Not completely removed! I actually managed a 9-3 putout once this year. I was shocked. It was probably pretty flukey; I’ve never figured out why my player at first base was so close to the bag that once. Ran to the base and I think actually tagged the runner? But indeed the game recap logged a 9-3.

@Blackheim2000 That's true, good point. I guess I took the comment of @Redd666ish_PSN to be more that Byleven is the only one in the game with a Twins card / only one that gets a Twins' captain boost, which is a fair point. All the more reason to have been considered for a Chili card.

The 99 Joe Nathan: I've been especially waiting for him all year. And of course, the 99 Torii Hunter too.

I would still give (and love to see) a Correa finest. Not his best year offensively, but his defense was still incredible to watch. And his bat actually did heat up in the playoffs!

But I have been loving the 97 Castro card. And I second Michael A. Taylor too.

Are we definitely even getting new cards and programs for Set 6? Or is that just an, "all cards work" season, with no new content?

I thought the whole point of Team Affinity is to reward players for their fandom of specific teams. It's called "team affinity" after all. Captains for theme teams are a great addition this year, imo.

SO why oh why, SDS, is the Finest 99 Jhoan Duran our Twins reward, when our last Twins pitching captain is also Jhoan Duran?! What motivation is there for me to get this card if it will mean my theme team now goes without a pitching boost?

He's a great deserving player, but he already has an essential team card. And there were so many other deserving Twins players who don't have 99s. Beyond disappointing and the personal last straw for me; I'm speaking mainly about the lack of intentionality and forethought given by the creators, which really applies to the whole year. Not getting the game next year.

Feel lucky to be able to see Royce play too!, maybe, hopefully!

It was at Blockbuster video. It was late at night in 2000 and I stopped by to pick up a movie. I noticed him because he was in Baseball America so I chatted with him a bit. He was very nice and humble. He was with Michael Resrovich. He was like this guy is gonna be a big star about Restovich.

That's incredible! What a great story. Yeah he was always one of my favorite players growing up, just humble and down to earth. I loved stories from other players about how he would always be doing magic tricks in the clubhouse.

Exactly right. Former math teacher here. Probability is hard for many to intuitively understand. Which is why it is so profitable for game makers.

Let's say you have 1 in 500 chance of diamond. You have 500 packs and you open 499 packs and get nothing.
What are your chances you get it in your last remaining pack? Guaranteed? Surely at least you'll have better than average odds, right??

Nope. Your last pack is still just a 1 in 500 chance.

Truly brilliant. I vote for just reversing the K in “Koo” as the best option.

Topps Now Edouard Julien. Absurdly low vision hasn't been a problem at all; he has my highest slash line right now.

I really hope we get a 99 Torii Hunter for the Twins. I always despair when his only 99 goes to the Angels...

Byron Buxton. Hoping for an updated Buxton Twins captain eventually, but until then, I guess he's my wild.
