Face it SDS doesn't care. There is no reason. A 100% pitch with a 0.00 or even a 0.02 release when you even have the par way off the plate should ever end up down the middle. There is no reason to reward someone for a very late hit when a perfect/perfect is a line out. Not even a good good fly out when your oppent has 7 hits with very late or early timing and is allowed to foul off pitches not even near the zone. SDS says stick skills rain supreme in the online settings, but it's not true. They DO NOT CARE! That's why they took oppent pci placement away in 22. So that people couldn't keep sending them videos and pictures of hits and found balls no where near the pci.

Give us the time back on the pause timer, people aren't griev
ing, we are looking at the other teams bullpen, changing our pci, doing our defensive shifts. I just lost a weekend classic game over the timer and I wasn't griefing. Infuriating, I was actually shaking and losing my composure over a video game. I just want to make my adjustments, it's baseball. I was going to win that game I was trying to make pitching change and it cost me my Donaldson start. People aren't grieving nobody asked for that change, switch it backAbsolutely NOT!!!! People still abuse the pause timer now. It refills 30 seconds until max of 1.5 minutes after every inning not paused now. Before people would intentionally run the timer down until 10 seconds they play and then do it again next inning. If you aren't ready to play then don't enter a game. And if it takes you longer then 10 seconds to make a pitching change or to platoon a hitter you need to rethink your decisions. Finally if you can't hold your bowls until a game is complete then just quit or risk a forfeit.

Hitting attributes that matter.
Power- how hard a ball is hit (in reality actually effects what kind of angle or how often a no doubt animation for a HR will kick in)
Contact- how big you PCI is against pitcher (is affected by pitcher H/9 rating)
Vision- impoves timing windows
Clutch- takes over for contact while runners in scoring position (supposedly only negates the lesser of the 2 between contact and clutch. If contact higher uses that still if clutch then that)
Discipline- matter for check swingsDurability- how often and liking the player will get injured (only matters in offline modes RTTS, MTO, and Franchise) should only be used on live series cards because any other series it is just used to skew the rating of the card. This is why a 91 overall Wyatt only has 70 power and contact against both sides but 99 Durability, because it raises the ending overall rating.
My apologies on the Durability tirade, but seriously SDS knows what they are doing when they abuse it.

@fubar2k7_PSN wierd another offline kid saying he's hitting .300 in hall of fame. You obviously haven't been playing the game, because EVERY content creator out there is saying this exact thing right now. To many good and perfect swings are outs, while just late and late swings are getting the same exit velocity and are hits. You should never have to try and be bad at a video game in order to be rewarded. Not to mention hall of fame in offline is equal to all-star in DD.

SDS says that the reason same handed low and away sliders shrink the pci is because it's suppose to "limit" foul balls. It doesn't especially when people see that pitch and just contact swing so they won't get struck out and foul it off. The real reason is last year they tried to fix it and when they sent the patch out it crashed the game for 18 hours. It's the same why they can't fix anything in the hitting engine. They don't know how without breaking the game.

So just played my first 2 weekend classic games. And I'll start by saying I pushed to get to WS and I usually hang around 800-820 anyways. But the matchups were obviously not as SDS advertised. Both my oppents were at the top end and obviously intentionally stayed out of 900 to sloth the players. It's a bad outlook that has soured the experience. I have no problem loosing when I match up against someone who is 900 rating and they beat me. But people intentionally lost to go to the bottom to snipe rewards it's a bad experience. And SDS is basically condoning it by not matching people against the same ranking as them I.E. tighten the field more. Should be matching against players 0-20 points around me whose highest rating is 0-20 points around me, not the guy who quit 6 games to go to 801 from 898. Then it also needs to be moderated better, both my loses were while winning in the 6th by 5+ runs and then the oppent paused for 60 seconds and then couldn't miss after unpausing. This is sketchy and opens SDS to lawsuits for obviously deplorable player ethics. And yes it is legally actionable because the "STUBS" and "CARDS" I now can't get have a monetary in and real game value I.E. 150k stubs = $99.99 USD.
Now there will be people who come in and say get good. Usually offline players who claim to play on legend on franchise or supposedly a top 50 player who you can't find on the rankings. They're gonna say you lost because you suck and OK cool, but at least I don't lose on purpose or intentionally sandbag my rating because I can't handle actually trying.

Hey don't worry the latest update made it so previous capped live series at 500k now is capped at 750k. You know because people who have 5 ohtani cards because of BR runs or pack luck cried it wasn't fare they could only make 500k. But hey they still haven't fixed the hair lag, coop quit glitch, pci shrinking on breaking pitches, or the fact that perfect hits are outs 30% of the time but being very late is still a bloop double 65% of the time. Stop complaining everyone
-
RNG is more prevalent then ever in ALL DD modes. I've seen players foul off 15 pitches in 1 at bat in 0-2 counts and pitches not even remotely close just to get a very early HR or a very late jam double the opposite way. I've seen and had my perfect hits be 100+ line outs with 100+ power hitters and then watched a 87 moh very early be a no doubt shot. The hitting engine is horrible this year. Then add i. The still prevalent PCI shrinking on sliders low and away or change ups just because SDS can't fix the code in the game without breaking it like last year.
-
@Tylerslikewhoa_XBL actually they have all said it there tool. Apparently you just don't pay attention. They've all said pci shrinking is a bs excuse just because SDS can't fix it. They've all pointed out that the bs random rng on perfects abd goods is broken. One time a good squared is 100 exit velo on a 99 mph pitch. Same hitter same swing same pitch next time is 85. It's because they can't code it. So next time do research before you open your mouth.

