Rebranding doesn't work; I had a Mets franchise rebranded to Brooklyn Kings, and could not use 14, 41, 37, 17 and all the rest of the retired ones.
Retired numbers on a rebranded team seems ridiculous; I wish rebranding would eliminate this (or simply an option to use retired numbers or not).
It is the absolute void of any mention of the problems that gets me. Things happen, but it would be extremely nice to know they are at least working on it. Instead...

I fully agree and think it is just "bush-league" to not have an import option, especially after 5+ years on the ps5.
I do think they spend way too much time focused on on-line play, and Franchise is pretty much what it was 8 years ago.

No, it's a bug. That was the bug I was trying to report. I have played since 2009, and this is now 3 straight years it has been missing.
It ALWAYS worked for 14 years or so, and once they went to other platforms, it doesn't show up. They acknowledged to me 2 years ago it is a bug. I just wish they would fix it.
Went to file a bug report about the mini-diamond NOT having runner speed (STILL, this is now the 3rd straight year). It made me re-log in to my MLBTS account and my PS5 account. The bug report was never made (it doesn't seem to be working), and lo and behold I got a surprise...
Stubs disappeared from game (pre-order digital deluxe), and when I fired up MLB 24 The show my stubs were also gone.
3 Tickets later (1 for bug report not working; 1 for stubs in MLB The Show 25; 1 for MLB the Show 24 also losing 58,000 stubs.
My daily doubles are also now singles.
What gives?

Who really gives a darn about the Ban. This is a Video Game, NOT Real Life.
IMO any & all of the banned players should be in the game because again It is a video game purchased by the fans who want to use these players. Which also would include ....Barry Bonds

Just went to the player vault and go him from a search. The person had him all 99, which I disagree with (Rose=99 power, yeah right), so I just edited it to more what I thought he should have.
I've heavily thought about quitting this forum now, but I did get unbanned. I am not even sure why I was banned; made a thread about being excited a certain bug might get fixed; it was deleted; made a new thread about that deletion and tried to "chat" with the guy who deleted both threads. Next time I logged on I was banned.
Sent email and contacted through the report bug thing, no one ever answered and now I am no longer banned. This is some of the most ridiculous behavior I have seen on a forum.
Still have no idea why I was banned or why the threads were deleted. To be honest, ONLY reason I answered is because it was the Owl man asking!
I agree...playing a "Playoffs" tournaments with Legends, and no previous game has every been about 90% caught. That is roughly where I am at now after probably 40 games (running it a second time, which is why so many games).

Also here's hoping for Force 3 catchers gear. There's more than a few players wearing the brand.
I’m curious why is it you’re waiting to start a franchise until every little equipment detail is satisfactory to your liking? Why not start a franchise now instead of waiting for something that may never come? Because equipment when updated is also updated in your active franchise mode.
I'm going to have to spend a few days updating 1200+ players because SDS doesn't put the correct stuff on the correct people. If you do that outside of franchise then you can use that roster file for anything you wish. If you update the players equipment inside of franchise then the edits will only be present inside that one particular save file.
Why is it you need to update every single player most of which you won’t see very much. I find it odd this sort of thing is preventing you from enjoying the game. Why even buy the game if this is the case?

Only one flaw for me there; it is not REAL, it is a video game. Why have real in a simulation? In a way, that is the entire point of the game, to do it YOUR way.

I did not realize that I was not clear about that. I have it set to Guess Pitch w/no feedback. It gives feedback on pitch type (blinking ball) and location (beep sound). If you guess both, and are correct, it makes the strike zone box blink and beep.
In the past, if you chose no feedback, you would get no feedback. None at all, but guess pitch was still working (the way this setting was intended).
Ever since last year when it went multi-platform, Guess Pitch w/no feedback does not work correctly. I have tested all 4 modes of Guess Pitch, the others seem to give you the indicators and confirmation they used to. From what I can tell, it is only "no feedback" working incorrectly, as it gives you feedback on any thing you guess correctly.
I apologize for any vagueness in my original post. It has me so frustrated!

When "GUESS PITCH - no feedback" works correctly I'll be happy. For 2nd year in a row, it is broken.

I went back and installed MLB The Show 20 just to check. I played a game, and sure enough, I used guess pitch and on the "NO FEEDBACK" setting, I received NO FEEDBACK.
I see a lot of people just complain and scream about stuff on here. They don't have uniform fabric that moves, xyz brand is not in my game, they need to stop this or start that. I understand each of these people is frustrated, but the plain and simple fact is that this is the best baseball game simulation (for playing, not just running numbers and simulating) that has been ever made. It captures the hitter-pitcher battles the best, looks incredibly good, and often plays quite well.
The thing I don't understand is why the people who make the game seem to want to greet brand new audiences (which I don't have a problem with), but why do they alienate those of us who have played this game since 2008. I used to do a short, 29-game season to start each year. Fantasy draft, legends, and I would pick a different team just to get used to how the new features work. I played that way for something like 11 or 12 years.
Then March to October came, and they cut out short seasons without ever saying a word about it. March to October is fine for what it is, but again, why do they alienate someone like me who has used the Seasons feature EVERY YEAR so they can include MTO, a mode I won't use, is not baseball for me (it is more of this instant gratification world we live in now) and just isn't fun. Being dropped in during the bottom of the 8th of a game, needing to rally, and then that effects my team's next several games (that I don't play) is just a waste of time for me. I would rather have played each and every inning of those 5 or 6 games. I don't need the brevity that MTO seems to be built for, nor do I like it at all.
I used guess pitch-no feedback since I played. I think it is part of baseball, I enjoy guessing along and figuring out Pitcher strategy, and now it is ruined. It has been ruined since last year, when this game went multi-platform. They have people working on "new content" regularly, but this remains broken for 2 years straight. FIX a feature that is clearly not working right, but had for the previous 10 or 12 years, and suddenly stopped before making "new content" and "live" nonsense. I could care less about any of that.
That is what I mean about feeling quite alienated by this company. By far, the best baseball game ever. It is THE GAME I live my life around when the new one will be released and play it probably 200-300 days out of the year. Seasons was taken out 2 to 3 years ago, I used it EVERY year, and now GUESS PITCH-no feedback does not work as it had for over a decade.
Why do you not care about this player, but are so intent on pleasing new players. I am not demanding anything "NEW" or altered from what it was intended to be, I just want the game to work correctly and two of the biggest things are gone/wrong.
It has fundamentally broken this game for me. I am one of the die-hards, and cannot tell you the disappointment level this brings for me.
