People have been saying conquest has become more aggressive several times a year for several years now.

I personally have not noticed a difference.

I play conquest regularly over the years and will say it is a pain this year. Today I took the Nats stronghold and had 9 fans to spare, attacked an adjacent hex with 7 and lost and they didn’t lose any. They took 2 more of my hex’s and then proceeded to attack the stronghold I just took on the same turn! Of course I simmed and lost so had to redo that one. I had never seen this until today. Was losing a lot of sims all day. I like the concept of conquest and all of the stubs, packs, xp, and grinding you can get done, but I want to play baseball, not hexagon simulator, lol.

Same here, guess I will reset it and try.

Wondering this as well, any updates if early access will work on both?

If it stays the same, 3 minutes for the whole game is more than fair. It should never regenerate. Even better, get rid of warming up pitchers and use mlb mound visit rules. This takes away the spam pausing that occurs with the timer. Give hitters 3 :30 pauses to start that are only burned if they don’t make a change. After the third one they are required to make a change. I would say that greater than 50% of the gamers I have played abuse the pause menu. There should be a seizure warning with the constant spamming between screens, not to mention the quick pitch that always follows immediately after.

I thought this past weekend was great and wild card weekend was a success. Baseball is just going to be lost on some people. Sports are in an age where sloppy play is more exciting than a 15 inning 1-0 game. I am in the minority probably in the opinion that to grow the game, the MLB is going to need to stick to the international tiebreaker even in the playoffs to get the game wrapped up.

They need to get rid of the pause or limit it drastically. Way too many pause abusers in this game. R2 is the only way to combat it and if you hold it while they spam pause then you lose it. Terrible move getting rid of R2 when pause is by far the bigger issue.

The parallel system is great compared to old stat missions, those were awful. They just need to continue to tweek the pxp system.

Pausing in this game is ridiculous, hold R2 when they come out of pause and they can’t quick pitch you. The pause junkees already intend to make it a long game. Make them feel the pain, it’s amazing how quickly the shenanigans stop.

Just R2 the pause junkees. Especially after they go to the pause menu.

Make the switch, it sucks at first but you should get it pretty quick. You can draw clown faces and it still goes close to your spot. Used meter forever, it is useless now. They need a good overhaul with it.

These moonshot events have been an absolute slog for me. Yes, I have won and lost many, but there is no other part of this game that show just how many flaws there actually are between hitting and pitcher confidence. Even more so than moments and showdown. Nothing makes sense, for either team. We have had this event 4 times I think? Give us some hall of fame quick counts again, anything for that matter.

I am not good with PPP but am getting better. I just started a couple weeks ago. Long time meter user that was tired of missing by a hair and watching my pitch go right down the middle. With PPP I can draw clown faces and the pitch still goes in the area I wanted it.

Ok, so now the R2 abuser that is upsetting you once every 50 games is going to go into quick menu or pause the rest of the pitches in the at bat. Thats better?

yes, because it wastes their pause time and they could screw up and forfeit

You get 3 minutes of time and then some more added back. The pausing is already the absolute worst and most toxic part of this game. I played 15 online games yesterday with 0 R2 spammers. About half of my opponent’s abused the pause menu though. Some were probably off baking a cake and posting on instagram, others were pausing so much there should have been a seizure warning.

Ok, at least we got here^. If you remove R2 it would be even more of a pause fest than what it already is. I will take R2 all day every day over pause. R2 does not affect your meter at all, it doesn’t even allow you to start the meter. If you mean it disrupts your rhythm than that makes sense, but that is also part of the game. Just take a deep breath and don’t go Jered Weaver over it. While on the topic I would like to see pause and warming up pitchers go away in favor of using timed mound visits conforming to MLB rules.

The pretty simple solution is for R2 to give you the same information without effecting the pitcher at all. Using it for information has never been a problem

Idk man, I agree r2 shouldnt effect thevpitcher at all as well, but also wouldn't want to face outlier and changups in rapid fire.

If they pause on every single pitch because they need that much analysis to swing the bat, then they will run out of pause time quite quickly. So yes. And you can't pause after the pitcher selects his pitch.

For the record, I don’t use R2 much at all, maybe for a second here or there to see where I was pitched last at bat. Even then it is a quick pull and release. I am not bothered by others that do the same. I do not use “pause” at all as there is no need for it in this game whatsoever. The quick menu is all that is needed for no more than maybe 10 seconds. I could pause after every single pitch for a second up to 180 pitches and still have time left over. You really want to go that route?

If people are using R2 as they say they are they would be wasting their pause time on pitch analysis. What it seems like your arguing is that pausing just to be toxic would be more annoying than using R2 just to be toxic

I am not arguing anything. I am an advocate of making this a better game than what it currently is. R2 is an “in game” mechanic that helps keep gameplay moving. “Pause” does not, it halts the game and puts one player at the mercy of the “pauser”. There is no reason to pause the game, it should be either removed or limited. I shouldn’t have to sit there and watch the timer because 1) you were not ready to play 2) you are mad because you are getting beat 3) you need to watch a tik tok video. I have yet to hear why pause is needed. If you get rid of R2, people will pause and gameplay will be much less enjoyable.
