrong: Lefties can't play catcher in College or the Pros because they cannot naturally swipe a player heading home on plays at the plate.
Their glove hand is on the wrong side and they would have to go across their body in an unnatural motion beginning with their back to the mound.

I pointed that out, it would kill them. Imagine a close play at home the lefty catcher has to backhand the ball and bang their are run over and you have a horrible collision on your hands.
