Honestly, this game is so much better than Madden or 2k for BS. Sure you’ll get bunt danced every once in a while, but honestly the nasty messages are rare. At least in my experiences. 2k is the worst by far IMO. The garbage and ignorance in that game makes it unplayable. And that’s sad cuz it’s such a good game. But ya just can’t play online without putting up with an insane amount of ignorance.

Surprised nobody mentioned Scott Rolen. That’s a card I’d love to see.

Well BR is online and it is 20 times slower....so give me something else!
In BR, most of the time you’re facing a pitcher who’s 70-84 or somewhere around there. I would think that makes a big difference in perception when compared to facing a 99 in RS or events.

Honestly I don’t get how y’all can prestige players so fast. Must play a lot cause I haven’t prestige’s anybody yet and I’ve been playing a while maybe it’s cause a lot of my home runs are dashboard
Last night I played someone who had 45 HR with Belli already. I’m like bro get a woman
I am astonished at the players too who have Verlander already... 100 event wins is incredible
Verlander was 60 win reward
Apologies but still 60 wins in a week is insane
I completely agree. I don’t know how guys do it. I’m right around .500 for the event in 35 games or so and there’s only been one guy I’ve played against that had a losing record. I know it’s late in the cycle, but [censored]...every game my opponent is 120-74 or 90-35 or something like that. It’s tough not to get discouraged and keep grinding to get the rewards. Probably wasn’t a good idea to play Friday night tho. I think I lost 6 of my last 7 or something like that lol

@smalltownkid1990 said in Got Bellinger, lineup might be done.:
Machado is too slow to play SS imo.
I’ve been using him in the event at SS with Freddie at 3rd and Belli at 1st and he’s been amazing

I also have to let the dog out/in, deal with kids so I pause a bit for sure. Never unnecessarily tho. But sometimes I feel like my opponent might think I’m doing it to be an A**

Put in buy orders for golds...as they come in, sell them. Buy silvers with your earnings...rinse, repeat. Making enough stubs to purchase one level of each TA program will take you 1/10th the time as showdown or MTO. It’s meticulous, but can also get addictive.

@Tankdriver499 said in Anyone stuck on miggyx3?:
Its moments like these that make me debate getting an one pass. You can't get the card offline because they set it just below the 50 requirement. I wish there were offline rquirments. Ex. Online hit 10 xbh, or 30 offline
Defeat the Tigers on All Star difficulty or higher gets you +8 and is offline if you don’t want to do the 3xbh.

Is Degrom under 150k? He is better than Ryan
Completing the TA will cost you probably less than 150K and you will get stubs and packs back
Not from scratch it wouldn’t
No? Buying 16 77’s at around 120 stubs each would cost you less than 2000 stubs per level. Multiply that by 27 levels for the TA4 player and you’re less than 55k for the entire team TA. Not to mention the 24,500 free stubs for doing it, all the free packs and the other TA3 sellable card you’d acquire along the way. Take one hour and put in some buy orders for 75’s-79’s and you’ll be done in a few hours. Explain to me again how this would cost more than 150k? If you’re not making stubs by doing a full TA by now, you’re doing it wrong.
-
That’s fine, but if you want to solve your problem, you should go to practice and change your settings so they follow you to DD. You said you’ve tried doing it in the options screen and that didn’t work...If this doesn’t work either, then you have a bigger problem or you’re trying to change settings that aren’t able to be changed in DD.

Tag one of deadphish1976 comments so he gets a notification. I think he’s in charge of it. Like you, I have no idea what is entailed in leagues either, hopefully it’s fun and chill.

Also, do u have control freaks? Those help out a ton with pci placement.
If his problem is moving the pci down, he doesn’t have great control over the pci. Making the pci even more sensitive is probably only going to increase his problems, not help them.
Control freaks allow you to more accurately place the pci wdym lol. I had problems dropping my pci before using them. That’s their purpose.
Actually, from their website it says their purpose is to help make smaller, more precise in game movements. Good players use them because they have excellent pci control and benefit from even more precise input. OP has said he isn’t a very good player, so I would assume it’s safe to say he has poor pci placement and control and would not benefit from the increased sensitivity. By all means, go ahead and try them out, if they help, awesome. But from what I’m gathering it’s only going to throw fuel on his fire.
It’s hard to not flick the pci without control freaks. With control freaks, it’s easier to get more precise placement, despite skill.
I’m glad that has been your experience and they helped you. It’s more precise because it takes less movement. OP has stated he flicks it too much so he struggles with precision. Making it more sensitive would be the opposite of helping him. Can’t hurt to try them out tho.
Actually those kontrol freaks don’t make it more sensitive, in actuality it makes the pci less sensitive and more smooth. It simple physics. The further away from the base you get the more pressure is needed to make a movement. So if you raise the analog stick the more pressure you’ll need to move the stick. Hence they will help a person who has a problem over correcting (dropping pci) .
I don’t know what ‘simple physics’ you’re referring to, but if you’re under the impression that the further away from a base you are, then more pressure is needed to make movement, then you need a refresher. See...any torque wrench or any other object designed to reduce work by extending an object away from its base.
You’re absolutely correct. The cheater bar is another example. But you are actually applying more force by doing that that’s why the adjustment is smoother. The force however is be applied at the base of the object. That is what I mean by applying more force.
Well then that makes a lot more sense. But it still requires less work/pressure on the person applying it to apply the same/more amount of force. I’m surprised you had 3 people agree with your statement tho lol. Anyway, I’m done arguing this. Makes no difference to me whether I’m right or wrong, but from what I’m reading, small movements with a KF would be more sensitive and require less pressure, but it would take more movement to get to the edges of the strike zone, so in all actuality, these could be exactly what OP needs. Have a good day. Took me back a while to the old university physics classes for a minute. Kind of enjoyed reading up to be honest. Geez I never thought I’d say that

