I’d really like to see these moments on HOF and Legend because these are “supposedly” on Rookie and Veteran.. I’m a decent player that makes CS every season and these moments are beyond frustrating.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed your win. I’ve never experienced this level of cheese before.. he threw Sale with a severe sun glare on the batter’s eye at Camden... the arm angle made it impossible to see the ball... basically you just had to guess if the pitch was going to be a strike and swing blindly.
He then followed up with Diamond Ottavino and his 3/4 hitch delivery from the other side to get himself the win in extra innings.. also couldn’t see anything facing him.
I just don’t understand how playing this way is enjoyable..? Why not try and improve your skill level the right way by practicing instead of taking advantage of game exploits which ruin the game play entirely?

I like Bayfront, at night, any month, overcast skies..

Your understanding is correct. Also, BS move by him to not turn off his PS4. Down 6-1 you should give the other guy the W IMO
Yeah, I’ve been playing my original NES a lot more lately and can stream Netflix or whatever on my Roku so hopefully he’s prepared to not use his ps4 for a long long time. I’m a hard headed Slovak and now I’ve decided to see this one out until the end.
Just worries me a bit that I could fry my PlayStation but I’m sure hardcore gamers have left theirs on for days at a time so I’m probably ok.

Just watch out for Server Maintenance. If they end up doing maintenance while your still in the freeze off you'll both lose connection and a few things can happen:
- The game never counts.
- One of you randomly get the loss.
I know that you're winning and the team losing, unless they have a chance at coming back, should quit; but it's been going on for longer tgan a few hours. Imagine how many more points you could've gained, even if you quit out while winning.
Oh it’s not about the Ranked Seasons points, or my record, it’s just principle now.
I just think it’s hilarious that I found the one dude that’s as hard headed as I am, and then I manage to get into my first freeze off in over a year.. lol.
-
I’ve found that I have much more success at HOF level when I take as many pitches as I can and then try and pick up on my opponent’s pitching tendencies.
I am not skilled enough to purely read and react to pitches when they’re coming in at that speed (plus you’re nearly always dealing with facing the best arms in the game) so I try and level the playing field by getting into the mind of the opposition.
By the 4th or 5th inning I usually have a good idea of what the other guy is trying to do so I’ll start cheating my PCI towards certain locations in the strike zone.
I get super frustrated a lot of the time playing at the HOF level but I’d much rather play good players at ramped up pitch speeds because ultimately I feel like it helps me improve my own skill set.

Pretty sure I played this same dude a few days ago
When I tried messaging him to congratulate him on his troll win of course he had messages blocked.. big surprise.
Like I said though, I just don’t understand the enjoyment of playing like that..? I’ve been playing since 17 and have progressively gotten better and better as the years have rolled on.. I sure didn’t improve by finding any game exploit I could find and using it to my advatange... but to each their own.

7 total bases with gold jackie in one game. Yuck
I'm about to toss my system out the window trying to finish this one. He has literally no pop vs righties, I'm struggling to keep my sanity.
Exactly.. and they’re really trying to make people believe that these moments are on Rookie and Veteran..? That’s a complete and total LIE.

Just got back to the house and we’re still frozen. Working on about 19 hours now... I guess I’ll be firing up some Super Mario 3 for the NES tonight..

So i have a question... Does anyone actually have fun playing this game?
Cuz even Youtubers like Kyle, Kevingohd, etc are always just pissed And anoyed when playing this game. And it's the same with me, this game just annoys the [censored] outta me. Does anyone actually enjoy it?
There are times when I enjoy myself, and there are times when I want to bust the controller.
Thing is, for me at least, I like competition. I’ve always loved to compete and this game gives me an avenue to do that. That’s why I never quit out against players that have me dominated in ranked. I try and learn from them and study their pitch sequencing, lineup construction, plate approach, etc.
Being 38 years old there aren’t many things for me to do anymore which satisfy my desire for competition. This is one of them..
I joined a 30 and over baseball league last summer because men’s softball just wasn’t cutting it for me.. guys weren’t serious, guys drinking beers while playing.. I just didn’t like it. Hasn’t played baseball since high school and decided to take the jump back in and had the time of my life last year.. I looked forward to playing every week. This year Covid19 will most likely cancel/push back our league but I’ll be back again when the league fires back up.

