Just adding to the discussion and hopefully SDS sees this. I have played thru about 6 or 7 years of Franchise. You literally have no control over your rosters when it comes to advancing to the regular season after the Off-season and neither do you have control over your roster when you advance to the playoffs.
Example
The cpu only recognizes higher overalls, so for me it kept adding high overall rookies to my playoff roster but their stats were terrible compared to the veterans I had been using all year. It took 3 of my all stars and moved them to AAA for the playoffs, really???

For spring training it just randomly adds players to your 40 man, you as the player have 0 control over this. Then once Spring training is over, you hit advance to the regular season and your roster is destroyed once again. I really hope they fix these issues. Having no control is not it.
