Many people will disagree and some may give me an earful, but to me it's Barry Bonds. The man is simply the best hitter of all time in my opinion, despite all that cream and clear. I loved watching that man destroy balls.
I don't like the guy, but Bonds had one of the best eyes & discipline the game has ever had.

Lenny Dykstra. David Cone (pre-yankee years)..

I saw this being discussed in another thread a thought it deserved its own.
I’m a lifelong Cubs fan and loved Mark Grace and Greg Maddux. I followed the Braves closely as well after Maddux left and really enjoyed watching Chipper too. I was lucky to have WGN and TBS available to watch these guys all the time.
FYI, I’m 36.
growing up near chicago, ryne sandberg was a key guy to like. but Frank freakin big hurt thomas my goodness what a specimen

When I was. 8 I saw this rookie on TV sprint down to 1st on a walk. It was Pete Rose. He was my favorite. I also loved the Giants and Willie Mays and Willie McCovey were great and I especially enjoyed the rivalry against the Dodgers
Dang @TEXAS10PT so this makes you 65? You may be the oldest player in this forum. Kudos

Don Mattingly was always my favorite. We didn't have cable when I was a kid so I used to get up every morning and check the box scores in the paper to see how he did the night before
Man, remember newspaper box scores when that's all you could get? Lol

Dave Stieb, Tony Fernandez, and George Bell when I first started getting into baseball in 87. I always liked Joe Carter too, even when he played for Cleveland and killed us every time.
All in all though, its probably Stieb and Alomar.

Will "The Thrill" Clark
Then
Chipper Jones

That is correct brother I am 65. I own an 8-0 RS record too lol. I started playing organized ball when I was 9 (thank you Pete) and stopped playing after I was 37. This game keeps me in baseball after my body said it’s time to quit. Age is only a number lol

Thanks raes. A little known fact is I played high school ball with a couple of really great players. Scott McGregor who won 20 games for the Orioles in the early 80’s and you might of heard of George Brett who is in the HOF. We had probably the best program in the area from the 60’s through the 80’s. Our coach had the most wins in CIF history.. It enabled me to get a free college education. Baseball has been good to me. You never lose your competitive edge no matter how old you get.

George Brett for me