Hey guys- been playing since MLB 17 and I’ve been regularly making CS the past few years.. have NEVER gotten over the hump and made WS.
Have always played on a regular old flat screen 46 inch tv. I’ve always heard that switching to gaming monitors DOES make a difference in swing timing input and I’m ready to make the investment this year.
Problem for me is I’m not really very savvy with monitor/CPU lingo/knowledge so I’m just kind of shopping around at Wal-Mart, eBay, Mercari and not exactly knowing which one I should go with or what will be sufficient? I’m mainly seeing 24 inch and 27 inch models..
Looking to get some help on what would be a good choice that isn’t going to cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks in advance guys..

@BTurgeon90 said in Is getting a reliever CAP to diamond possible right now?:
There’s a few different ways to progress.
There are Moments that earn you points towards cap player. As well as a bronze, silver and gold collection. Then after those there are some missions. pitch 50innings(can be done offline)
pitch 75 innings ONLINE
Then 100 strikeouts (on or offline)
And 150Ks online. If you do all the moments and collections you can do just the offline missions and get to the max 89 overall
I currently am about 25Ks away from getting the 89 diamond CAP
Thank you!!

Keep grinding fellas !
KEEP GRINDING!
Better then having a trust fund DD team and quitting within the first 3 innings LOL
(Hate it when they quit for stats purposes only, but love it when quit because their store bought team didn’t help them win)I usually don’t mind the dashboard quit but yesterday night a guy really upset me when he quit mid home run in extra innings. I crushed one with FOTF Josh Bell who I have been struggling with since adding him to my lineup..
I think in about 20 plate appearances I was hitting .150 with just 1 dinger so when he got a hold of one to end it I REALLY wanted that bomb to land!! I shouldn’t care but I hate looking at shitty numbers when my players come up to the dish. Lol

Could have also called this thread "I'm a loser"
Just failed my 22nd attempt at 2nd Inning Showdown. This time on the second mini boss after getting in a position of only needing one run from my last 11 outs. I've been tracking all my attempts across all Showdowns. Two successes out of 53 total attempts (includes a few forfeits).
I ain't blaming the game, it's all on this dude (well, actually maybe 5% of my outs are BS fly outs).
Good thing is I aint mad about it no more, and am still having a fun ... sort of.That’s frustrating man.. not sure about your approach at the plate...? Maybe try sitting on fastballs, sitting high in the zone, or both..? Seems to help me when I’m struggling. Good luck and keep at it.

@Paladin2MP said in Is FOTF Tatis as good as he seems?:
I have 10 Fotf done up to 70 points.
- Torres is a beast
- Carlos Santana he’s a switch hitter and can also catch if needed
- Kyle Seager just smashes lefties and because he’s a lefty himself most people will leave their lefty in to face him
- Moncada. Another switch hitter can also play multiple positions
- Albies mashes lefties
- Conforto. Guy hits bombs but his fielding sucks
7 Tattis good speed and he can hit too - Blackmon. No fielding but smashes righties
9 Snell. He throws hard but can be picked up after a few innings
Thanks for your brief rundown on each player you’ve had some reps with.. I’ve heard some good stuff about that Seager and like you said people don’t respect the reverse splits and that gives you a big edge (I’ve hit some moonshots left on left with that reward Grandy card from the first inning.. same thing, people just pitch him like a normal lefty and I love it!).
I’m having a good time with the Albies too.. one of my better hitters and doesn’t do much wrong in the field.

I bang with Trevor Story... solid defense and if you square one up he hits the ball a long long way.
