I have a little over 100k stubs saved up and and I’m looking to replace my current shortstop Hanley Ramirez. Any recommendations?

I know the roster updates happen every week, but does anyone know what day each week it happens on?

I thought they agreed to Universal DH for both '20 and '21. That was what was floating around a couple days ago.

MLBPA of rejected the proposal that said that, and the one that is official only includes it this year, I believe

That’s the point of prime cards. To reflect the peak of a players prime

So then this year that’s not the case and everyone hates it because it’s not 99s. I understand wanting to have the best players at every opportunity, but that doesn’t mean we need the same flow of maxed out players 2 months into a game. Baseball should be less reliant on the cards and more o the actual player behind the sticks (RNG says otherwise, different argument) and keeping some lower OVR cards that we play with better than 99 Joe Random is how I go about it. If I’m good with a card I’m keeping him. We playing for longevity or 30 second highs from max players????

Gonna be honest. As far as I know, I think it’s mostly in regards to starting pitching. From what I’ve heard, everyone is tired of facing mostly Kluber and Newhouser in their lineups. I can’t nessacarily say that a lot of people are angry with them for not putting in a lot of 99’s but just from the fact that those are two pitchers that everyone uses most of their games

Hold up I didn’t even know pitchers confidence affected this, I thought it was just the ability to throw strikes more often than not

You can go into defensive positioning and change the infielders to cover 2B. Also, they automatically do this because you give up a step or by overing the base.

I don’t nessacarily have an answer for your first question. But for the they do that is I’m pretty sure just the A.I./ Programming. I know that sometimes when I’m playing vs. the CPU they’ll go for something they can’t get to and are easily thrown out. And as far as I know I’ve never seen the CPU get in a rundown.

Those of you who follow this thread know that at the trade deadline I made a 3 team deal with the Dodgers & Pirates. in that trade one of the pieces I got was Joc Pederson. At first I viewed Pederson as a rental. My plan going into 2021 was to use Senzel (who I picked up from the Reds mid July) to fill in the vacant outfield spot in Center and move Benintendi back to left with Downs taking over at second. However Senzel is really struggling and I'm starting to view him as a super utility Brock Holt style player. Pederson on the other hand has almost single handedly kept me in contention hitting .345 with 10 home runs and 26 rbis since the deadline. I'm starting to view him as less of a rental and more of a potential long term answer in left field. I could lock him into somewhere around a 5 year deal at around 50.00M. He's definitely my best in house option and looks to be the 3rd best outfielder in the free agent pool behind Betts and Martinez (neither of whom I plan on trying to resign) so my question to you guys is.

Do I lock Pederson up now? Or do I wait and see what the off season has to offer?

I feel like for someone like Joc, who even though he’s been crushing for you, more of a platoon player, 5 years might be a little over kill. I’d think maybe a 2-3 year deal for someone like him? And if he continues to shine you can always ship him off for some prospects if you struggle next season

The cards from last year (for the most part) were pulled in packs which means they could be sold. The ones from this year are only obtained during a program, and like all the other cards In programs except the players league cards, they cannot be sold

Completely agree. The altitude there makes balls fly out of there. And I don’t feel like they should prohibit players from taking starters out of the bullpen, but just to hinder their stamina closer to releavers.
