Y2Y saves. Regarding adding managers I think they need some sort of a legal agreement to add them.

Just stick him on your bench and use your imagination.
He will be managing the Midwest Farmers whether he wants to or not.

Has anybody experienced problems with the stadiums they uploaded to the vault? I rebuilt my stadium but I'm paranoid about uploading it after the issues this year.

First of all I love franchise. It's fantastic. Having said that I think most franchise users would agree the mode could use more attention.
https://theshow.com/news/mlb-the-show-25-game-update-7/
Update to March to October is listed under Franchise. I'm guessing the company goes to each developer team and asks for a list of updates.
The question is this: Are franchise developers also working on March to October which began in mlbts19?
Now an opinion
When I look at the forum list I see Franchise with 1,000 topics and 5,000 posts. I see several others with far fewer most notably storylines with 1 topic and 4 posts. Perhaps some of those other modes should be allowed to retire and another developer or two assigned to franchise.

There have been issues but you are being harsh. It's a great feature and it's a great game. It's frustrating but lawsuits and refunds are too much.
-
It used to be easy because you could see the difference between in game attributes and roster attributes. However I just checked in game and there is no difference. Therefore I can't say it has any impact but I don't remember SDS announcing a change and the manager/coaches still have attributes.

@sullivanspring_MLBTS Are you 100% sure it's not uploading? I have found that in games past, you would often get a message declaring that the stadium DID NOT up load, but if you leave the game mode and come back and check the vault, it eventually does. Of course, with THIS version of the game though, anything goes.
That's interesting. I'll check that out. Thanks.

I agree. One of a long list of things that need to be fixed.

Watch the short video. My coaches have a cumulative +2 speed. First base coach and third base coach each are +1 speed. No other coach has a speed attribute. McCarthy is 96 speed. If you stop the video at 1:05 you will see McCarthy has 98 speed. That is proof of the in game impact manager/coach attributes have on players in game. Negative coach attributes also apply in game.
Hopefully this is helpful.

@bleachfro_MLBTS said in Franchise mode player ratings vs advance stats - player evaluation:
@sullivanspring_MLBTS Yes post em. I’d like to see those.
1 - All trades must have equal number of players on cpu team and my team. 1 for 1. 2 for 2. 3 for 3.
2 - Single player trades must be at the same position as the cpu player or a cpu position of need. For example I try to acquire a third baseman from a cpu team. The cpu team has C, 1B, SP as positions of need. I can offer one player who is either 3B, C, 1B or SP.
3 - Multi player trades must include a player on the cpu team's trading block and no additional player can be higher overall than the player on the trading block. For the player on the trading block I can offer a player at the same position or a position of need. For example if the other team's highest rated player on the block is 70 overall then you can only add a second or third player 70 or below. This is to prevent the user team from stealing higher rated players via multi player trades. Again multi-player trades the highest rated player on the other team must be on their trading block.
Second player does not have to be position of need or trading block but if not position of need or trading block then you must include a player at the same postion as the player you are acquiring.
Third CPU player must be either a player on trading block or position of need.
Also I cannot trade away a player on my team with durability less than 50. This dates back many years to when the cpu didn't recognize low durability as a negative. Not fair to CPU teams to do this to them.
Requiring same position or position need ensures the cpu team gets a player they need. Requiring same number of players restricts the ability to rip off the cpu. You can make some trades but you have to give something to get something and there are a lot of players you simply can't acquire as is the case IRL.
I also begin my franchise with the lowest payroll team in the NL Central Low payroll also limits ability to acquire player be it via trade or free agency and I don't trade within the NL Central.

@sullivanspring_MLBTS I think he's a B level manager. I forget what his primary attribute focus was among stamina for starters, contact for batters, base running, etc.
He's also 58. I laugh when I scroll though the coaches and some of them are listed as being in their 60s but they look like their 30s.
I saw him play and hated it when the Cardinals fired him as manager. If he's in the game I'll hire him.

This issue is something that the team is aware of and they're looking into it. Hoping to have more to share soon.
In the meantime, sorry this is how your first experience with the game is going. I know how absolutely maddening that kind of thing can be.
it's good to know you are working on it. Some input from my experience.
It happened to me when I first started playing in a created stadium. The issue was elevation being transposed with capacity. My solution was to completely rebuild my created stadium with correct elevation and capacity and not upload it to the vault. I've played dozens of games since then and no issues.

I turn off as many cutscenes as possible but I do agree with giving back what they took away and for me that's y2y saves.
-
I started my franchise with the first live roster. The mlbts franchise evolves into its own world. I'm not concerned if a few players are missing because after a few years the rosters are populated with a lot of generated players.

@bleachfro_MLBTS said in Haven’t started my franchise yet. Anyone else?:
@sullivanspring_MLBTS Understandable. Everyone is different. I just like to have as many updated player models as possible, especially when it’s top prospects or players from the previous year.
Different strokes for different folks.

@sgoforth3_MLBTS said in Now I understand why Y2Y saves left and have not returned:
I thought it was because they expanded to XBOX and Switch. Didn’t want to deal with changing file types. I think Y2Y encourages me to buy the game each year because my progress continues (don’t need to restart).
A developer who used to work there named Nick said a couple years ago it is doable but would be time consuming. I'm buying the game every other year now so I can get more out of my franchise. For simmers it's probably not as big a deal but I play all my games.