I had the same problem with dropping my PCI. I would recommend watching “MLB 20 hitting tips” by YourFriendKyle on YouTube. I’m a much better hitter after watching it a couple times . Kyle is da man!
Wow! I had no idea he was that good. I played him the other day in the event and I actually beat him. I wouldn’t expect to do it again, but you know what they say? Even a broken clock is right twice a day
LOL, nice! I’m an average player online and have pulled out some event W’s against WS players. I need the little ego boosts like that in this game
Yeah I agree. Seems like that’s all that’s left is guys who are 150-60 and that stuff so it definitely feels good when we can take one home lol.

Crosley Field is where it’s at
I think this is my least favourite place to play. The windows in the buildings in the batters eye makes it harder to pick up the ball IMO. Maybe it was the guy using a certain pitcher and it came out of his hand at a difficult spot, but I immediately put that one on my own ‘do not choose’ list.

Negative
That's kind of how I feel, but I hate having access to just 5 players. I think it alienates the offline players. I know I need to get good, but playing online is not fun for me.
I used to be offline only like you, but then I focused on just Prestiging cards and not winning and I am now addicted to ranked seasons. I have 41 cards prestiged and I am very close with 5 others.
Problem is I have a hard time hitting as it is. It would take me longer to prestige online than it would offline. Mainly because I have a young son who I need to be able to pause the game for longer periods of time. Online play doesn't fit his schedule.
Take it from me. I have 4 kids and have been playing online since 18. Dont focus on RS but use the events to prestige your players. Events bring out all types of players and its not always a sweat feast. Personally I wish they would do away with Prestige. Its just an excuse to have us spend more game time for cards we would have earned last year. I doubt they will if anything they will expand it.
I had the opposite experience in events, all goons. Not fun.
I’ve had pretty much the same experience. Everyone has been really good. But I think it’s forced me to buckle down and brought out some good in me. So I think I’m probably better off for playing it and getting guys closer to prestiged and learning along the way. I only started playing events the last one and this one and I have a few guys really close. I got lefty and I think I was 25-27 so I’m happy with that considering the level of competition was so high. Take your lumps sometimes, but you’ll be better off in the end IMO

Jackie's 99 is a good card, but at this point in the game, he's not a top 10 option at any poistion he's eligible to play. If you have Biggio, Hornsby, 98 Mondesi, Finest Betts or Wagner, you're likely to have a better 2b option without the grind of Jackie's evo program.
Seager and Tatis Jr are also much better than Jackie IMO. Lots of options.

Thanks for all the input everyone. Any tips on how to make Conquest go quicker? I think I'm not great at that because I feel like I go in circles on the options and it takes me a long time to make progress.
Steal 3M fans first, then lock up as many free spots as possible so when you go and challenge a stronghold you can play on all star or lower and pretty much guarantee a win and not have to replay any strongholds. There’s also descriptions of where the rewards are on some of the maps if you google them. And play the team you steal from first to help yourself out
-
If you’re always dropping, I’d recommend setting your pci just below the top of the strike zone and don’t snap it when the pitch is almost there. Try to move it gradually with the ball cuz if you can keep from flicking it, you should be able to get pieces of it and foul off more pitches and also square up more cuz ya rarely get a good hit if the pitch is out of the zone. Also, practice on legend and repeat play with an 0-2 count. Usually the pitcher is going to throw you a tough pitch or a ball in the dirt and it should help you start to notice those pitches and layoff them. Also, repeat play a 3-0 count and only swing at meatballs down the middle, trying to layoff anything on the corners. Hope this helps you out. It seemed to help me.
