a day ago@doobiebross66-72 said in HOF start at 600 now??: Fuzzy posted about this on Twitter Their handbook or whatever is inaccurate. It states that HOF doesn’t start until 700 but that isn’t true. HOF starts at 600 Thanks for the twitter info. I just looked it up on Fuzzys Twitter. It reads like it was not intended … but it looks like the OP is absolutely right and I was totally wrong

a day ago@xIAmJumpMan23x Same here … I started way better in the previous years and I just cracked the 500s today. The two main reasons: I am just not focused enough while pitching. Bad input leads to way more meatballs, which cost me most of my games I am not used to the power creep The difference to recent years: It is way more fun for me

2 days ago@MeatSceptre1776 said in HOF start at 600 now??: So has the difficulty changed or am I crazy? Been playing HOF games in the 600’s. The ranking is based on the highest rating the two opponents have. If you faced a 700 guy (which was 100% the case, assuming you are below 700) you will play on HOF. I actually do not have proof, bc I am below 600 but they said it pretty clearly on stream and no one outraged until now

2 days ago@w1ck3dx24 said in Mini season God Squads: Going against some of the best cards in Mini Seasons makes it way more exciting and separates it from Conquest. I get that it sucks trying to grind stats or win playoff games, but you can control the difficulty when you enter. It also gives you a chance to go against some of the top tier cards without much stress or worry. I also agree … I think some people have to get back to enjoy playing baseball. Sometimes you get a challenge, sometimes you don‘t. You may lose one, you may win the next ones … Baseball is not meant to be „win only“ (if that is the real problem behind this thread)

2 days ago@GixxerRyder750 said in Three Batter Minimum?: @RealMessiah_XBL So 3 outs to an inning in a 9 inning game = 1 out an inning in a 3 inning game? No. It is exactly: 9 Inning game: like real MLB, so the pitcher has to face 3 batters per inning. This offsets when the inning ends. So technically you can switch a pitcher with 2 outs, get 1 out with him and have a new reliever starting the next inning 3 Innings: A pitcher only has to face 1 batter

2 days ago@Teak2112_MLBTS said in Anyone playing Events this year?: @GoozeFn said in Anyone playing Events this year?: @w1ck3dx24_PSN Events is just a low pressure 3 inning game stat grind now. You say this like its a bad thing. Closest thing to casual last year was ranked, event being a true casual mode where sweats have little incentive is a great thing. Exactly this … I like to play it to try some cards I have not used (or want to try out) and see how it works. It is 3 innings and it is pretty casual. AND: I do something for the program. As I said earlier: Maybe there should be one win-reward, but I do not mind the way it is rn

