Why do so many people choose Shippet stadium?
-
I guess I'm in the minority on this one but it's easy enough to hit HRs in this game, the last thing we need is to play in a stadium where you can hit a HR to dead center at 96 mph or to straightaway LF or RF at 89 mph. If your'e someone that regularly chooses Shippet stadium (or something like Colorado or Laughing Mountain), I kindly ask you to reconsider your stadium choices in the future.
-
nah im good
-
Yeah sure no problem
-
It has the altitude of a Coors Field but the lag of a minor league park, so all the cool kids play there.
-
Can we play at those places if we ask kindly ? Pretty please

Laughing mountain is a great stadium along with coors. Im a rockies fan so I might be Bias haha

What’s funny I just started using It. I just like the vibe there. Relaxing

Minor league parks play better than MLB stadiums. And it’s the best minor league park to see the ball while hitting.
-
Shippett is a terrible park. Rewards awful pci placement. So if you suck at the game or want to pad your stats so you can feel good about your inflated average, it’s the choice for you.
-
Because they’re sheep and lack any ability to make choices on their own. Just do what they see on twitch.

While that could be reason for some people, majority of top players in the world play there every game ️

I only like playing at Shippet so I can see my awful hitting stats. Always love seeing the stats with my players and I tried to play at stadiums with great scoreboards.

Literally every park rewards awful pci placement. It’s not the park it’s the game bruh lol. Who cares ab shippet can we talk about the people that play at the time where you can’t see the [censored] ball coming out the pitchers hand cuz of the sun setting
-
It has the monumental batters eye, allowing for a much cleaner look at pitches.

Shippett is the worst because of that elevation. It’s terrible.
But I’d gladly play there over any park with that glare or Bayfront. Bayfront is the exact opposite of Shippett, it’s the dead ball era since the elevation is basically sea level

They do it to pad their stats too. It’s nice to see a .900 slg next to your name. I don’t blame them, but it doesn’t make the park a good one for skill gap.
-
True. I also like it because the batters eye is great. Some minor league fields can be tough to see especially with lefties. The batters eye is huge and a good color.
-
I never used that stadium. I’ve always chosen CBP

Coors has an altitude of 5,280 ft.
Shippett is 3,002 ft. So it isn't Coors, but its 3/5 of the way there, the main thing is Shippett has some altitude but it is TINY.
The better minor league comparison to Coors is Laughing Mountain which is an altitude of 5,005 ft but much much larger than Shippett.
In Shippett you can play OF with limited range and be fine. With Laughing Mountain you need guys with range, especially in CF.
I play Laughing Mountain as my home park and love it. You get punished for having slugs in the OF and triples galore for speed guys that crushit to the gaps.
