Reminds me of the time I was playing Madden 97 with a friend on Sega Genesis and he broke through my defence on his way to a game winning runaway touchdown in the dying seconds; totally in the clear and 10 yards out there was a cracking sound and his guy stops, a message pops up on the screen saying he suffered a broken leg.
Best ending to a game ever!
I have a feeling that she only recorded a few dozen lines.
The best commentary in the game (haven't heard Ro Flo so his might be better) is Gellman in my opinion. Yes it's him and only him but there seems to be a good breadth of lines, he doesn't overdo it, he inflects very well and they throw in the ads which are hilarious. My favourite ad is still the Bidet.
@Tandil1368_XBL I don't know if I'd agree that it's getting worse, but I agree with your sentiment that the game should be recognising the previous year. Kills the immersion when little things like that happen.
So after playing through the CWS, I gotta say that promoting JM's commentary in the CWS as a feature was more of a stretch than Jose Altuve doing a standing dunk.
I must have heard her voice in-game a total of about seven times in two trips to the CWS - and three of those times were the same line across three different games.
What was everybody else's experience?
I logged this as a bug report back in 2020 (at the time I didn't know the cause because I was much further into the season) and probably in 2021 and 2022. Here is my original forum post (in addition to the bug report I did).
RTTS relationships was doubling games with/against other players.
It is still happening seven iterations later - Clip from TS26.
I am two games into my TS26 RTTS pro career. Both my team and the opposing team for the first two games have four games with/against players.
Now can't log a bug report as I get a 'too many redirects occur' error 
Perhaps it was considered as not important because the actual relationship progression is suitable and just the numbers are wrong, so redoing the numbers might mess up the actual progression.
Just annoying though
@HelloThere66506_XBL sorry I should have clarified. Disappearing baserunners. So in my example the game had legit reasons (thrown out, CS) but it just didn’t communicate it very well.
I’ve yet to see gifted runs, but haven’t looked for it.
I’ve noticed this several times, after the first few times I checked the game log, nothing obvious in there - but in one case only one out in an entire half inning for example, with a hit and a walk.
So I viewed the captured gameplay. Turns out runners caught stealing aren’t always shown in the game log and barely shown in the sim screen. The sim audio is all messed up - a lot of plays don’t have sound effects play.
I check the game log again and notice one of the runners which was unaccounted for in the sim was thrown out 9-2 on a hit, but it didn’t say in the log he was out. It just had Smith hit to right for a single (9-2).
I also have experienced my RTTS player having a plate appearance simmed in the sim screen for no reason. That was in college. I hope that doesn’t continue into pro ball.
You guys sensed the sarcasm, right? Was just having a bit of fun - I even used the word ‘hyperbole’ 
In the RTTS menu in high school when the player is in their bedroom, the computer screen shows a graph with the title "This years stats" instead of "This year's stats".
I can't believe this got past QA testing and has been released. Same game as last year with nothing new, in fact, there are fewer apostrophes. I'm going to cancel my credit card. Insert more nonsense hyperbole here.
This is a far cry from years past! I remember having an RTTS catcher and the game was so desperate to give me CS opportunities that it sent Willians Astudillo a few times. Caught me so off guard he made it halfway to second before the ball got to the base!
Anybody else experienced the ‘Bad Boy Bidet’ call out in Gellman’s RTTS minor league commentary?
Every now and then he promotes a business, which is an awesome touch to make the commentary more authentic. This one is an absolute classic. Or a stinker, depends on how you look into it (although probably best not to).
None of the sources seemed to mention the goal setting aspect of RTTS - which seems to be a significant addition to help make the mode more engaging.
At least he didn’t say “your parents’ credit card” I guess

And that's the thing - all three of those things can be set by the administrator and people can opt-in to a league that suits them.
I think the option for CPU teams is a great idea - the league members can agree on how many; it's a great way to participate in the league and play meaningful games whilst between games with other members.
Custom Leagues is a great concept because it caters to both card collectors and those wanting a realistic competition with live players.
Well-managed leagues have been very successful and they are the ones calling for leagues to be improved - not for Online Franchise to be back in its previous format but instead for the many bugs that have been around from the beginning (and some introduced since) but also for improvements to the mode such as a draft (that is the ultimate), minors or injuries.

You’re right franchise players are paying more money in 2025 to not have an extra mode that was once in the game at a cheaper price. That’s a scam for us.
Realistically the only version of the game that could be considered scamdalous is TS18 where players only found out online franchise was gone after buying or preordering the game.
I think that’s what happened, maybe I’m confusing it with season mode though which disappeared in the same year unannounced. I feel like maybe they announced OF being missing before release but after the backlash.
Franchise players aren’t paying more for OF to be missing. They’re choosing to paying more annd expecting all of the additional modes and gameplay updates and improvements and what not.
If anybody has paid for The Show since 2019 expecting to play Online Franchise, that’s on them.
And Custom Leagues was a great addition to the game, back in 2020. Unfortunately it hasn’t evolved since, bugs and all.
Looks like with the inclusion of goals, call up is a product of both performance and attributes. Thats how they’re presenting it anyway. It may not yet have been programmed that way. We shall see.
Good summary. Going from the clip they seem to be pretty solid improvements and a good incentive to try out RTTS if not played for a while.
It also mentioned that potential caps at age 25. That may impact on a bunch of things too.