2 days ago@JDHalfrack said in How to grind using Diamond Quest: First, it is important to note that even with this method, there is still RNG involved in some aspects of Diamond Quest that can’t be avoided. This mainly includes the number and type of moments or mini bosses that appear, the die rolls, and the random rewards/consequences. The only guarantee is that winning a stadium game will get you a standard pack and losing a stadium game gets you nothing (except earned XP and PxP). The easiest, most straightforward way to grind is to play the White Sox/Phillies DQ and just “beeline” it to the stadiums, forfeiting every moment and mini-boss situation that arises, and then playing the games on Rookie. It takes 9-moves to get to the White Sox stadium and then another 11 to get to the Phillies stadium (you go around the sweeper). Doing this will result in roughly a 10% (give or take depending on the number of skipped challenges) of also winning a ballin’ pack if you win the stadium game. This method takes a little less than 30 minutes to play the two games, and thus, 4 standard packs can be earned per hour, plus a small percentage (I’d say about 30% on average) of getting at least one ballin’ pack. However, for a little bit higher of a percentage to gain ballin’ packs, while also grinding PxP and standards. I actually recommend the following method: First, create two squads. One squad will be your actual PxP grinding squad (parallels, TA missions, whatever you are grinding for). The other squad is your squad used for moments with the DQ. Set that squad as follows: • Your 7th batter needs to be your best, most comfortable batter, and especially against right handed pitching. This appears to be the most used batter in “major” hitting moments. Dodgers TA Muncy is PERFECT for this spot if you like hitting with him. However, his vision (only 50) might cause issues for some people. • Your lead off guy needs to be a fast player who can steal bases and with decent hitting (not excellent) and again, be able to hit mainly right handers. If you’re fortunate enough to have him, live Elly De La Cruz is perfect for this spot. Although, his vision (37) is even worse than Muncy’s! So, for some, this can lead to issues. • Whoever your remaining best hitter is (again.. against righties), put as your #4 hitter. • Make your #3, #6, and #9 hitters fast players (stealing optional). • Fill in your #2, #5, and #8 players with batters you like hitting with (mainly against righties… are you sensing a theme?) that also allow you to have no out of position players on the field. • Your SP can all be used randomly for missions, so make them all good strikeout pitchers you like using. • LRP and CP are the only relief guys used. Make sure they are also really good strikeout pitchers. Once you’ve made both squads, you’re ready to go grind DQ. Make sure you have your DQ squad set as your squad, and go to the White Sox/Phillies DQ. Do the same method as before (beelining to the White Sox stadium), forfeiting minibosses, but this time, you will play the moments. The moments will add an extra few minutes to your overall grind per stadium, but they should be easy(er) to beat with the DQ squad we set up. When you get to the square right the White Sox stadium, do any challenge on that square (or skip it), and then save an exit. Go to your squads and set your squad to the PxP squad, and then go back to the DQ and continue the same quest. Go to the White Sox stadium and win that game. You can either choose to continue the quest or call it good at that point. If you choose to call it good, and you want to then run the same process again, just start start over. If you decide to move onto the Phillies stadium, save and exit, load your DQ squad, go back to DQ and get right next to the Phillies stadium (avoiding the sweeper again). Do, or skip, any challenge on that square, save/exit/load PxP squad, and go back to DQ and beat the Phillies. If you choose this method, in an hour (slightly longer) you can earn around 8 bronze packs (don’t blow those off right now; plenty of high-ish selling bronzes and silvers!), you should also have about a 65% chance of earning at least one ballin pack, and of course, the four standard packs (not to mention a small, albeit a non-zero chance of getting the epic Crochett or Stott cards as well!). Some other strategies: • If you get a ballin’ pack with the White Sox, end the DQ! You already got a 100% chance of getting it, so don’t risk losing it by playing the Phillies! Same goes for the Crochett card. If you get it, quit! Take the rewards! You can sell the Crochett card. • Play the White Sox on All-Star if you have a few positive perks you feel comfortable with. It increases the Ballin’ pack rate by as much as possibly 10%. • Play The Phillies on Veteran for the same reason. • Start your #4 pitcher against the White Sox. It forces them to start Davis Martin. The dude hangs every breaking pitch, and his fastball is pretty hittable. His pitches outside the zone are usually very recognizable right away. • Start your #2 pitcher against the Phillies. This forces them to start Aaron Nola. While not as easy to hit as Martin, for a #2, he isn’t very scary. Hopefully this all makes sense, and some of you find this helpful! Please add more to the strategies/tips as you all see fit! I just want to highlight this awesome post again. I read it yesterday and I somehow did not follow the instructions . So I took my ranked lineup (which has some captain specialities ) and I nearly regretted it … because my long-reliever is a captain filler :). So, if you are trying to get it done … beating all-squares to increase your chances, I advise that you read and follow this post :). Thanks again . Next time I will listen and follow

2 days ago@YOSHI24 said in Another DQ is not good thread…: I just started the first where I will do every square… see how it feels I just finished the Crochet-DQ … I have to change my initial statement a little bit. I did all the squares. I lost some challenges, I won prox 80% of them … At the stadiums, every probability on every difficulty was over 60% (for the Epic) and close to 100 (for the rare, with 97 on legend). I did the Phillies first … on HoF, because it was something around 67% (All-Star 64% if I remember correctly). I won bc of a solo-shot in the 3rd Inning. The second games (same run) against the White Sox, I chose All-Star … and won pretty easily. I got all the epic rewards. Overall: I think, those probabilities could be slightly improved but not that drastically as I first expected. I guess we all have to learn how this mode functions. To me it is just not meant to give you every Epic reward with 20 minutes of time invest. If you take it like this, you get a pretty nice mode where you chose your „sweat level“ like you desire. More sweat equals more chance for reward. I actually felt exactly this when I hit that solo-shot with around 20 packs on the line (I was pretty pumped which does not happen at all during my single player grinding) For game 2 I was actually a little scared to lose everything so I chose the lighter difficulty :). Right now, I am really looking forward to the new quest that arrives on wednesday

