The card art is fine, whatever, but this change to how player names are displayed is the most ill-advised decision I've seen. SDS, please give back normal names for lineups, box scores, etc. I've always played this game for the realistic immersion (as much as a game can), but with this move, as RedTurn2 steps up to the plate, I feel like I'm playing a childish middle school bootlegged knockoff. If I wanted to play Super Mega Baseball, I'd buy that.

Honestly, the scariest and most ominous thing to me is that the decision makers at SDS seemingly no longer understand what has historically made this game great..

Exactly right. Former math teacher here. Probability is hard for many to intuitively understand. Which is why it is so profitable for game makers.

Let's say you have 1 in 500 chance of diamond. You have 500 packs and you open 499 packs and get nothing.
What are your chances you get it in your last remaining pack? Guaranteed? Surely at least you'll have better than average odds, right??

Nope. Your last pack is still just a 1 in 500 chance.

I thought the whole point of Team Affinity is to reward players for their fandom of specific teams. It's called "team affinity" after all. Captains for theme teams are a great addition this year, imo.

SO why oh why, SDS, is the Finest 99 Jhoan Duran our Twins reward, when our last Twins pitching captain is also Jhoan Duran?! What motivation is there for me to get this card if it will mean my theme team now goes without a pitching boost?

He's a great deserving player, but he already has an essential team card. And there were so many other deserving Twins players who don't have 99s. Beyond disappointing and the personal last straw for me; I'm speaking mainly about the lack of intentionality and forethought given by the creators, which really applies to the whole year. Not getting the game next year.

Another example he said when cars get recalled how does it happen ? Because numerous amount of people complain about the same exact thing of the vehicle having issues and then the the NHTSA investigates it and then sees there is a issue with the vehicle then gets recalled. Same thing here I’m not sure who investigates gaming companies if it becomes an issue but yeah he said at this point so far it’s a defective game.

Good point. All the more reason to keep submitting your tickets when it crashes and describe the circumstances under which it did so. I really hope they fix it soon because I just want to play the game without fear of wasting 40 minutes for it to crash in the 8th inning.

I use both Twins captain Buxton and Twins Live Series Nathan for pitching. May not be the best squad by the numbers, but it's not bad and simply the most fun for me as a fan. Eager to get more Twins cards as the year goes on.

Not completely removed! I actually managed a 9-3 putout once this year. I was shocked. It was probably pretty flukey; I’ve never figured out why my player at first base was so close to the bag that once. Ran to the base and I think actually tagged the runner? But indeed the game recap logged a 9-3.

I’ve been having it happen pretty much every Play CPU game since the 4th update. At least six attempts and six crashes in the late innings - very frustrating. It’s the main thing I do so it looks like I may have to just set the game aside until they fix it.

Welp. Had success in a game so I thought issue might me fixed, but just had two in a row crash on me in 7th inning. I am BEGGING you SDS to at least let us know you’re working on this and when the issue is fixed so we aren’t wasting our time this way. Absolutely terrible experience right now.

Please SDS, let us know you’re working on this. It’s been almost a week since it appeared in last Wednesday’s update. Obviously problems happen but this is getting ridiculous. I feel like this should be an “all-hands-on-deck” problem.

This game is so frustrating. It’s always 2 steps forward, 3 steps backward with these guys. The gameplay is better (at least it was to start the year), but now we have a manipulated market, giant jellyfish monsters hovering over the batters eye, and little league nicknames. To quote Aaron Boone, “tighten it up!”

Still crashing for me on PS4 on the Vs. Computer games. Always seems to be at the transition between innings

The game has crashed twice for me this afternoon, once in a play CPU game and once in a moment. Haven’t had any crashes before today

In Vs. Computer basically when you get to the 9th your game just hard stops. It’s not disconnecting from the internet, the game just closes. Each console has a different error message. It was happening to me in Conquest as well but seems to ah e stopped, though another player said today how is still doing it in conquest too. I haven’t played mini season in 2 days but it was crashing there as well and one player on here said it did it during one of his moments in the new MA program. That one I haven’t been able to replicate but I doubt doubt it. Vs. Computer is the worst because you play 8 innings trying to get points for missions or XP and then it just closes so you basically just wasted the time for that full 8 innings

What I have been trying to do, and it's annoying trust me, is playing 3 innings or getting the required ABs to get PXP and then quitting before it crashes. Mine only crashes in between innings so I hold my breath each half inning.

Im successful like 75% of the time right now. I still get crashes as early as the 2nd inning. But at least I'm not wasting my time 100% of the time. I wont go past inning 3 anymore until they fix this.

The fact they haven't fixed it yet, before the weekend, before all the new contennt drop, is beyond absurd.

This describes my experience perfectly.

I just had a game crash playing Rockies 9-inning vs. CPU. Super frustrating. Happened around 7th inning or so. I updated this morning before the crashed game.

Well I wanted to provide a positive update. Played all the way through the Mariners conquest with no crashes. Decided the game must be fixed. Did a play Vs. Computer game, got the the 9th inning trying to get points for Topps Now, Mexico City and Monthly Award guys and…. It closed. This is ridiculous at this point.

Arrgh. That's so frustrating to hear. I was just about to try a game again, but seems still not worth it. It'd be nice if SDS would at least acknowledge the problem so we know they're working on it. I guess we just keep submitting tickets each time it happens..

They can't take it away after it was explicitly promised. I made decisions on whether to lock in cards, which has real value, before the season started based entirely on that statement. I'm sure they're still working on it.
