Well you posted in the Diamond Dynasty section of the forum, so you're probably looking in the wrong place if you want to avoid DD posts. Just change the filter from All Categories to any of the other categories if you want to see the other sections' posts. The RTTS and Franchise ones are usually good value. Gotta say the simple switching between custom button profiles is simply awesome - have set up three profiles with R2 as the swing button - power, normal and contact hitting (plus default) and switch between them mid plate appearance at the tap of their swing button (whilst holding the function button). That feature alone makes it worth the extra spend.

Highly recommended.

Starting to get super annoyed with the ridiculous CPU plays in RTTS. I've mostly avoided RTTS since TS20. I know it's always had an issue with creating plays for the RTTS player just because, but this year it seems beyond crazy.

As an outfielder - waaaay too many runners tagging up to take 3rd on a fly out.

As a first baseman (this is where it's just plain insane):

• Inappropriate bunting: biting my tongue to this point... then top of the first vs Yankees, 2 out; then one after the next: Chapman bunts to 3rd for a single 1 RBI, Bellinger (yes, Bellinger!) bunts to catcher for a single, Wells bunts to pitcher for 3rd out.

• Inappropriate steal attempts: waaaay too many runners with below 40 speed attempting to steal 2nd. I used to RTTS as a catcher back in TS20 and this was prevalent then).

• Absolutely ridiculous turns at 1st: batter hits a single to right, the runner from either 1st or 2nd is going to score (that's fine), I get the QTE cutting off the throw and most of the time am unlikely to get an out at the plate but I know the batter is going to 2nd 100% of the time and sure enough the batter takes the turn at 1st and heads to 2nd. Sometimes I get the out, sometimes not, but that batter simply has no place attempting to get to 2nd. There is no situation in real life that would ever happen (without the batter being benched the next game anyway).

I've just installed update 7 so there may be some improvement but I'm not holding my breath... all of these seem like they happen so that my RTTS player gets some fielding opportunities, however they are laughable and just detract from the game's realism.

What is the experience of other RTTS players?

How do you find it goes with check swings - seems with X sometimes I put my finger through it and it calls it a check swing, other times all I have to do is think about pressing it and it calls it a swing. This has been the case for years for me. And it’s not dependent on which player either - I’ve exclusively played RTTS this year.

If R2 is more consistent I’m making the switch immediately!

Here's the sim screen info I was referring to. My starting overall is 60, my current is 67 but it then says my current overall is 53.

From memory, 53 was what my OVR was when I started in AA in the current year (promoted to MLB just before all star break).

I’ve noticed that the ‘tutorial’ type info on the sim screen says my OVR won’t go below 53, even though it says 68 or something on the screen behind it. Or something like that. I wonder if it’s just simming from the player’s starting attributes for the year instead of the current attributes, now that both are stored.

Why was your team deducted a run in the last few innings?

Are you saying a perfect/perfect hit resulted in a pop up? That sounds like it deserves a bug report. That shouldn’t happen.

For what it's worth, in RTTS it's showing league leaders (eg HRs) and projections

'Non-user-controlled at-bats' could mean anytime the user isn't controlling the pitcher in a non-simulated game. eg if the user is batting, or is player locked as a baserunner or fielder.

@genopolanco_PSN a month is not a long time in the world of software development, especially the first month post-release. I too hope the things you mention are fixed (CPU base running is dreadful and unrealistic but I don't think that one's going to go away) but unfortunately we can't expect them to be fixed in one month unless they were already on the to-do list.

Agree - the goals are not working correctly a lot of the time. A real shame given it is the backbone of the RTTS upgrades.

As a CF In high school or college I didn't even reach halfway for both of my goals - BA and OBP or SLG - can't remember which. I hit so badly and it said I achieved them.

Also when I reached the majors for ARZ (just before the All Star break in my first season... another issue) with an OVR of 65 and was starting CF (despite three other players on the team being a better fit), before my very first game my goal was to get a hit. The goal screen said it was an active goal and I had 2/1 hits... then on the loading screen before my first game it triggers the completion popup.

Also not related to goals but half of the time the RTTS care package drop is skipped over and I don't receive it. I assume it's because servers are down at the time

I'm still quite enjoying the RTTS experience - feels way more immersive than ever before and the perks system is 1000% better than the last few years - but there are lots of little things that are spoiling it. And based on past experience with other 'little things' in RTTS such as these not being fixed over years (eg relationships screen records twice as many 'games with' and 'games against' as actually played since it was implemented seven games ago), I'm not optimistic.

@dead-weight9231_xbl maybe try again - tried both just now and told I was a winner each time, and the 'Jomboy Media' and 'Locked On. Your Team. Every Day.' packs are in my inventory.

I can't say I've experienced that (I don't pay attention to the text on the screen, but I'll look out for it now) but it would certainly need to be addressed, along with the 3B coach standing there doing absolutely no coaching at all at times - just as frustrating!

@Player99_MLBTS People have been complaining about the graphics since at least 2014 when the first PS4 version of The Show came out. Doesn't matter what improves in a game (and especially if the game spans multiple generations of console), that's the hill that some people choose to die on just for the opportunity to be negative.

Reminds me of the time I was playing Madden 97 with a friend on Sega Genesis and he broke through my defence on his way to a game winning runaway touchdown in the dying seconds; totally in the clear and 10 yards out there was a cracking sound and his guy stops, a message pops up on the screen saying he suffered a broken leg.

The best commentary in the game (haven't heard Ro Flo so his might be better) is Gellman in my opinion. Yes it's him and only him but there seems to be a good breadth of lines, he doesn't overdo it, he inflects very well and they throw in the ads which are hilarious. My favourite ad is still the Bidet.

@Tandil1368_XBL I don't know if I'd agree that it's getting worse, but I agree with your sentiment that the game should be recognising the previous year. Kills the immersion when little things like that happen.

So after playing through the CWS, I gotta say that promoting JM's commentary in the CWS as a feature was more of a stretch than Jose Altuve doing a standing dunk.

I must have heard her voice in-game a total of about seven times in two trips to the CWS - and three of those times were the same line across three different games.

What was everybody else's experience?