4 days ago@yankblan said in No pitch outs so far…: Last year the strategy was once they used up a pickoff attempt and the count was in your favour, you could safely avoid a pitch out. This year, once you draw a pickoff, you can go on 0-2 all day if you want. Haven’t seen a single pitch out yet. I did not have any as of today too

Yesterday I suffered my first forfeit, because I was too slow … The main reason not being able to substitute multiple players at once (I like to use my bench in late innings, so I like to swap in good fielders). But everytime I sub somebody out, the game resumes. I have to go back and do it … Am I missing something or how do you do multiple switches in one „pause session“?

I just saw the „complaints“-Thread (https://forums.theshow.com/topic/74715/my-complaints-about-mlb-25-the-show-so-far/44) …
To me, this is just one-dimensional … there are two sides of the medal …
After 2 near-full-days of playing (I missed the first week) and close to 300K XP … here are my …
The Good:
- I experienced zero fluke homeruns due to bad stadiums (this is my major W)
- Fielding matters … It is helluva fun to experiment a good lineup, weighing out the pros and cons of each player in my binder
- Programs … we got 3 for early access and another one this week (with the next just around the corner).
- TA is (although it is a pretty long grind) very well designed. I only know TA since 21, but this way there is way more focus on each team. The silver/golds are very nicely chosen (and are extremely good for BR-purposes)
- Multiplayer Program: I am (just) at 10 points, but it looks pretty challenging
- Diamond Quest: It is very challenging … you have to focus on each challenge and take it seriously (bc in contrast to the moments in programs there is no restart). I did Schultz/Bazzana on Goat and had a very heavy bunt/squeeze nailbiter. That made it pretty rewarding … I will have to take a few tries and figure out another way
- Ambush … I like that you can gamble with the opponent‘s pitch sequencing …
The Bad:
- Commentary: It is the first time since 21, where I am close to turning it off. It is not just the „base hit to RF“-bug, but it is way too repetitive and just stale
- Menu freezing (I had close to 25 freezes … in 2 days), where I had to restart the app
- You have to pay 1500 stubs for BR although you may never go flawless. Why not 0?
- The attributes in the lineup screens are broken and not correct. e.g. you can switch players out-of-position and they do not get a fielding penalty (at least in the lineup screens)
Overall: Good job @SDS … I am pretty satisfied, although it is just 2 days . My main wish (no fluke homeruns in bad stadiums) is fulfilled
I am pretty interested in your positive things (it is way easier to complain
)

5 days ago@RetroGZY said in the lack of specific rewards for battle royale killed its playability for me: @YOSHI24_XBL i don't agree with this at all. they ruined events and br Fair point. Just to be clear: I am not trying to justify it … Maybe, the ideal world would be a combination of the last few years: Multiplayer program (like 25, so you do not have to play other modes) BR program (like the previous years) Event program with the 12-win-flawless-rewards like in 23 (to be fair: there is still one but it is live series only) But I still like that they are trying to improve things. As I said earlier: It is very dangerous if there is no change. Maybe their intention is to make ppl fokus on the new weekend-league format … Who knows?
-
5 days ago@yankblan They did not create those programs to make ppl finish games … They just realised that winning is not the driving factor, so they took it out. I get it someway … BR is still a nice way to play … everybody has the same level of playing field … build your team and have fun… and earn something (from the MP reward path). That is the intention. The only downside for me: 1500 stubs. But try to look at this from another perspective: What if ppl like to play only with the cards they earned online … they could not get the BR cards. Now everybody can
