I’ve said this in another thread, but I’m so upset about it that it bears repeating. It really does feel randomized! I feel like no matter my timing or my contact, I’m at the mercy of the game.

@fubar2k7_PSN that has nothing to do with the hitting being bad this year I don’t care about 2k

You mention 2k. I assume that’s what you’re saying in that jumbled whine-a-thon. I’m hitting a little over .300 in my franchise on Hall of Fame.

I'll agree that hitting this year appears to be from the black bag filing cabinet...however I'm not struggling to score runs...small ball. Grounder up the middle, steal, bunt to move him over, score on sac fly. I am finding though that the direction of the batted ball appears to be nonsensical and entirely random...I'm shooting balls oppo field on early swings, and pulling on late swings

People asking for every perfect swing to be a hit do not make sense to me. Is SDS supposed to code the ball to change the path it was supposed to take if the swing was perfect? That should not even be considered. These people just need to understand that there is a skill on the pitching side too and if a perfectly timed swing is an automatic hit, pitching would become irrelevant.

There’s a new one I’ve seen 3 times this year on P/P: a lineout to the OF that goes parallel to the ground all the way through. Weird “physics”

Several times I've noticed that after swinging, my PCI shows it hasn't moved from the preset location in the small window in the bottom left hand corner but I know I've moved my bat during the swing!

I haven’t experienced this at all. It feels like the exact same hitting engine as last year. Sure, it’s a bit different using golds and low diamonds rather than maxed out captain boosted 99’s with max elevation, but it’s the same hitting engine.

I've seen this once or twice, but not frequently enough for me to think it's a bug. I just chalk it up to feedback hiccup

@fubar2k7_PSN wierd another offline kid saying he's hitting .300 in hall of fame. You obviously haven't been playing the game, because EVERY content creator out there is saying this exact thing right now. To many good and perfect swings are outs, while just late and late swings are getting the same exit velocity and are hits. You should never have to try and be bad at a video game in order to be rewarded. Not to mention hall of fame in offline is equal to all-star in DD.

@Papaboon_MLBTS If you hit the swing button, before you move your PCI...this will happen. I do it all the time where my right thumb works faster than my left.

A perfect perfect would be a hit 100%of the time if there wasn't 7 1/2 fielders out there waiting to try and catch it.

I was just explaining why he lost me when he brought up 2K sports version of baseball. They couldn’t even get uniforms correct. I’d have players come back from the All Star game with different uniform numbers. Doubt they’d have a better hitting engine.
