Is anyone having success with Machado on HOF and above? Through 20 games he is hitting .167 for me and cannot seemingly pull a ball to save his life. He’s the only hitter on my team struggling and the ball always seems to hit the bat late no matter when I swing. Literally every hit he has for me has been oppo
For reference, every other batter on my team is hitting .390 and above during the same time. Lemahieu, Griffey, Betts, Freeman, Soto, etc
Not sure if I should keep giving Machado chances and this is just extremely bad luck with one player
Does anyone know the process for getting new players added into the game? I thought it was as soon as they appeared in a game but he’s still not on the Reds roster.
While on the topic of the Reds roster, why is Nick Senzel listed as a second basemen?
It felt so good knowing that working deep into the count and winning AB after AB was going to set me up for success later in the game. My opponent had a tough decision ahead, stick with his starter to eat more innings or go to his pen and risk tiring them out.
Oh wait, this is MLB 20 so he put in another SP and was just fine. Never mind.

I understand that point of view but let me offer another one.
I drink coffee while I play DD. If I hit a home run, I’ve earned the extra 10 seconds to sip my coffee and relax while enjoying my work.
And if I give up a home run and you replay it back? I get an extra 10 seconds to throw my controller through the wall in anger and still have time to plug in a new unbroken one

I’m sure there have been times where people would have came back down 10 after 4 innings as well. The rule is there to prevent griefing, doesn’t make sense that players can grief all they want innings 1-3.

Ehhh, I don't think that's it. Top players spend their games pitching to other top players, hence the high ERAs.
Shippett is most definitely a huge part of the inflated slugging and ERAs. It’s why everyone plays there.
Elevation matters quite a bit interestingly enough. It’s why Bayfront is the worst place to play in the game on the opposite end of the spectrum. That park is at sea level and it’s no coincidence it’s like playing in the dead ball era there

You don’t have a clue. Elevation does matter in this game. There’s a reason people that play at Shippett have high slg and terrible ERAs compared to others who don’t and have the same skill level.
At Shippett all you have to do is be completely under the ball with your PCI and it’s gone. Any other park it’s a routine fly out

They do it to pad their stats too. It’s nice to see a .900 slg next to your name. I don’t blame them, but it doesn’t make the park a good one for skill gap.

I honestly don’t care how a dude gets to WS. I just hate playing a ranked game in a format I don’t care for. I also don’t think YOU need to play ina format you don’t care for.
I made WS the first season of my first time ever playing DD in 17 on a 55 inch TV screen with no game mode. I was using fish eye as my hitting view. I did that using all those conquest cards you used to get.
Monitor, good connection, and good cards help but it doesn’t make a trash can into a good player.
Some of you all just can’t accept the fact that there are others better than you at this game.
No doubt you must be good and if you stink you won’t make WS on any level. But if we are being honest 17 was a better game. And you would’ve done better if you had a monitor, wired internet and played with all diamonds to deny that is just silly