SD Studios has no respect for its players time. I’ve done the most recent Diamond Quest 5 times, and have had over 50% chance to get the epic cards every time, with one time being at 63% and another at 70%. I’ve gotten the Ottavino card once, and haven’t gotten the Jung card at all. I hate wasting my time and that’s what this mode is. If I complete the map and don’t get the cards, my percentage should automatically be increased for my next run. Stop making people grind for so long you get one card because the game decides it just doesn’t want to give the card out. Please SD Studios…please start respecting your players time. We’re the ones who pay you f***ing salary.
Soooo I don't think you understand how odds and statistics work. Just because you have a 70% chance doesn't mean it's guaranteed. Also feel like you are probably leaving out alot of information because I played this exact quest twice today. And got each 1 at a time on each play through on Allstar (58% rewards chance) after completing every challange and beating the sweaper. So either A) you are super unlucky or B) you are losing your stadium challenge your rewards. Also the majority or the player base loves DQ. It has been an awesome way to make stubs, packs, and rewards to sell when you do get them.
-
While I agree that SDS has made some shady decisions on using durability to boost a the overall of some cards and then tanking it and throwing those points into actual stats that matter. To go back to all 99 and having 4 releases of the same card is a joke. Game is a month old and we're at 90-93 now. In another month 95-97. They simply need to stop abusing durability on the program rewards and build the card just like they would for a pack wall card. Just to be clear they also abused this stat in the all 99 era as well. You just didn't notice it because even if all stats are 125 the card overall still makes at 99.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN said in my complaints about mlb 25 the show so far:
You cant crush the ball like you could in years past because not everyone has 125 across the board.
Doesn't matter if it's 125 power or not. SDS has said a perfect should result in an out 1-20 times. A perfect is and out 6-10 times right now. Squared up good time is a line out 75% of the time. The perfect hitting and won't admit it. Just like the excuse that sliders away shrink the pci to help strikeout rate. No it's because they don't know how to fix it, because when they tried to in 24 the crashed the game for 24 hours. And before you go "but that's baseball durrrrrr", no this is a video game controls by numbers. The literal CPU is fouling off 42 pitches in a 9 inning game so far this year.
-
@Dinger_Dan19_PSN yes agreed we are but when exit velos on perfect are ranging from 92 to 110 and power rating isn't being a factor we have problems. When a pitch is 95 is squared up and leaves the bat at 92 for an easy line out. Or worse your pci shrinks on a slider even when they hang it down the middle and then you get punished for it with a 81 exit velo on a 13 pci rating is BS. Now don't get me wrong I'm loving the game, but people not admitting there are obvious issues that SDS is not addressing is a problem.

@davisonkj17_PSN said in Grinders Get Kicked In The Nut Sack Yet Again:
@SaveFarris_PSN
Grinding should be defined as actually playing the game to earn a card
Flipping on the market is not part of “grinding”
Therefore he is correct, grinding gets “kicked in the nuts again”You just answered your own statement. You do earn a card by grinding. In fact you earn 2, with a chance 1 of them could be a 98. So you just proved grinders are not being hated. Plus you can repeat a conquest and get a free pack and DQ and get 2 free cards. Sell those 3 and guess what you could by 4 of the other cards you need. Oh my god!!!! SDS basically handing you everything you need to do it no money spent, but because they didn't just give it to you for showing up it's not okay.
-
Hitting is broken anymore. Square up and get a good timing swing with 125 power and it's a fly out with 91 exit velo. Oppent who's record is 70 games below 500 can get a very early HR on a pitch below the zone on an exit velo of 85. This is a video game is ran by broken RNG by a company who claims stick skills rain supreme. This is ridiculous and SDS needs to not only make sure it doesn't happen next year but fix it this year. It's getting old SDS seriously!
-
@BJDUBBYAH don't be jealous it's actually kind of frustrating. You can literally but and get an inside the park HR against these accounts. You don't just wanna quit because then your record gets screwed. So you have to scored 10 runs then strike out the rest of the game tell the bottom of the 4th to get the mercy. It basically just wastes your time. You'd be better of just playing verse CPU on rookie. At least the cpu swings the bat.
-
Lol fan appreciation? The hitting engine is broken, BR is still a luck first skill second mode, freeze offs and players intentionally lagging games and freezing them for wins is still prevalent. Co-op you can quit out of a game and you get the win. Who is be appreciated? I mean the guys who can go 10-0 and get ohtani and hold them are now since SDS raised the live series cap to 750k.
-
@Nauracy34 the stubs and sellable cards doesn't really help, because if they are NMS and now they get free stubs and sellable reward cards. Now your giving extra and basically punishing anyone who didn't have thier account deleted. But I do agree that they the xp match is fine. They can however track and know what each and every player account currently has/had for packs and cards in game. Proof by knowing exactly who discovered what card first. And yes some for of compensation is needed.
-
Well you should do whatever you want. Selling Judge to complete cheaper live series normally wouldn't be a bad idea. This year however prices aren't dropping. You have to collect EVERY live series to complete the collection. So again you should do whatever you want, but this year I would advise that if it is your only Judge to not sell.
-
I've had enough. I'm done with this BS game. Play and have an oppent fould off 17 pitches every inning then get either a very late blooper or a very early extra base hit on pitches that aren't even strikes. Then I swing and get a good squared up line out. Then repeat next inning again with the oppent. I threw 49 pitches in 1 inning and my oppent swung at 38 of the pitches and had 27 fouls. Your gane is broken and you can't even admit it and keep saying everything is working as intended. If 25 plays like this I will find a business lawyer and file a lawsuit against your company for false advertising. I'm done with your [censored] SDS.
