Very small gripe on Incog. names

Not just that but I was playing the event and went to my bullpen and because of the nicknames I had no idea who was in my pen. Felt like a [censored] it took me forever to pick a reliever.
-
Looks horrible and it’s dumb I don’t know many of them

I Agee. It would be one thing for the announcers to refer to them that way (as long as it isn’t every at bat like Muncy), but they should not be in the box score or market that way. Half of these names are so obscure that I have no clue who they are by the nickname.
I love Max Muncy, but I HATE it when the announcer says "that funky Muncy." I never hear that nickname when I watch him play baseball. Every time Muncy comes up I fear that he will say it. Does anyone enjoy it?

I don’t like it. Their names aren’t on the back of the jerseys or on the scoreboard either.
Oh they're not??? Didn't notice that

I had Story in my lineup, and I'm like who the F is True lolol
I thought it was a glitch

This was also done in the MLB during the "Players' Weekend" during the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons. Their chosen nicknames (where SDS got many of these names, by the way) were on their game-worn jerseys, up on the scoreboard, and announced by the announcers (both at the ballpark and by radio/TV announcers).

Weekend is one thing this seems permanent for these cards

You won't have to worry after August!

This is full-on cartoony, arcadey muppetry. I am often accused of being an SDS apologist, but I won’t mince words on this one. SDS — this is the dumbest thing you’ve done in years. Truly awful. I feel like I’m playing Super Mario Baseball Galaxy or whatever. And now if I want to buy a card on the market, I have to learn stupid nicknames? Good grief. I’m playing showdown right now and it’s “The Cat Man” on the mound vs. “Chicken Man” at the plate. I mean… come on.
This game is so frustrating. It’s always 2 steps forward, 3 steps backward with these guys. The gameplay is better (at least it was to start the year), but now we have a manipulated market, giant jellyfish monsters hovering over the batters eye, and little league nicknames. To quote Aaron Boone, “tighten it up!”

Well said

This feels like the madden “AKA” cards. I’m not a fan at all. Seems very corny to me but I’m not 14 so I might not be the targeted audience.
-
These cards might as well be CAPs, I was using Chili Dog earlier and a lot of fans wouldn't even know who Chili Davis is.
-
I just want to know if you can use the AL East Collection Mantle and the Commerce Comet in the same lineup because there are two different names.
-
At work rn. Can't wait to see this fookery with my own eyes.
Did Singy accidently call Boggs 'Chicken-ish Man?' Not home to check 🤪 -

Well said x2. I’m fine with creative license on card art but when it starts impacting game play ( Godzilla in centerfield for kajuii) it’s beyond irritating. FFS I was playing online and at the end of the inning due up listed 3 ,, not even nicknames. If I wanted arcade I’d play super mega baseball. I’m waiting for a Battle Royale game to bust out the next time I boot Halo.
Do better SDS!! -
Agree, this is beyond childish!
They should give us the options in the settings or something -
They really missed an opportunity here,
they should have made the Damon card a Captain(though there's probably licensing issues with that) would have been awesome. -
I would hope the next update fixes this screw up

I just looked at my last RS box score, and I had RBI's by K., P. and T. Insightful.
