FWIW the last 2 days have been the lightest bot activity in months. I think SDS is trying this week to combat it. Whether it’s the constant app updates or then paying attention, something is resulted in less bots. There’s still more work to be done, but I notice a difference. Might also have something to do with lots of cards going up and down with new collection and cards that haven’t had much bot attention have become the cards people are going for. Either way, the bots have been awful and it’s a huge problem. If you’re just looking for a yes or no if they exist - they definitely do.

I also feel bad for the sds employees that I’ve seen pop their head up to communicate issues or respond to problems. I can’t imagine how embarrassing and downright humiliating it must be to work on a game that has so many unbelievable problems. New problems coming up daily! I agree, it’s upsetting when I hear my 11yo and his friends talking about all the problems this game has and saying it’s made by idiots and how they didn’t even know that something can be sold to consumers in such a broken state and remain broken all the time. I’ve tried to explain to them it’s not the people actually working on the game, it’s the people that they work for that decide what/when things get fixed and for reasons unknown, they just don’t want to fix the game. It is totally sad how great this game was and still could be and the way it’s letting so many loyal fans down. I agree. The way they dropped this pos on the community and ignore all the fans begging for them to fix things is a disgrace.

@SDS_JoeK_PSN my Postgame progress is tracking both Legends & Flashbacks Event and Old School Event, but only LaF is visible in Programs.
Is the Old School Event still awarding progress, or is this another copy/paste artifact?

This still happens on the companion app. iOS with latest companion app. This occurs when going to the view my orders for any equipment card viewed from my inventory.
To replicate :
Go to 26 tab on bottom right.
Go to my inventory
Filter to equipment
Go to any owned equipment that isn’t no sell
Tap bottom right and go to view my orders
Screen blanks. -

At some point (now), there needs to be actual human oversight of the marketplace. If you can build an automated system that reliably detects and removes bots, great. Until then, some cards are nearly impossible to move with buy/sell orders.
The patterns are obvious. Bots instantly outbid or undercut orders, and when you cancel your order, they often react immediately and maintain position. Today I watched multiple orders appear above mine before the app had even finished refreshing the order book. It didn’t matter whether the price made sense or not—three new orders magically appeared.
At a certain point you stop asking, “How do I compete with this?” and start asking, “Why am I even bothering?”
A human monitoring the market over time can identify suspicious behavior, review accounts, and investigate clear patterns that persist for hours. That’s something automation doesn’t seem to be accomplishing right now.
I’ve seen countless reports of players being restricted for marketplace activity—including myself. What I haven’t seen is a marketplace that doesn’t feel dominated by bots.
We’re constantly told AI is the future. That’s fine. But until AI can actually clean up the marketplace, there needs to be human oversight.
I’d rather be playing the game than writing forum posts about the marketplace. The fact that I’m here doing this instead should probably tell you something.

I got a notice earlier to update the app version I was using is unsupported. I updated. It worked fine for a little bit and now I’m getting the same pop up that the version is unsupported and I do not see another update in the App Store. To be clear, the app is unusable atm. I’m using 7.5.4 on iOS. 6/5 @ 6pm PT.

Well. My account works on the app again. I never heard back from my support ticket. The neglect this game shows to its players is just awful.

Same happened to me. I noticed one hour ago my account works on the app again. I have not heard anything back from my support ticket either. From reading forums and Reddit it’s clear this happened to lots of people. I only read of one guy getting a reply but that reply wasn’t even addressing what he contacted them about. Awful how they restricted tons of accounts with no notice or explanation and unable to provide any help. Awful experience.

I have 40k xp to go and was going to grind it out over the weekend until I noticed that it didn’t seem possible since I let my online pass lapse. I only played online when events required it and it just wasn’t enjoyable for me to get crushed every game. Ive kept playing online in the past because I hoped things would get fixed to improve the game but it seems pretty clear that nobody is fixing or improving anything. I know the multiplayer inning is based on online stuff but didn’t realize the offline inning requires multiple xp rewards from events and battle royal. Even with double xp it seemed unreachable so I didn’t even try to grind. I like this game so much and so fed up with it at the same time. I hate to say it, and not like anybody cares, but I’m losing interest. fast.

It doesn’t feel good to realize you’ve spent so much time on a game that’s made by a company that takes its players for granted. They will keep doing what they do, which is nothing. They aren’t going to say anything and they aren’t going to do anything. If they do, surely it will be the wrong thing to do that won’t benefit anyone. At this point, they are just running a business, not making a game. They don’t care if people are happy playing the game or not. The greed and betrayal they show to their loyal players is astonishing. Trumpian.

No. I have not heard a reply to my support ticket either. I just want to play this game and enjoy it. and I swear, SDS is making it soooo hard! I can only assume this happened for buying and selling too many gold tier elbow guards. It’s insane to think my market interactions on iPhone app and console could be mistaken for bot behavior. It’d be nice to have this fixed asap!

@manu__sds_mlbts The Companion App still shows my account as restricted, and at this point it’s getting pretty hard not to be frustrated.
First, credit where it’s due: the app itself is working great. This isn’t an app problem. This is an SDS problem. Something on the backend is restricting accounts without notice, explanation, or apparently any response to support tickets. Mine has been sitting for two days now.
I know one of the devs occasionally pops into these forums asking for information on issues, and that’s appreciated. Even if SDS as a company has been completely silent on these restrictions, it’s clear at least somebody is listening.
What makes this especially maddening is that while legitimate marketplace users are getting restricted, the activity everyone associates with bots appears to be happening in plain sight. Sponsorships suddenly selling 60 times a minute instead of 3 times an hour. Cards going from a handful of sales a day to dozens a minute. Orders changing so fast that listings barely appear before they’re undercut again.
Try to jump into one of those markets and it’s like you’re playing whack-a-mole against someone with a machine gun.
If the goal was stopping bots, banning active marketplace users doesn’t seem like it’s accomplishing that. The bots are apparently still drinking everyone’s milkshake.
At this rate, maybe SDS will start banning people for hitting too many home runs. “Congratulations, your account has been restricted for excessive engagement.”
Nobody expects an apology. Nobody expects SDS to suddenly acknowledge years of bot complaints. But it would be nice to see one of three things happen:
- Reverse these restrictions if they’re catching legitimate players.
- Respond to support tickets.
- Clearly explain what marketplace or app behavior can trigger a restriction.
The only guidance I’ve ever seen is don’t use automated tools or third-party apps, which I’ve never done.
It’s wildly unfair to restrict people for trying to play the game, especially while the activity these restrictions are supposedly targeting appears to be continuing uninterrupted.

@migtrain_PSN when you say submitted a ticket, does that mean going to request help and filling out form for account problem? I did that yesterday and haven’t heard/seen anything.

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS btw, the app seems to be working great. iOS for me. The problem is bans given yesterday. Similar to the end of March shortly after 2026 was released. Same problem getting an error occurred notice. Some anti bot setting on your end is restricting accounts making X amount of transactions in X amount of time. The app is working great. The anti-bot measures, not great. If anything, the app is working so well that your bot detection measures need to be adjusted because people are using the app again.

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS theres been some sort of restriction put on users making a lot of market transactions on the app. The message literally says “account is restricted”. Please fix this asap. If there are going to be limits to buy/sell orders volume wise or time wise you guys should make that clear so users playing by the rules don’t get punished. Without any kind of notice, the most active marketplace users are getting shadow banned on the app and that sucks. If you guys could act quickly on this it would be appreciated. At this point, many of your most engaged players are banned from using the app. Plz fix.
