Worried again about how other people dedicate their time I see. Coming here just to post about that is even more sad than actually putting 30 hours a week in. In my humblest opinion, of course.

There was no excitement to begin with. This game hasn't improved in 6 years, doubt next year will be any different. Will still play tho, because you know.. baseball.

Finding a lot of GOD batters in the low ranks lately. Last year didn't seem to have this issue.

Why are you running into good batters in the lower ranks? Because the game has only been out a week. Give them some more time to climb out of the lower ranks.

I think you are underestimating the amount of desperate people who go to any length to get a significant advantage for a minor investment. Call of Duty proves this more than anything. Coincidentally, Activision just rolled out new anti cheat software across all platforms today to detect and ban Cronus users. Which is evidence that the problem is in fact much much larger than people might assume.

Am I the only one who doesn't care one but who'll be on the cover? I'd prefer them to save the resources and hire some quality devs instead to code an enjoyable game. That being said, if I'd have to bet money I'd say it's Julio.

Probably true. Stil prefer them to put the focus on the things that matter, which is most definitely gameplay.

No one who does the cover would have anything to do with gameplay, shout out to the art department bc they'd be the ones doing the cover.

The executives have a strategy and a plan for this franchise as a whole, it's not just a band of "art department" employees and a different band of coders, believe it or not.

Nope, I work just about every department in my store, I'm not nitpicking, you have every right to gripe about the state of the game, but griping just to gripe (which is what we have here), is silly.

And just to show you why I say that, griping just to gripe is taking every opportunity, even stupid ones like a cover athlete that has no effect on the gameplay, and turning it into your crusade.

One more say on this. I've met some of the most amazing people with this job, you may thumb your nose and look down on them, but we have some hard-working friendly people that I count myself lucky to be able to know them.

Nobody should ever look down on a person making an honest living, no matter what they do. Where I'm from, people would always tell us to go to school and learn a profession, because you don't want to end up collecting garbage. But without people who collect our garbage, our society falls apart real quick. Without people in supermarkets who put food on the shelves, we will starve real quick. There's nothing more honorable than making an honest living and providing for your family by any means neccesary, regardless of what it is you do. We weren't all born to be presidents or CEO's.

I don't care about the cover at all, but putting a guy like Jazz on there shows the level of poverty this franchise has become. Sorry not sorry.

According to CBrev the issue is much more complicated than that, my guess is that they're either looking for a NASA engineer to help out or contract a quantum physicist to settle the seemingly impossible affair.

Because they needed to do something drastically different to remain interesting. Because the truth is that this game has become stale and boring, given the fact that it's been the same for years and years. Little did they know that this change would actually make the game even more stale and boring.

Sadly, I feel like all sports game are in a bad place. The Ultimate Team concept has corrupted studios and developers who used to care about sports and gaming as much as their customers do to a formula where all that matters is making more money. And it shows.

Good question, it's a huge time sink for a pretty stale gameplay experience.

I feel for you because it sucks and these people don't deserve to be able to play online, they should be perma banned.
That being said, SDS isn't gonna do anything about it and they might even ban you from this forum because posting someone's user tag is against TOS. Might wanna consider editing it out, or if you don't care leave it there.

In that case some of us will never make it to 900.

Edit: if you don't want to play on HOF, why don't you just tank your rating by quitting out of 10 games in a row?

I am very happy with the inclusion of the Negro Leagues, but I haven't seen Josh Gibson? Did I miss something in their reveal or will he be a guy for next "season" as they described it?
