Hey everyone

Just wanted to say that I don’t know how much I can post here anymore. As of this morning, I have officially reached Prestige Level, and I assume my life is about to change in a big way. I’ve hired a personal assistant and an agent to help schedule my public appearances and autograph signings, and I seriously doubt that interacting with commoners like all of you will be possible from this day forward.

I know you’ll all be tempted to worship me or treat me as some sort of folk hero or deity or perhaps even the second coming of Jesus Christ himself. Totally understandable. But that’s the last thing I want. I’m a regular guy — just like all of you. Except now I’m much better than all of you. But I won’t let it go to my head. I’m way too good for that.

If you want to offer a tribute, please send pictures of available women who are both attracted to and capable of handling my level of celebrity. I prefer Latinas and redheads, but I’m open-minded enough to consider any 9.5+.

It’s been good to know you, but I am certain it’s been even better to know me.

I just had to say goodbye to my best buddy — a little pug named Nestor. I don’t know for sure how old he was, but I adopted him from DFW Pug Rescue back in June 2013. The rescue organization said they had his vet records showing he was 9 years old at that time. Who knows if that’s accurate, but I guess he was anywhere from about 16 to as old as 18.

Nestor has been my copilot through a lot over the last decade. He was the definition of a “velcro pug,” meaning he was never more than a few feet away from me when I was home. I decided to make this post because I needed a distraction and thought about firing up the PS4. But I don’t know if I can. Nestor has been there with me for probably 99% of my MLB:TS gaming over the years. He was there to listen to me complain about the line outs in 19, the defense in 20, the pitching in 21, and the game in 22. Playing this game and hanging out with my dude have gone hand-in-hand for years. The Show without my buddy is going to be a very lonely game.

I would like to encourage everyone to give a little extra hug to the unsung heroes who hang with us through our gaming. Whether it’s a dog or a cat or a lizard that poops all over you all the time, our animal allies are always there to support us. If you have a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket, please consider donating to a local shelter or rescue organization.

But, alas! As has been since time immemorial,
First we would all have to play a pointless 9-inning tutorial.
Finally, the game begins and what do we behold?
Our favorite player has been disrespected with an 82 gold.
Never mind that! Time to get started,
But here comes a server error. O, the broken-hearted!
We load and reload and reload and reload once more,
I swear to God if this doesn’t work I’m throwing my TV out the front door.
Hour after frustrating hour has passed
And by 4 am, we log in at last!
Let’s start easy, we think, with a quick game of conquest
What's this? Somehow the game played better in tech test.
Fielding and hitting and pitching are far beyond broken

Fix this effing game, and we beg you to hustle!
I wanted to be civil, but I have no choice but to break from decorum,
And spend the next 12 months bitching about this game on your very own forum.

When kindergartners act as whiny and obnoxious as you, adults send them into the corner and make them be quiet so they don't keep embarrassing themselves and needlessly frustrating others.

It’s the same reason why we spend 5 bucks on coffee at Starbucks when we can make it at home, or why we hit up a prostitute when our wives are working late, or why we are happy to just defecate in our pants when the bathroom is 10 feet away: Instant gratification is awesome.

All my life I feel like I’ve been chasin tail that never really left me satisfied. I’d wake up every morning with a different shortstop on my squad. I mean I guess I just felt like there was never a need to get serious with anyone because I always fantasized that one day, I would end up with a smokin hot 5-tool Honus in a miniskirt and with legs that don’t quit. And robin, I mean, yeah. Robin’s great. He’s always there in the clutch when I need him. But it wasn’t until he rocked 2 HRs off cy young that I finally saw him for the hot piece that he really is. He was always my guy off the bench. I guess I still thought of him as little Joey Potter from down the creek. But now he’s like Katie Holmes, but before she got Cruised.

He’s still ugly as sin. But his attributes will always be beautiful to me.

I think there is a 0% chance that SDS is employing undercover forum users to convince people to practice more.

In a few weeks when SDS starts handing out FotF choice packs as rewards in conquest and showdown and on featured program timelines, will anyone come back here and admit they overreacted? Probably not.

This is absolutely no different than the old inning boss structure — you get 1 for free and have buy them other two. But people are acting like this is the end of the freaking world lol

I am willing to spend some serious fish to complete the collection if the reward is any of the following:

I am not willing to spend fish of any amount if the reward is any of the following:

1. Derek Jeter
2. Any Cubs

All other cards considered on a case-by-case basis.

You are easily the worst new poster of this year’s game cycle. Everything you say is either factually wrong, completely ludicrous, needlessly aggressive, or a contradiction of something you have already said.

Hands up if you knew exactly what this guy was going to say just from reading the title.

Unlocking FS cards will now take an unreasonable amount of time or an unreasonable amount of stubs. Oh well. I’m glad I got through a few of them while MtO points were much more fair.

Is it just me, or have almost all the headliners been super boring this year? I remember being excited by probably 80% of them last year. But this year?? Jake McGee? Michael Brantley? Matt Wieters? Pablo Sandoval? A bunch of FS lamewads? Uninteresting low-90s dorkwads? I’m just sick of all these wads. On the rare occasion I buy HL packs, I’m actually hoping for LS diamonds and not the headliners.

Better idea: they fix their stupid game.

I wish SDS would listen to this kind of thing, which gets brought up fairly often — especially to cater to people who can’t always find time to play RS. I don’t have kids, but I am the primary caregiver for a disabled loved one. It is not often that I can say with absolute certainty that I have the next 45 minutes to an hour free to play a game of RS. Last year, I suspect probably a third of my total losses came from having to quit out of a game unexpectedly.

Offline is so much easier on people with hectic lives, but it’s unfortunately clear that SDS looks at offliners as second-class citizens.
